Fairly recently, I've noticed that Firefox will move sites automatically to a folder, fine and dandy, until it keep sending sites to the same folder despite me wanting to fill another folder. Example: browsing for computer components then looking for home improvement items, since the computer parts folder was used first, Firefox will continue to select the computer folder, when I select a different folder, in this case it's home improvement, I have about 2-3 seconds to hit save bookmark before it re selects the computer component folder, is this a feature? is there a way to disable it? or is there something else going on, any help is appreciated, it's frustrating

Restore option is also grayed out in preferences. There is no way to restore tabs and it lies when it says it will restore them after the forced reboot. It virtually destroys al my work configuring multiple windows on a frequent ( at least monthly) basis. It appears all information about restoring tabs or sessions is obsolete.

Hey folks, I just installed Firefox last week and really want it to work for me (ditching Chrome...). BUT, 2 things are happening and really testing my patience: 1. it logs me out of my account every time I x out the Firefox window or if my Mac goes to sleep (so every morning I come back I'm logged out) 2. even after I log in, it restores my bookmarks but not my preferences (so bookmarks toolbar doesn't show up, passwords that I saved don't auto-fill, etc.)

Basic info: I run HighSierra 10.13.4 I have tried the "resfresh firefox" thing I have my account syncing with my iphone The only extensions I have is "save to feedly board". I did have clockify installed but it keeps getting ditched again, so I gave up for now.

Any suggestions for how to fix this? (I am not a mac pro - please explain so I little kid could understand it too ;)

Thanks lots, Anne

I've been using the extension Screengrab! for years, and still have it installed (v2.18), but it seems to have disappeared from the add-ons repository without trace. How do I find out if the author has retired it or if Mozilla have acted over some security fear? The extension still seems to be available in the Chrome web store (can't see a version number). Screengrab! had tens of thousands of users and had been updated for web extensions (although with some loss of functionality) so it seems strange for it to just disappear.

I see that this issue has been addressed before in this community...however none of the replies made sense to me. Please... if you know how to fix this issue... reply with a clear description of it. Or at least send it to firefox....This forum is apparently the only way to resolve issues....since I have not found any way to directly contact Mozzilla/firefox.

I use firefox on multiple PCs at work and sign in to sync my bookmarks and passwords; it's been an excellent feature given I'm not guaranteed to be in the same room and on the same PC. Since the latest update, when I choose to disconnect, I no longer have the option to remove/delete synced data, specifically bookmarks and passwords. I can't find it anywhere is settings. Has this been removed?

I need Firefox Version 71.0 (64-bit) to open in a chromeless window with NO tabs, NO address bar, NO search bar, NO back/forward, NO menus, NO buttons, NO add-on icons, NO favorites, NO pocket menu, NOTHING but the title bar, window boarder, and the contents of the page that I'm viewing. My first stop was the "customize..." option in the Firefox menu. Why can't I "customize..." Firefox so that the address bar, and navigation buttons are hidden?. And why is there no way to disable+hide the use of tabs in "Preferences"?. I spent the better part of two weeks searching the Internet (and Firefox add-ons) trying to find a way to achieve this chromeless experience. I remembered that there is JavaScript that will automatically open a webpage's popup window(s) in a chromeless mode. I found examples online and decided to create a local ".html" file on my Linux Mint 19.2 (XFCE) system, add the code, then have Firefox open this local page (file:/home/user/Documents/index.html) instead of a online homepage. I disabled the "Block pop-up windows" option, and added the local "index.html" file to the exceptions. It didn't work. I checked the "about:config" settings in Firefox and found JavaScript to already be enabled. I used all the examples I found online, but none of them seem to work.

Long story short I have 3 personal email accounts. 2 of the 3 emails are tied to a Firefox Account that I am able to sign into. Apparently, I must have created a secondary Firefox account some time ago using the 3rd email address. It has 2FA enabled and I cannot log into it. It so happens that I have now migrated to using that 3rd email address as my primary email address. I do not care about losing any of the sync data that might be there, is there anyway possible to just have the account deleted or the 2FA reset so I can use that email address on my current account?

I have tried to enable two-step authentication for Firefox using Authy 2-factor Authentication app for several times, but to no avail. Prior to trying to enable it for Firefox, I succesfully enabled two-factor authentication for my Facebook, Google and Microsoft accounts. After trying it for Firefox, I also did it for my PayPal account, so the Authy app doesn't seem to be the problem here. I tried typing the six numbers with and without space in between and multiple times in two consecutive days, bot nothing seems to work. I read the QR code succesfully and added Firefox on Authy, but the code just always seems to be incorrect (I'm not sure how to translate it in english, I am using Firefox in Finnish, see the attached image). I censored all the codes in the image.

I would really like to get this to work, as two-step authentication seems to be a good way to make my account a lot more secure.

I'm curious what sort of twisted soul thought ignoring the user's configured start page(s) and displaying a pile of worthless crap telling us how great Firefox is supposed to be, was a good idea. Especially the [unprintable] clown who decided to add this "feature" in an update without providing any information, explanation, or opportunity to opt out.

And, then hiding the information about how to turn this garbage off several pages down is just adding insult to injury.

Guess what, folks, Chrome is looking better and better here.

At least Chrome and Opera both have autofill that actually works properly - including recognizing fields in online forms, while the autofill in Firefox hasn't worked even close to as well for about a year now.

But at least now I know what the developers have been working on that kept them too busy to fix existing bugs -- they were busy inventing a new way to drive users away from Firefox.

Yes, I am venting.

I wasn't quite this annoyed when I first came here, but then I had to try to log in. Due to the number of times Mozilla has changed the login system, I already had THREE saved logins for the site... And none of them worked because they were all with usernames and now the site wants an email address (and, of course, when they made the change they threw away the existing user accounts instead of just using the email address and password that was already associated with the username).

So, yes, I am venting, because I am tired and disgusted.
