We have an issue internally using Firefox against an IIS server that is using Kernel Mode Authentication. When using IE kerberos authentication is properly used. However when we use FireFox the browser keeps falling back to NTLM authentication.
We have talked to Microsoft and because this works in IE they believe it is a FireFox issue. We would like some help to determine why FireFox can't seems to use Kerberos with our server that is running Kernel Mode Authentication. We are not sure if Kernel Mode is what is causing issues but it seems to be the one difference between this service and others that properly use Kerberos in FireFox.
Can you provide some support to help us figure out why FireFox is falling back to NTLM? We are unable to determine why this is happening in the browser.
Strange results using Windows 7 System Restore on Firefox - Program vs Add-Ons

I've been using FF 42 since it was released. A couple days ago I ran this month's Windows 7 monthly security updates, and after that updated 5 FF add-ons. Everything seemed fine. Then I got into FF today and what I saw was strange. My layout (I use Classic Theme Restorer, BTW) had changed. Search bar smaller, bookmarks toolbar now blank, etc., none of which, while odd, is too troubling in itself. However, the Windows 7 taskbar no longer showed up at the bottom of the page, even though I don't have it hidden (and it still showed up fine for all other programs/screens).
Even stranger, and perhaps most troubling, is that neither the FF application NOR any FF process showed up in task manager as it normally does when FF is running. The only way to close FF was by shutting off my computer. I was expecting this to be one of those "just rebooting the computer fixes everything" situations, but after rebooting everything was the same.
So next I tried going back to FF 41, but that didn't change anything.
So -- *without* first reverting back from FF 41 to FF 42 -- I did a system restore back to just before the Windows Updates. As I expected, the restore undid the Windows Updates and also reverted FF back from 41 to 42. And everything seemed back to normal in FF, including the FF application and process once again showing up in task manager. However I was surprised to find that the add-ons had *not* reverted back to their pre-updated state. They all showed as "up to date" when checked.
So all seems OK for the moment, but much of this makes me a little uncomfortable. (BTW, neither Malwarebytes, including rootkit scan, nor my AV report any problems.) A couple questions:
(1) Is it normal that SYSTEM RESTORE will *not* undo add-on updates made after the restore point, even though it *does* undo a change in the FF program version ?
(2) If the answer to (1) is "that's normal behavior," than how do I undo an add-on update which may have caused problems? I suppose I could just find and overlay the old version of the add-on in some cases, but what if I don't know what the old version number was (and it's likely that I *wouldn't* usually know , especially if I hadn't UPDATED add-ons in awhile)?
(3) Even though things seem OK again, does anyone have any idea what might have caused the sudden odd changes in FF I described at the beginning, including its becoming a hidden process in Task manager?
EDIT: CAPS above represent corrections, particularly in question (1) where I had typed "Windows Update" when I meant "System Restore."

I have a computer with Windows 10. For about two to three months from now, every so often, my computer/windows crashes when I open or save a PDF file on Firefox, which is extremely upsetting. I just found out some days ago that Firefox doesn't use anymore the adobe reader plugin, but uses instead its own built-in PDF viewer. When I changed the setting to use the external adobe reader software to open and/or download pdf files, it seems that my computer doesn't crashes anymore. So my questions are: why the bult-in PDF viewer makes windows 10 crash? Will that problem be fixed, and when? and lastly, why does Firefox forces to use its own built-in PDF viewer when it can't function correctly with windows 10? This have been the more upsetting problem I have had with my computer for a long time!

The only way to get rid of the damn thing is to restart the system, ... this helps till the next time, usually about an hour later. It is more of an adv. that is annoying, and until you fill in your details incl. email and tel. you can not do anything. she refuses to give her tel no for fear of fraud. The only option I have is to restart the system. PLS HELP !!

None............and I do mean NONE of the posted solutions posted permanently resolve the problem. They will temporarily, but inevitably Yahoo rears it's ugly head again. Comically Mozilla has admitted awareness of the problem stating "it was a glitch in version 35, but it has been corrected and updating to version 36 will take care of it". So what are we on now..............version 42 and it's still ongoing. The I.T. department at the corporation I work for finally got so fed up with calls about this that we are no longer permitted to use the Firefox browser on corporate owned PC's. Unless Yahoo has a malicious hacker in their ranks or there is a "cyber browser conspiracy" between Yahoo and Mozilla I find it incredibly difficult to believe they can't resolve this!?!?!?

