In Internet Explorer you can tell it not to store information on forms when you're on a secure webpage, so your credit card number is never saved for example - can I do this in FireFox?

It would be great if I could just tell it never to save forms when the page is a secure page, that way I know it'll never be saving my credit card number for example. Can this be done?

I am using my web hosting service with Firefox 3.6.13 and I keep getting automatically logged out of the web hosting service. I contacted tech support for the web hosting service and they said it was a problem with the browser - cookies/settings/etc - I couldn't find any solution. I need to be able to set Firefox so I can stay logged into my web hosting indefinitely. Thank You.

I have Firefox 3.6.13. I have a new website (blog) with an address that begins with http:// and no www. Firefox insists on adding www to the address and of course I get back a message saying server not found.

I have no trouble at all accessing the site with IE. A major publicity push begins in mid-January and at this moment millions of Firefox users will be unable to reach our site.

mynortonaccount.com web page began coming up whenever I would go on line. Norton email support gave me steps to follow using my Firefox browser, in the safe mode, to disable all add-ons and reset user preferences to Firefox defaults. Since then, although trying about 15 times, I have been unable to reinstall Adobe Acrobat 10.0.0.396 so that it functions. From the "Re-initializing the plugins database" article, and progressing to the "Open Containing Folder," but unable to select File and Exit menu, I did locate "Adobe Acrobat" version 10.0.0.396 which showed all seven applications "enabled." This problem is with Firefox only. Internet Explorer functions normally.

I like to access web sites by clicking URL shortcuts on my Windows Desktop screen or Taskbar. When Internet Explorer is the default browser, these shortcuts display "favicons" that are specific to the web site and provide instantaneous visual recognition of the site. When Firefox is the default, the Firefox icon appears. I, therefore, have numerous look-alike Firefox icons on the screen and Taskbar.

Why doesn't Firefox allow these "favicons" to appear?

after the last firefox update if I use google a few times firefox doesnt close properly & wont restart unless I either reboot the machine or go into taskmanager & close it down there. It then re-opens correctly but with the last google pages displayed (even if they've been closed down before I attempted to close firefox) I'm not the only person with this problem I know of at least one other.
