I use Facebook every day via this PC (Windows 10 & Firefox). . but as of yesterday the site started appearing as shown in the attached clip of a small section of the screen. I guess what's happening is the encrypted page is not being decrypted. .but why and how do I get it working again ? btw, I have no problem viewing the same web site (Facebook) on my Android device (Facebook app) and on my Windows 7 laptop, also via Firefox.

Firefox is v46.0.1

I had this problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1118780

I figured out the problem to this.

When I uncheck the 'Use hardware acceleration when available' box, I no longer see the little rectangles. However, this causes a new problem.

When I have this box checked, my screen goes white. I have to move my mouse all around and scroll on the page, to get it back to normal.

This happens when I leave Firefox and go to a new window with another program. I leave Firefox and go to the other window and when I come back, everything is all white. As I move my mouse around, I get little black squares until I scroll the page.

I have already checked and all my drivers are up to date. Firefox is updated. My computer is only a couple months old. Running Windows 10 that came with the computer.

Any idea how to stop this?

I have a choice of white screen or little rectangles. I am about ready to dump Firefox because this is getting ridiculous. I shouldn't have to choice one error over the other.

I have a problem where my tabs sometimes abruptly, seemingly randomly, close. I couldn't find anything about this specific problem. I don't know if it's the computer thinking I'm moving the mouse in a way that simulates a touchscreen command to close the tab, but in any event I don't have a touchscreen and don't want my tabs closing without my specifically clicking on the X to close them. Does anyone know what could cause this and what I can do about it?

Firefox 46.0.1 is very slow loading pages. YouTube videos also take a while to load then keep buffering. Twitter won't log-in until I click log-in button a number of times. Some web sites seem OK but most struggle. I have Refreshed Firefox and also started in Safe Mode. My internet is fast. I have updated graphics driver. I considered going back to Firefox 45 and decided to download it. Firefox told me it would take 3 hours and I let it download for half hour. Then I downloaded it in Internet Explorer and it took one minute. My OS is Windows 10 64-bit. This slowness seems common judging by community posts. If this can't be fixed I will have to go through the hassle of installing version 45.

The error message is as follows: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue."

It doesn't matter how you respond, the only way to clear the lock up is using the Task Manager to end Firefox.

I have cleared the Firefox cache and cookies, but the problem still happens.

Ever since I updated to FF 46.0.1 I've been having a problem with this one particular web site wtop.com. It's constantly crashing FF. I've done the following trouble shooting so far: I did a FF refresh with no effect. I started FF is safe mode and it seemed to work better. So, I then disabled the few extensions, I had, one by one with no effect- the crashing continued. So, if it was one of the extensions I was unable to identify which one. I'm not having this problem with my other browsers, IE and Chrome, or any other web sites. Crash reports have been sent. At this point I'm stumped as what I should do. I've listed below a few of the most recent crash reports. I look forward to anyone's comments. Thanks
