Both sides of the screen have panels with the same info (Window List, Bluetooth, Networks, Instant messaging, Vaults, Clipboard Contents, Volume, show hidden icons, and clock). I tried to delete these panels but could not. The top has a panel with the "application Menu Bar" which I need to save. I am using Kubuntu 18.04 , Firefox 60.0.1, Thunderbird 52.8.0. in 64 bit. Please help. This panel and info should just be at the bottom of the screen.

First of all, I'm using Mac. And so, if my firefox is not responding or still lagging, I always force quit it right away. However last night it didn't work like that. My firefox was usually fine after I forced quit it and started it again, but yesterday it crashed from when it was starting.
I'm flustered and try to open it a few more times, but the result was still the same, crash and crash again. Firefox tried to give me options by using the safe mode. I thought it could work if I went with the safe mode, but unfortunately even in safe mode, my firefox still crashed.
And just like that I also don't have a choice to access the troubleshooting menu in firefox because it crashed before I could go there. That's why I'm here to request help.
This is the report ID I just submitted a few minutes before posting this. bp-7dbf5090-1315-48b5-af5f-fe7d20180523
If you need details of the report just ask me. I've already copied that from the crash reporter. Thank you!

I'm brand new to Firefox, having used Chrome for ages--but I was very excited about the multitab containers feature and LOVE IT!
However, I have run into a bit of an issue with forms on a site I absolutely need to be able to use as it's with my website hosting.
I have attached two pictures, one of what the form looks like on Chrome and one of what it is like on Firefox.
I went through the forums here checking multiple ideas where others had similar problems like making a new profile, checking privacy settings, etc. but do not seem to have found a solution.
Any help would be most appreciated!
Thank you! Susie

Since some days I had the problem that my entire Firefox browser (not only an individual tab) was freezing for some seconds every few minutes. I now figured out that this was related to Firefox sync, which started to fail a few days ago and was triggered every few minutes.
The sync logs show errors similar to these:
1526892770098 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks DEBUG First sync, uploading all items 1526892770330 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks INFO 15808 outgoing items pre-reconciliation 1526892770330 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks DEBUG Bookmarks backup starting. 1526892774686 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks DEBUG Bookmarks backup done. 1526892774687 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks INFO Records: 0 applied, 0 successfully, 0 failed to apply, 0 newly failed to apply, 0 reconciled. 1526892779953 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks WARN Failed to enqueue record "pLxS5go7mqjb" (aborting): Error: Single record too large to submit to server (resource://services-sync/record.js:991:40) JS Stack trace: enqueue@record.js:991:40 _uploadOutgoing@engines.js:1666:43 1526892780067 Sync.Engine.Bookmarks.BookmarkSyncUtils DEBUG pushChanges: Processed change records: {"weak":0,"skipped":15808,"updated":0} 1526892780068 Sync.Status DEBUG Status for engine bookmarks: error.engine.reason.unknown_fail 1526892780068 Sync.Status DEBUG Status.service: success.status_ok => error.sync.failed_partial 1526892780068 Sync.ErrorHandler DEBUG bookmarks failed: Error: Single record too large to submit to server (resource://services-sync/record.js:991:40) JS Stack trace: enqueue@record.js:991:40 _uploadOutgoing@engines.js:1666:43 1526892780069 Sync.Engine.Addons DEBUG Refreshing reconciler state
I then tried to create a new Firefox profile and to start sync all over again, which was also not working. I am operating a Mozilla Sync Server on one of my own private servers and in the server logs, I noticed that sync tried to fetch one million new bookmarks from the server until I cancelled the process after some hours.
After noticing that I had a look into my bookmarks. There I figured out that my bookmarks were completely screwed up. They were doubled and tripled in the "Other Bookmarks" folder and --- strangely --- they were somehow linked. So deleting a particular bookmark in the "Other Bookmarks" folder deleted it also in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder, for example. I decided to completely delete all bookmarks and restore them from a backup. Now, at least in the bookmark manager, everything seems fine.
I also deleted my Firefox sync account and registered again to delete all data on the server side and to start with a fresh sync. However, the sync is now still failing with errors similar to the one above.
Any help is appreciated.