Firefox has crashed 17 times since September , it does this in the middle of browsing for no reason , it just closes with the "Firefox has crashed" box popping up , since October it seems to be crashing more frequently , it has already crashed 5 times this month , since we are only on the 6th day , this is getting old fast , its obvious the latest update did not fix the issue , if anything , it made it worse , i have changed nothing else on my PC , and have not added anything in months , so i am thinking its something within Firefox itself , i do not have Add-Ons , or anything , so its not that , i am about ready to change it from my "Default" browser , i am usually browsing forums when it does this (several different forums that i always frequent , as well as Craigslist , so i do not think its the site themselves causing this either) , and even though it opens back up after i click to restart Firefox in the crash box , its still annoying and especially since its done it pretty much every day this month so far , so its getting worse , this needs to be looked into , as i even went as far as to start using Internet Explorer to browse , so its getting serious .....
Here is the last crash report which happened just prior to posting this

About a week ago I've been unable to load 3 particular websites. They are as follows:
webchat.ppirc.net www.shrinemaiden.org waifu2x.udp.jp
I've used them all without trouble for months until about a week ago when they suddenly wouldn't load. Leaving them to load yields nothing, not even error messages. I've tried removing the related cookies, certificates, history, and all cache files to no avail. I've even flushed the DNS cache several times with no results.
Looking at the internet traffic via command prompt's netstat or TCPView shows not even an attempt at contacting any of these webpages. I've checked my anti virus (Avast) for blocks and even added them to exceptions. No dice. And as far as I know, the router's firewall has gone unchanged as well.
I can access waifu2x.udp.jp with IE, however the site isn't designed to work with IE so it's a hollow victory. As for the other two, they refuse to load as well, with the same results as Firefox. All three of them load on my smartphone, and other people running the same version of FIrefox have no issues.
I don't recall having made any major changes to my browser or operating system and I've done a malware scan with MalwareBytes recently which came up clean. I have not tried refreshing Firefox but given what it does and how I've done most of it manually already, I don't think it will help much. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

There is no common thing that seems to be causing the crashes. It just seeming can happen at any point which is very frustrating. Add-ons I have include addblock edge, addblock plus, lastpass and 'wikitionary and google translate'.
I'd appreciate any help as I'd rather not have to make the switch to chrome.

I have created a couple of small pages that i have embedded into another web site. The embedded pages wont display on that site in FireFox but works on Chrome with no problem. How can I fix this so others on FireFox can view these embedded pages? I didn't know it couldn't be displayed until tonight and I have been looking for a fix since I was told. Some may see a solid white box and others see a grey box with a plugin is needed to view this content. However, if I view the pages I created on the server they work fine in FireFox. Just not when embedded into another web site. I'm stumped...

My touchpad scroll will not work in Firefox. It works fine with IE and all other apps (Windows 10).
If it were a driver issue - I think it would not work in all the other applications, but it works fine everywhere (except Firefox)
I can get it to work for a short time, if I uninstall the Touchpad (in the device manager) , re-start, re-installs.
Again, hard to believe it would be a driver issue - works fine in all apps, except Firefox...

Hello, I have a problem with certificate of this web page : http://www.sps-jia.cz/moodle/ When I tried to log in, it said that "connection is untrusted", but that is normal and i know it is secure. However, I'm incredibly dumb and accidentally have clicked on the button that added it as an untrusted connection. So immediately, I've started searching trough the Firefox setting, but I've discovered nothing that could help me. So I googled my problem, and most of the said that renaming/moving the cert8.db fire from the profile folder would help, but it didn't. The weirdest thing is that I can't access the website on other browsers (IE/Edge). I thing that it's somewhere in Windows. Plx halp Thanks

Is there a way to send a request or verification ticket to either the company's website or Mozilla for SSL certification? Like, sending a link to DigiCert Inc. or Google Inc. Authority? I want to be sure that my connection to the website is private and secure. Furthermore, if the web page does not provide an SSL certification or verified website approval, would the passwords that I saved through Mozilla Firefox password manager be compromised or will they be secure even visiting a website that has no SSL certificate or verification? Please answer these two questions as soon as possible. Thank you.

I've read and tried MANY supposed fixes for this problem, but, so far none have worked. Constantly says FF is already running, but not responding. I have to kill it in Task Mgr. everytime.
After FF opens, the little circle on the tab rotates and says "Connecting". That's all I can get out of it.
Uninstalled and installed numerous times to no avail. IE 11 works great (can't believe I just said that--lol).
Have tried "No proxy" and "Use system settngs"--still a no go.
Created new User Profle--still a no go.
Open Add-ons mgr.--just says "Loading" until I clck Extensions, then "You don't have any add-ons of this type installed"
Click Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. automatically installed by Mozilla...)--Always Activate Primetime Content Decryption provided by Adobe Systems, Inc.--Always Activate Windows Activation Technologies--Ask to Activate
I haven't installed any plugins--these were already there.
Please help. I used to install FF and then off to the races I'd go, but not this time.
