After my Windows 10 laptop being in sleep mode I found my background picture changed and all my Firefox tabs missing (while my bookmarks, add-ons, history etc. saved, and all other apps functioning properly). Recently Closed Windows menu was inactive and using Restore option in Library had no effect (despite availability of recent saves).

I found out that Mozilla folder was just missing in %appdata% (e.g. Profile Folder in about:support leaded to a non-existent directory). No manual changes to Firefox settings/data were made and no new profiles created.

What might be the problem and are there any ways to restore my tabs?

Hi there! My linux crashed and I only have an access to the terminal now. I'm trying to save login information and bookmarks that were saved in the browser. I didn't use an account. So I'm trying to find a location in the linux system where it was saved. I used 'find' command with key words 'mozilla' and 'firefox' to find possible locations but I'm not sure that I covered everything. Maybe someone here knows exactly where I should look. Thank you for you help and advance :)

I have 2 laptops, one for work and one personally. I was looking to set-up firefox on my personal laptop as well but noticed I cannot open developer console on a specific element by pressing 'q' anymore after right clicking.

This is a significant feature and I would like to keep using it. Is it possible to enable this feature on my personal computer as well? Since it is still enabled on my work device.

Every time I try to change the resolution of YouTube videos, it only provides 360p as an option, with a "Missing options?" message that redirects me to Google help page that just says my browser might be out of date (I'm on most recent Firefox and Windows 10 updates). The quality is still stuck in 360p when I reboot Firefox in Troubleshooting mode, and there are no quality issues when I use a browser like Edge. What should I be checking to resolve the issue?

I have two notebooks with Firefox (NB1 and NB2). NB2 rebooted and Firefox restarted losing all open tabs; now I would like to bring the tabs from NB1 to NB2; both have synchronisation enabled, but when I go to ‘Settings, synchronisation’ on NB2 it says ‘Synchronising in progress’ and nothing happens. I've also tried going to NB1 and sending a tab to NB2; I select NB2 and nothing happens.

This used to work fine. I don't want to mess with userChrome.css to get it to work. It should just work like it used to.

Up to 126.0b9, files with encoded URLs in their filenames downloaded normally. As of 127 onward, however, it gets changed to _3A instead of %3A, etc. Is there a setting somewhere in config to revert this?

Hello, I did everything mentioned in support articles, but the tabs on firefox are still crashing frequently, sometimes the first I open, sometimes it's the third... But it is making my work really difficult. I set up a custom search extension and am trying to use 'z' as the keyword.

It doesn't work. If I use anything else, it works fine, I just can't use 'z'.

Since I use 'z' in Chrome, I'd like to keep it consistent.

I don't see any other search engines using that keyword.

Is there something I'm missing here? Why can't I seem to use 'z' as a search engine keyword?

When i do update my configuration settings changing by itself. Example, "browser.cache.disk.enable" is "false" but after every updates its always changing to "true". This happens only after updates.

I have noticed that on certain websites which have site search boxes on their webpages (e.g. reddit, tvtropes), if I click in the box to type a search term, it will display about five suggestions which I have searched in the long-distant past in some context which I no longer recall. I generally would prefer suggestions not to show up in the first place, and I don't know why these specific terms are the specific ones which show up. Since this issue happens with site-specific search engines, rather than the search engine associated with the address bar, I'm unsure how to delete these suggestions. I normally browse in private windows, and on the rare occasion that I don't, I usually delete my history, and am unsure how the suggestions came to persist, and to persist only in the context I describe? If anyone can help, I'd be thankful.

On several site there's a greyed out box top right, which disables anything it covers, can't be got rid of, and makes using Firefox for these sites impossible. Help, please?? Thank you! (I'm having to use Chrome...)

I am using FF 129.0 64 bit on Linux Mint. AFAIK all is up to the latest version.

When I log into my website admin on wordpress, my site gets redirected for a security check on the server (lightspeed or PC Guard). Once this is complete, the login continues.

Unfortunately for the last 6 weeks, my website redirects with a message, "Verifying that you are not a robot" and it hangs there permanently.

I have tried to get my server to disconnest Lightspeed and PC Guard (but then have NO security protection). Nothing seemed to work, and access was sproradic, but seemed best when FF was completely cleaned, cache, cookies, etc. However, even this did not guarantee a login.

Then I found that all worked perfectly using Chrome. Further, having logged in using Chrome, the FF version would now be unlocked and work perfectly.

So it seems as though FF is not clearing a status/flag/file somewhere and that Chrome clears this, leaving FF working again - for another 24 hours. Then the whole cycle starts again.

Any ideas?

Whenever I type youtube.com into the search bar and hit enter, it says it crashed and i can't get in. Here are all my crash id's by the way

I want to turn off the hover preview feature. First I went in settings, but that disabled only the thumbnail (browser.tabs.hoverPreview.showThumbnails in about:config is set to false and saved). Then I went in about:config and manually set browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled to false as well, that disables the unwanted feature completely.

But every time I restart the browser it's turned back to true (just hover.Preview.enabled, not hover.Preview.showThumbnails). Can I save my settings? It's annoying that I can't opt out.

When I log in as admin to my wordpress website, firefox gets stuck in an endless reload loop.

Sometimes if I clear the browser history or open a private window, I can successfully log in and load a page - once. The page seems to load normally but there are 409 errors shown for many of the files in the developer tools.

If I reload the page again, it goes back to the endless loop.

This started when I installed a wordpress caching plugin, but the problem is specific to firefox, so I don't really know whether firefox or the plugin is actually responsible.

How could firefox be getting 409 errors when other browsers get normal 200 responses for the same resources?

Why is firefox triggering this reload loop, and is there a way I can stop it?
