Unable to properly sign in to RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) online banking since install of the latest Firefox release 72.0.1. Windows 10, up to date. Other sites work. Chrome can access RBC ok. No error messages, it just doesn't get through the bank security protocol for some reason via Firefox. Sits with a blank screen.

I delete Default Browser and all other search engines except Google. I then get Google search results for a bit but then later on I start getting a Yahoo panel at top of browser page. Go into Preferences and it shows under Search Engines a Browser Default. Can't get Firefox to stop going back to Browser Default which seems to be Yahoo. Any help appreciated. Thank you

FF 72.0.1 for Windows. See if I can explain this problem. I migrated Chrome bookmarks to a new profile on my desktop. I cleaned up the migration bookmarks and saved to an html file for a backup. I also created a new profile on my laptop that I did attempt to sync with the desktop which was when I first noticed issues with the synced bookmarks/folders.

RIght now I have sync turned off on both machines and am concentrating only on the desktop. I deleted all the bookmarkbackups directory files and deleted places.sqlite and imported the saved html file to get the desktop where I want it. However, when I turn sync on (with sync turned off on the laptop) it adds folders and bookmarks, some of which were NOT there in the Chrome migration and some duplicates that I had created on the laptop. Deleting the WEAVE directory makes no difference. I don't know where this information is coming from, whether cache or ff backups, but I want to have a clean set of bookmarks, that I can sync to a clean laptop.

Can someone please tell me where this previously synced (some not) information is coming from so I can delete and start from scratch.

No matter what I try based on internet searches, and on this forum, I can't get my browser to save any history. After I close the closer at end of day, it erases everything. I even created a new profile.... no good. Uninstalled and re-installed.... no good. Places integrity checker says the database is sane. I checked my system care software and disabled any privacy sweeps months ago. My older (a few years back) firefox used to save everything....

Yesterday, youtube quit working in Firefox. I updated to 72.0.2 several days ago and it was working fine. Invidio links also won't play. Nor will YT embedded vids on Diaspora. Plays fine testing with Safari. I think my privacy settings are causing this problem, but I don't know which one(s) to change. Ant Ideas ?

My BMP files open from my Atlassian site in Chrome and IE but *NOT* in Firefox...it used to work but some version broke it. The "Properties" in Atlassian says "New Content Type=image/bmp" when you import a BMP file which works in Chrome and IE but I get a window with <The image "blah blah blah" cannot be displayed because it contains errors> in Firfox 72.0.1 under Windows 10 (and Windows 7). If I MANUALLY CHANGE every file to "New Content Type=bmp" then they will open in Firefox. Please FIX this..."image/bmp" and "bmp" are the SAME THING!

Attached is a sample file...no wait this will *NOT* let me attach a BMP file (apparently you just hate that filetype)!

I want to report that updating to version 73.0 today - Feb. 11, 2020, caused Firefox to stop working entirely. I could not find answers in Support and ended up doing a system restore on my laptop in order to go back to Version 72.0. Now Firefox is working again. Never had this problem with previous updates. IF THIS UPDATE HAS BUGS can someone please try to fix them? Thank you!

The last two days, when browsing Twitter on my desktop computer, it's automatically switched the format to the mobile version - which is harder to navigate - from the standard desktop version of Twitter. I can't figure out why it's doing this. It's doing this in Chrome, too. However, in Internet Explorer, it's properly rendering the desktop version of Twitter.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a way for Firefox to load the desktop version of Twitter as a default?

After Firefox updated, I can no longer access www.apple.com. This is the error I get now:

Blocked by X-Frame-Options Policy

An error occurred during a connection to idmsa.apple.com.

Firefox prevented this page from loading in this context because the page has an X-Frame-Options policy that disallows it.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue as soon as possible. Thank You.

I can easily find a bookmark by searching in the Library "All bookmarks" window. However, I cannot figure out how to see folder that contains that bookmark. In Safari there an optional column for folder and you can then right-click and get an option to open the folder.

Is there a way to do this in Firefox?

I just purchased a new computer. I am trying to restore my browser bookmarks. I followed the steps to create bookmark folders. I clicked on the bookmarks icon, scrolled down to the "show all bookmarks" link thus opening the "Library" window. I then created the folders I wanted under "Bookmarks Menu" but they do not appear in the bookmarks listing.

For YEARS I had been relying on Firefox not only to clear "history" but also to clear the cache immediately when I exit Firefox. Recently started having major problems with running ANYTHING after streaming some video. Complained to the streaming web site but then realized it might be that Firefox had been changed somehow with all its "updates". When I looked into Firefox cache clearing I discovered there was already 1.0 Gigabytes of garbage in my cache from a very brief video streaming access following from a warm reboot of my computer needed to get anything at all to run properly. Downloaded the apparent "new" addon called "ClearCache" but wanted to check whether my guess is correct that the years functional cache clearing has now been separated out and that the new addon will solve my operational problem after streaming video.

When I finished with my H&R Block 2018 tax return, I saved it with Firefox in my documents folder.

Now I cannot open the file. I am not computer savvy.

Whwn trying to open a KMZ file on a web page, a popup appears asking What should Firefox do with this file. Open with is checked yet no file is associated and I have to use the Browse option and find Google Earth.

I've tried for 3 hours now simply to migrate my win7 profile to win10. Using the mozilla guide i get to a point where i open firefox and all is great. Bookmarks etc all successfully show. But then if i close fiefox and open it again, in the top left-hand corner in red i just get

Please tell me what i'm doing wrong!

Firefox is closed and not open. I don't open or start it but it starts on its own and opens a webpage. Let me know what is wrong and how does this happen?
