I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I go to the library in Firefox and click "Import data from another browser" It shows Internet Explorer. I follow the steps given and then click finish. The message showing the import is complete comes up. However, the folder never appears in my library. Also, when I attempt to bookmark a page, the bookmark never takes.

I have updated my Firefox to the latest stable release 57 in a windows machine. I would like to know if TLS 1.2 is already enabled in my browser or do i need to make any changes in the default setup in order to make it active.

When i check "security.tls.version.min" it's shown "Value 1". Is that the right value to TLS 1.2 ?

While exploring the options of the browser had installed unintentionally a new tab called 'Renew it Now New Tab'. It is not at all useful for me and so I wish to uninstall it. Please tell me how to do it.

Someone has been accessing my computer using roku and private user firefox. How can I delete them or find out who they are. I don't use foxfire and I don't have roku.

The first one is the "real" one, using it with the same username here in the forum as well (elzach). The other one is just the email address I registered less than a year ago on the browser settings itself.

All my activity and add on reviews are under the first one. Problem is, I can't log in, it seems Firefox is permitting only the second account, registered as "accounts", which it uses for sync purposes. This is a very recent development it seems.

Any thoughts?

Hi AllI in the past I had when ever I opened FF 4 collums and 3 rows of tiles. Now when ever I open FF, have only 2 rows of tiles. If I zoom out I get first five collums and eventually 3 rows of tiles. By that time the tiles are so small I can't see what they for anymore. When I try to download a Add-on that seems to be able, to do exactly what I want,(had it with my previous version) it says I can't download the add-on as FF 38.0 (my current version ) has the feature build in. My FF does not have it!! It also does not have advanced option in the bottom left corner. It also does not matter if I use classic or inhanced view. PLEASE POINT ME TO A ADD-ON as FF changed for me to the worse, OR tell me which version of FF I can still have my tile lay out customized and do not need to take what some programmer seems nice Any and every help welcome

one-click search engine is stuck on "search for firefox search engine" all the time, every time i changed it and it wont stay as google, it will revert back

i want it to be like it was before, google as my main search engine

now its always stuck on "search for firefox search engine" which is yahoo search engine which is really rubbish

Is there any solution to "don't load tabs until selected"? No tab should ever load in the background (until that tab is selected). BarTab worked for previous versions, but does not in 38 or 45 or 49. What is the solution?

I think I found very easy and working solution for the issue of Firefox window being in mode Always on Top. Go to about:config and write there a string "ontop". In my case what appeared as a result is this setting.

Switch it to value "false". It does not look like standard setting ony any built-in feature of Firefox, so this could be from some add-ons. Let's check add-ones, which are included and active in your FF. I found this (I didn't install it, but maybe it was installed by an admin).

So turn it off, restart FF, and luckily work with it without being annoyed.

I had the combination Greasemonkey and script Social Fixer v15 (SFX) installed and working great in Comodo IceDragon. But an update to CID destroyed everything--installed a default profile. Other one gone. My online backup still backs up Firefox, not CID (yeah, my bad...and I am a backup nut).

So, back using Firefox. But when I install GM and SFX script (multiple times), there is no evidence at all that it is running. None of the effects that it does are in effect and a control button it puts on the screen does not appear.

How do I troubleshoot this? And why did it work so well in CID but not here?

How to change default class name of the Firefox Window Class from "MozillaWindowClass" to other for example "DMoz"? Which option of about:cofig? Possibility of changing it shall prevent part of attacks for example closing all Firefox windows.

This option was present in older versions but this setting was hidden or removed. It was used by me but I can't remember its name.

On our website anwr.de firefox does not open the links in the mainmenu. Unternehmen, Mitglieder... Kontakt works. If I use "open in new tab" while klicking these links it's also working. Other browsers and a firefox on a different pc are working as well. Has someone an idea?

Somewhere along the way, I suppose I removed the "stacked bars" open menu button from the toolbar. I'd like to put it back, but when I open the Customize panel, there is only one available in there, labeled "Firefox." When I put that one onto the toolbar and click it, it does nothing--does not open the menu.

What are the steps to get the true menu button back onto the toolbar?

states that the Java plugin will cease to be supported in *all* versions of Firefox after Jan 2017. It seems unlikely that this will apply to pre-existing ESRs but our users are worried they won't be able to use Oracle EBS (which depends on the Java plugin) as from 2017. We need some statement to reassure them that they will continue to be able to use Firefox 38 or 45 past that date while we look at alternative options.