The main reason I still use Chrome is to keep my laptop fan from turning on when I watch YouTube videos. This then leads me to use Chrome for other reasons as well. I would prefer to use Firefox, but I don't like it when my fan turns on. My Firefox is up to date according to me preferences page.
I have tried unchecking "Use hardware acceleration when possible" and restarting Firefox, but the fan still comes on.
What's the solution?

Some specific websites or parts of website make the tab crash in Firefox 61.0.1 on Ubuntu 16.04. I found that maps.google.ca and tvanouvelles.ca systematically make their tab crash before they are even displayed. facebook.com is fine as long as I don't use the chat. As soon as I open a chat tab or I go in full screen messenger, the tab crashes. messenger.com crashes after I log in.
In safe mode, everything works fine. However, when I disable every add-on in normal mode, the sites specified above still make their tabs crash. Is there any custom setting that could make them crash? Or is it that an add-on still has an effect on the browser even when it is disabled? Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone,
During the last few month I noticed a bug happening when I am playing sound on Firefox (like a YouTube video). This bug appears especially when I pause or go forward or backward on a video. The sound suddenly has bad quality and constant cracklings, and I can't understand the video anymore. At the beginning I thought it was a YouTube issue, but this problem happened on other websites too. It's not an issue caused by my laptop or my loudspeakers because I don't have any issue when I play music directly on my computer.
To solve the problem, I have either to close Firefox completely (close only the problematic tab doesn't solve anything) or to open a new Firefox window and slip it in the old one (I am sorry if my explanation isn't clear but I can't upload screenshots...).
Thanks for reading Hopping you will be able to help me

Since FF updated to 60.0.1 (64bit) on linux Mint, the date formatting on some sites has changed from English US (mm/dd/yy) to English Europe (dd/mm/yy). The FF language preference is set to (1) English [en] and (2) English/united States [en-us] (I tried it with the order reversed as well). Going to the same sites on the same machine with Chrome displays US date format. Any ideas?

Whenever a mistake is made in typing a url, http://searchguide.windstream.net automatically appears to try and search an alternate result, but instead fills the URL box with pages of jibberish that takes minutes to remove or delete, and then apparently times out and flags its own unsolicited efforts:
414 Request-URI Too Large
Simply X-ing out the tab and starting over is an option, but still a nuisance.
Blocking this particular web site, http://searchguide.windstream.net, would probably resolve the issue without blocking other services provided by Windstream.
Here is an example: If "democracynow.com" is entered instead of "democracynow.org" a huge amount of garbage is thrown into the url window by this unsolicited "searchguide" website and the following error message is presented by this unauthorized search effort: "414 Request-URI Too Large"
Other websites redirect appropriately, like "http://www.vitaletherapeutics.com" redirects without to "http://www.vitaletherapeutics.org" without automatically invoking http://searchguide.windstream.net and without creating the error message: "414 Request-URI Too Large"
If this is a form of web censorship and denial of access, I want to know more about it and help other web sites to take action to help ensure 1st Amendment inspired net neutrality, and to curb censorship.

Backing up to a json or html file will save all my bookmarks except for the mobile ones I sync between my laptop and my phone. The jsonlz4 file in my profile folder also does not save mobile bookmarks. Sync by itself is usually enough to preserve all my bookmarks, but I made the mistake of installing FF ESR alongside regular FF which screwed everything up; it would have been nice to have had my complete bookmarks backed up at that point, so I could have restored all of them.
Btw, my laptop browser is spoofed: I'm using FF 60.0.1 on Linux Mint; I'm syncing my laptop with my android phone (FF 60.0.1 also).
