I find a website I like, I add to bookmarks, chose a location, add some tags and save.

Next I look for bookmark to verify it saved and it is not in folder it was saved into.

I open Bookmarks and search for this newly created bookmark and it is not in the correct location, it is in another folder, or past the folder in a tree that is not seen under the drop-down up under address bar, only through searching via Bookmarks. After I searched and I had found it, I chose open in folder, saw its position and dragged it to the folder and position I wanted it to be, then close the search, use the drop down folders in bookmark bar and not there. ??

Go back to Bookmark search, find it and it is shown to be where I last dragged it, but it is not there unless I search for it.

So not sure what is going on with bookmarks, but after saving they are not saved where I directed them to save and I am losing my bookmarks to some void in my bookmark manager.

I waited for a long time to do an upgrade to avoid problems. Today finally I decided to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox for my iMac, 147.0.1. Before the upgrade I successfully used with zero issues gemini.google.com/app . Now the website comes up, but regardless what I enter as a question I only get an error message stating "something went wrong". The same website works with no issues (TG) with Safari.

Does anyone else experience the same? Is this a known bug with this version of Firefox? Is there a work around for it? Is the solution just using Safari?

Firefox has been my browser of choice for well over 20 years. I have a game I play every day (from FaceBook) just this week when I try to go to it on my laptop - it says your browser does not support WebGL. it has always opened using Firefox - this is a new error message. and the computer is only 5 months old and has Windows 11 on it. I do not want to switch to Google or Edge.

Like I said - opening the app worked every day up until about a week ago. What gives?

Hello, I do not know if others have this problem, but when I try to access an Microsoft email account, using Firefox, it loads and then immediately logs me out. When I use a Firefox Private Window, this not occur. What might be causing this?

Windows Defender is blocking Yandex.Ru, which is not even been tried to be access from. It showed in the Event Viewer that firefox.exe tried to reach Yandex.ru. Why is Firefox trying to reach there? There are no extensions apart from Firefox Multi-Account Containers installed.

Please advice.

So I have two Google accounts, let's call them Antelope and Bear. Antelope is my "main" account, but I use Bear for a lot of things too, which includes Gemini. So, if I want to use the Gemini chatbot option on Firefox's sidebar, it would make the most sense to use it under my Bear account, since that way I can access my previous chats and all that. However, when I open the Gemini chatbot, it automatically logs me in as Antelope. And when I click on the account's profile picture to swap to Bear, it instead opens the Gemini site on a new tab, in which I am indeed logged in as Bear, but the sidebar remains stuck on the Antelope account. I've tried the "reload Gemini" option, restarting Firefox, and clearing the cache, but nothing works. I think I could fix it by logging out of both accounts, then logging in only as Bear, letting the sidebar "grab" that account, and then logging in as Antelope, but I wanted to know if there's an easier/cleaner way to go about it. I have been using 1Password 7 to manage my login credentials. It includes a Firefox extension to fill in account names and passwords in login alerts and pages.

Firefox 147.0.1 (macOS aarch64) in January 2026 has broken 1Password 7's ability to fill in account names and passwords.

To reproduce: 1. Install 1Password 7 Version 7.9.11 (70911000) and its extension version 4.7.5.90 in Firefox 147.0.1 on macOS. 2. Visit a URL for which 1Password 7 has login credentials. 3. Click on the toolbar icon for 1Password 7. A 1Password 7 dialogue box pops down from the icon, containing the username and password for that URL. 4. Click the Autofill button in that dialogue box.

Observed behaviour: 1. Username and Password fields remain blank.

Expected behaviour: 1. Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

For approximately the last three months, there was a partial failure similar to this. 1. 1Password 7 popdown dialogue moves from the toolbar icon to the Firefox tab for that URL. 2. Username and Password fields remain blank. 3. Workaround: click in the username field, then tab 2-4 times to further UI objects in the login credentials form. Then click the 1Password toolbar icon, then click the Autofill button in the popdown dialogue. Then, the Username and Password from 1Password 7 appear in the Username and Password fields.

The expected behaviour occurs for the same URLs in Safari.

Thus I suspect that Firefox has somehow changed its behaviour in the last few months to cause this regression. I have not changed the 1Password software versions in this time, because I am intentionally using a previous version of 1Password.

I am looking for a fix or workaround which works with my current 1Password software version. I am not interested in a solution which requires me to upgrade to the current version of 1Password. (The current version of 1Password imposes a feature which I am resisting.) I realise that this reduces the chance that I can persuade the Firefox team to find and correct this regression.

firefox is keeping me from accessing certain sites. why. do i need to switch to safari to access the sites. they do load on safari. can it be fixed or do i need to change?

Looking at my Firefox 147.0.1 settings for macOS 26.2 (Apple M1), I'm trying to adjust two settings:

-- I'd like to remove Languages -> English (GB) (its existence has odd side effects, like triggering United Airlines to offer fares in Pounds Sterling, and I'd prefer to just have English (US))

-- I'd like to disable Play Audio and Video for about:welcome (in regular and private windows)

I can see no way to accomplish this currently -- why?

I use an iMac (2019) and MacBook (2015) but my tabs aren't syncing between the two.

I've refreshed the syncing a few times but the MacBook is still showing two lots of tabs for the iMac, and both of them are showing pages that are no longer open.

I'd really like to be able to move between the two so if anyone has any suggestions on how to get FireFox to sync, I'd be really grateful. :-)

Hello community, I have many history items from forms that I want delete, I can delete formhistory.sqlite from Firefox profile in AppData, but after while all unwanted items are back downloaded from Firefox Account (cloud). Is it possible somehow delete those file in Firefox Account too?

Why are the minimize, maximize and restore buttons not visible?

Sometimes these buttons on the browser window appear, and sometimes all three buttons are not visible. Never had this problem until recent Firefox updates somehow affected this. I cannot tell which update was unaffected since, but this is an ongoing problem and the browser window is blank with no buttons on the top right hand corner. The only solution is to use the file menu and select exit from the list. I may have to open and close Firefox several times until the button icons are visible again. See example screenshots.

P.S. I'm using a 32" monitor if this helps.

I need to have a telecon from the provider meet.goto.com using Firefox on my PC running Linux Mint mint-001-1.0 147.0.1 (64 bit) but I get an error message browser not supported. What can I do? Thanks

Il faut pourvoir le retrouver pour le mettre à la bonne place !!! Je souhaiterais pouvoir enregistrer la page où je le souhaite et créer un nouvel onglet au besoin.

When I try to save a page to a tab, clicking the star icon creates the link, but it opens in some unknown tab! I have to find it to put it in the right place! I would like to be able to save the page wherever I want and create a new tab if needed.

Here is the current situation.

Firefox is consistently crashing in Windows 11, either a tab crash or the application itself. I'm not sure how to resolve it at this point. It was sufficiently bad that at first I assumed this was a problem with my Windows 11 installation, and did a complete reinstall of the OS followed by a fresh install of Firefox.

That did not resolve the problem. Firefox is still crashing.

I completely replaced the SSD assuming there was some kind of read/write problem between it and Firefox, did a clean install of Win11 and Firefox, and instead of porting my profile ported only my bookmarks and passwords into a new profile.

It's still happening. I don't know what to do at this point.

I use macbook and newest Firefox 147.0.1 and it thinks im in Washington DC not West Palm Beach. I get DC maps, DC weather and DC info for generic searches. I did use a vpn a few months ago, but its off and also its toggled off in Location Services. I tried 100 different suggestions made by google gemini but nothing works. Chrome shows the right location. I use wifi and an ISP search says West Palm Beach as well. Help! Dont make me swtich to Chrome.
