This add-on called adaware had latched itself to my firefox browser which I notice every time I open a new session. It came when I installed Utorrent. I tried restarting firefox and searching for suspicious looking files in Program Files>Mozilla Firefox>defaults>pref but nothing turned up. I'm really looking forward to removing this adware as it is suspected of being a Hijacker being this is my dad's pc I am really scared right now if he finds out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Kindly help resolve this problem by the earliest.

I have Eset Smart Security Premium and had it's Passwordmanager installed in Firefox. This worked great until the update from Firefox about a month ago. Since then I cannot get it to work anymore. The Eset Passwordmanager icon disappeared and if I start the webpage with the Passwordmanager, it 'doesn't autofill the passwords anymore. Checking what the problem can be, I first saw that in firefocx add-ons the passwordmanager was moved to 'not supported' (in Dutch 'niet ondersteund') with the discription (translated from Dutch, so it may be a little different): Outdated extensions These extensions do not meet current Firefox standards and are therefore deactivated. Eset password manager autofill engine could not be verified for use in firefox and is disabled.
After reinstalling Eset in an attempt to fix the problem, the problem is still the same, but also the message above is gone. I contacted Eset, but they could fix it eather. They say the problem has to do with Firefox and they would come back to it, but until today it is still not solved. So therefore I trying to get help from Firefox, hoping I don't have to switch to another browser. Can you help me?

Since Firefox retired Persona and went to partial themes, I can't get a theme to stick.
When I open Firefox it displays the (really ugly) default blue and red theme. I go to Tools/Add-ons/Themes and enable one of several themes I've downloaded. All good. I close Firefox. The next time I start it, it flashes the theme that should be there, then overwrites it with the default blue and red theme (the really ugly one).

Right now, my option is set to "always use private browsing mode." This causes other problems with different extensions I'd like to use, so I'd like to turn always private browsing off.
When I uncheck "always use private browsing mode", Firefox must restart to apply the setting, but after Forefox restarts, it is still checked. I've tried multiple times. I've tried disabling my firewall and antivirus in case they were interfering somehow, but nothing works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I attempt to highlight text in the search bar and address bar the text is not being highlighted. I know I am selecting the text because when I attempt to replace it with new characters the old text that is supposed to be highlighted is gone and replaced with the new ones. However, I cannot see what I highlight since the the typically blue highlight is not appearing. Even when I use keyboard shortcuts such as command + A to select all the text is not highlighted.
In some websites, Firefox downloads "downloads.php" rather than the actual file.

I cleared the cache, same result. The only AV I have is the default Win-10 defender. I have also tried this from Chrome and Edge and they open just fine. I do have the latest Firefox - 62.0.3. This is quite frustrating and has been happening for quite some time (several months at least) - I was hoping this would simply go away with future updates. Thanks, Graeme

Ever since I upgraded to macOS 10.14 (Mojave), Firefox v.62.0.3 (64 bit) will not load web pages when my Internet connection is routed through a VPN, not even web sites that are very popular, such as apple.com. I have tried other browsers, namely Safari and Opera, and these have loaded the pages Firefox wouldn't without problem. I thought the problem may be privacy add-ons that I had installed on Firefox, but even disabling all three of these add-ons did not correct the problem. Loading seems to hang when either looking up the address or, if it gets that far, at the TLS handshake, if that helps anyone suggest a solution.

I have always touted FF as the best browser, but today I am incredibly sad to lose all of those because FF wouldn't stop crashing. It seems one needs more technical expertise than should be required.
