The Electronic system at USPTO has a new security system and Firefox won't allow me to complete my connection to USPTO for some reason. USPTO told me to use a different browser and maybe that might work, so they are not any help at all. It seems to me Firefox should be able to make the connection. Am I correct in this assumption? thanks, jim

I get "This site is untrusted" Verifying and adding an exception takes about one minute. For Every Page Load! This make firefox on ultra-high-speed broadband now SLOWER than an apple ][e from 1980 on a 300 baud modem!

Solution? Delete firefox. There doesn't seem to be another one.

This is a problem with firefox on windows vista.

I first clicked on this link to opt-out of their adverts, but since then, for several weeks now, every time I open Firefox on my chosen Home Page, it also opens a tab for this site. I have written to them several times but get nothing but a boiler-plate answer telling me how to opt out of their adverts. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded BlackBelt Privacy for using Tor with Firefox. All of my bookmarks and toolbars disappeared after that. I read this page that says that my bookmarks are in the places.sqlite file: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data#w_what-information-is-stored-in-my-profile I found 2 places.sqlite files and saved the largest one in hopes that it might have my bookmarks. When I try to use the Restore Bookmarks feature in the Library window of Firefox, it won't accept that sqlite file because it insists on having a JSON file. I've restored Firefox to default settings but still don't have my old bookmarks and toolbars back. How can I get my old bookmarks and maybe my toolbars back if that's possible?

I had the misfortune to buy a laptop running Windows 10 in Greece (it was an emergency). When I downloaded Firefox, it turned out to be in Greek, and nothing seems able to change that

I have downloaded Firefox Setup 46.0 (British English) three times so far, and run it. My version stubbornly remains Greek. I have also downloaded and run the British English language pack, only to be told, when I next loaded Firefox, that it was incompatible with the current (presumably latest) version of Firefox ans was therefore being deleted.

Can anybody suggest anything sensible, before I erase this program and revert to a Microsoft product?

Adobe's help site flashes every few seconds, and has triggered another of my migraines. Obviously I can't report the problem on that site. I don't know whether it was hacked by greifers or designed that way.

Hey guys. For few weeks and maybe months I used firefox 37, every time I entered to "about firefox" it told me that firefox is up to date. few weeks ago I checked in mozila site and it showed me that there is firefox version 45! So I downloaded and installed it manually. And now this problem happens again: http://prntscr.com/b4febw It says that firefox is up to date(version 45) but in mozila site I see that there is a new version(46). another problem is the history, every time I'm trying to remove just some of the history(I want to remove all the folder "older than 6 months" which is pretty big folder) firefox doesn't respond and just stuck till I close it... what should I do? BTW I want to remove this folder because when I write something in the URL like "youtu" it takes pretty long time till firefox shows me suggestions, I guess that's because my history is huge...

Thanks.

Often when im surfing on the net via Firefox. i get a blue box that can hang for a long time even if i change page. It seems to be connected with HTML5 Content. So a moment ago i saw it on youtube a box almost overlaying ontop of the video and if i scrolled down the box followed down.

Also time to time see it on imgur.com when there is a gif made from html5 video a small box will last for 10-50 pictures.

The work around i have in place is to resize firefox and maximize it again.

I've had this issue before and I believe I solved it by restarting my computer last time. That will likely fix it again, but that should be necessary.

Anyway, so as I stated I can no longer use the mouse to drag the Firefox window around the screen, nor can I double click the top of the window to maximize or unmaximize it. The buttons in the right corner still work.

Firefox briefly lets me move the window around when it first starts, but after a few seconds it will go back to not letting me move it around.

I have already tried all solution I could find, such as safe mode, no addons, enabling the menu bar, etc.

I can download images using literally any browser except Firefox. When I try to on Firefox, the image becomes corrupt, and I can't open it on my computer. Attempting to open it with Paint, for example, tells me that the image is not a valid Bitmap file. Again, this problem only occurs with Firefox. Every other browser works fine. I'd prefer not to have to switch browsers, though. Can anyone tell me why this problem is occurring? It happens both with old versions of Firefox and with the latest version.

If I was a windows user, I could simply Uninstall, download version I want, and install that. It works.

On Linux, if you download a non-current version it is installed in a different location and causes some problems as there are two or possible more different versions on your computer and your system could be access either or both

If you try to software manager, or apt-get, etc all you are offered is the latest version, and only the latest version. Why is this? I want to purge firefox and install v45! (02-June-2016) I cannot find and instructions that do this in what I would refer to as the automatic system (apt-get) install, only in a seperate manually installed section (/opt/firefox).

Why can't we have a choice of correctly system-ly install the version that either we like or works for use, without all the new bugs and garbage added or changed that is annoying (and not to mention NOT listed in the change log) V46 has changed the general look and I hate it, and cant change it back no matter what I try, including themes. It has also changed the way to print things, Just for starters. This was enough for me to revert back to the old version but It now causes problems like when I click to open a new window I get 2 windows, and one of which doesn't actually open.
