I reinstalled windows, installed firefox and signed in but my bookmarks (toolbar) have not sync'd, I have bookmarks toolbar set to always show, and my android phone has firefox installed and the bookmarks are there, they just will not sync to my pc, whats up?

When following the instruction to sync bookmarks on Android phone it leads me to items that are not there. Open Firefox mobile on phone. Ok. Hit the 3 dots drop down. Ok. Choose sync and save. Not there? I click my email and it shows sync. I click that and it shows the last time I sync my phone. 0 minutes. Ok. It shows a QR code to scan from the Firefox app. It instructs to click ready to scan. That's not there either. If instructions lead you down paths that are not present, the instructions are useless. Anyone else having this experience? Thanks..........

Why do searches default my home location to Northern Utah, when I live in Central Utah? How can I get Firefox to use my actual home location as my default location for queries.

McFee is trying to sell us computer protection. We have had Firefox for several years. I am now getting an alert to Turn On Firefox. How would it get turned off, and how do I turn it on without going through Mozilla's selling site?

Alternative search engines no longer appear when typing the stasrt of a search. Am able to set alternative search engine in settings but need to go back to settings if I want to use another one. This happened after a recent update - perhaps as much as a week ago.

Tried to go to Amazon (I have a Prime acct.) on my desktop. Mozilla asked for my PIN. I don't have my PIN. Mozilla said go to Settings and Accounts to add a new PIN. I went to Firefox/Mozilla settings and could not find Account in order to get a PIN. I tried searching in Settings on Account; nothing. I scrolled and clicked around and could not find what I needed.

I am old but far from tech illiterate. I've worked on computers since the mid-1980s. I've had this sort of layered problem with Firefox before. Firefox has been my preferred browser since the 1990s, I believe. I appreciate the concerns with privacy and safety in browsing. But I've run into this sort of problem a number of times. I need to know how to address the PIN issue. I'm happy to get a new PIN if I could only find a way in the browser's settings to do just that.

And, by the way, the password I had for Firefox/Mozilla would not work, though I have it written down, know my entry was correct, keep my passwords in a safe place. I had to open my account on Firefox/Mozilla with Google, which, of course, meant entering another password and doing verification via iPhone. And, of course, I ended up entering with Google and the entry was associated with my secondary email address. That, unfortunately, is not the email address my Firefox/Mozilla account is associated with. It is associated with my primary email address.

All of this takes way more of my time, the customer's time, than I intended when all I wanted to do was open Amazon and print a return label on a product I had ordered. The ridiculous process has left me pretty pissed off.

Frankly, I'd be happy to simply enter my Amazon password to complete the task I need to complete, but Firefox is in the way! Please make your security add-ons clearer and more easily worked with. And please let me know how I can get a new blasted PIN! Of course, I will evidently have to change my Firefox/Mozilla password, as well, since you will no longer accept my current password that, BTW, was made in the past 6 months.

Ugh! Just recognized that I have to wait for another user to volunteer some sort of advice on this. That just makes me madder. I excised my actual email addresses, primary and secondary, from this message because I initially didn't realize this just goes out to a generalized community to see if anyone has something to offer.

Getting closer to abandoning Firefox.

Firefox has been crashing several times an hour for multiple days. I have tried:

8 out of 10 times that i try to connect to the following site:

I get the following error message:

Now and then, I'm able to log in successfully. lately though, I'm having trouble logging in using Firefox browser.

This is becoming very frustrating. What could be the issue? What do i need to do to resolve the problem?

I'd like to use the TenTabs icon. Where is it?

And if you tell me it's on the "Customize Toolbar", I can tell you that, no, it is not.

Hi! I recently lost my old laptop and I'm trying to setup my new laptop without a backup. I was logged into my mozilla account on my old browser before I lost it, but I'm not seeing any of my old tabs, bookmarks, and extensions from my old browser syncing to my new browser. Is there anything I can do to retrieve this data without having access to my old laptop? Thank to anyone who can help!

There is no customization panel under settings/home. can you please tell me where can i find the customization panel? I want to reset the wallpaper to default.

After manually deleting a link from my bookmarks, that unneeded link is still suggested in the address bar after the fact.

This is while using the Windows version of Firefox 140. In the Search > Address Bar — Firefox Suggest section of settings, I only have the Bookmarks option enabled. I've tried disabling History > Remember search and form history and enabling History > Clear history when Firefox closes options as well but still have the problem.

I'd really appreciate any advice.

I am trying to set up a vpn using Proton as a Firefox add-in but Firefox won't let me use it, saying it has invalid credentials. I can't contact Proton because if I enable it as an add-in to Firefox, I can't use my browser. Do you know of any other vpn networks that work securely with Firefox?

literally what the [expletive] was the thought process in making it so that when u import all ur passwords from a csv it AUTOMATICALLY DELETES "DUPLICATES" WITHOUT CHECKING AT ALL WHICH ONE IS CORRECT. I HAVE SO MANY [expletive] PASSWORDS THAT ARE WRONG BECAUSE UR [expletive] BROWSER DOESNT ALLOW ME TO [expletive] MANUALLY CHANGE THAT STUPID OPTION. When I try to sign in to Yahoo I am sent to a Google sign in. I tried that and only got gmail and not my yahoo mail. I can sign in fine when I use Firefox private browsing and Edge. Why is Google involved with Yahoo mail?

I have a specific website that I have active in FireFox called myNoise.net. It allows me to generate background noise generators to cover-up the distracting noises from my neighbours when working at home on my desktop computer. The audio on the website worked the last time I opened Firefox ~2 July ... but today, when I opened the browser, the audio no longer works. I cannot get the website audio to load at all - I added the website to additional exception lists & shut down some content blocking extensions, but no joy. The website was already listed in multiple exception lists & I do not know or understand what change(s) occurred with the browser that would prevent this site from properly functioning - since it literally worked a week ago. I would appreciate any assistance and/or guidance with this issue, otherwise I will be eliminating Firefox as one of my browser options. I have provided a screenshot of the site that shows the perpetual "now loading" screen. Thank you.

Firefox occasionally stalls during a page load or refresh. A quit/start sequence of Firefox resolves the stall without further action. Is there a key sequence that invokes a restart: Firefox 140.0.2 (aarch64), MacOS 15.5 (24F74)

Hi. While clearing my browser history the other night some of my bookmarks also got deleted. I understand once browser history is deleted it cannot be recovered, but is there any way a deleted bookmark can be recovered?
