Hi,

just for understanding:

Why can the Firefox source code (view-source) of a website be nearly three times the size compared with Chrome/Opera or when I save the Firefox source code marked and copied and then pasted and saved via an editor?

Example: Firefox 546,6 KiB Chrome/Opera 204,3 KiB via Editor 204,3 KiB (marked and copied Firefox source code)

My Firefox is very slow compared to other browsers I use. Chrome for example. It takes much longer to load a web page, especially my home page compared to Chrome. What could be causing the long wait time to load web pages? Can someone help? Thank you.

It is useless. I tried to restore 3953 items from a previous back up and received the message "Unable to process the backup file".

I am not interested in hearing how to prevent this problem in the future, because obviously creating backups do not work.

How do I check to see if the problem was caused by security software, even though I have not added anything?

Warun habe ich Version 115 und auf einem anderen PC und Laptop die Version 128. Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. So, whenever I open Firefox it will act normally and then after a second close by itself and when I reopen it, it will be in remote mode. I know how to fix this via about:config and do this every time, but I would much prefer a permanent fix, nothing else on Firefox or my computer indicates something else is going on, its just this. I've even at one point uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and it didn't help.

I want to get rid of that url bar that pops up on the left bottom of the screen when you hover over a bookmark, a link on a page, a video... anything that leads to another web address. It disappears when you hover over it and changes to the right bottom of the screen. It appears when i'm trying to watch videos on sites when i'm in full screen and refuses to go away. I've tried the chrome folder solution posted here and it doesn't work. I've tried many other solutions online and they don't work either.

A few of the things that were supposed to be labeled as they were in the solution were not available on my new version of FF but I found the correct folder to post the chrome folder in regardless. The box to open the profile folder was further down and labeled differently than in the instructions posted from a year or more ago here.

I'm using a fresh install of windows 11 and the latest version of Fire Fox 115.0.2 64bit

comcast xfinity website not accessible in Firefox, but is on every other browser - what happened? Can't pull anything up, email, TV listings, business Xfinity, etc. Just started this week.

Hey every time i go to Facebook it keeps going super slow and continues to display the prompt bar where it says this page is slowing your browser down. to speed up your browser stop this page.... well its every single page. and this is happening to me on a couple of computers. I have cleared cache and cookies. I've turned off enhanced tracking. I've also tried opening in a private window and still the same thing.

I have 8 windows open all the time on my main Firefox, and switching between them is hard because the name is that of the last tab I used, which might not be very human-readable or might be similar to one on another window. It would be great if I could name my windows! Is there a way to do that? If not, could I request that as a future feature?

A friend has passed away and I cannot access her obituary page. I could for a couple of days but I can't any more. Is this a problem with the FF latest upgrade? The page is [link removed by moderator]

I do not want her obituary page made public on a forum in case it causes inappropriate comments.

I have just discovered the page works ok on Chrome so I will use that for now, but I am reporting the problem to try and help you. I am using latest version of Firefox.

Logins.csv appeared on my desktop after powering on PC. I did not export password data, file just showed up. Is this normal? Related to an update? Should I be concerned about a data breach?

Where is it? I had multiple failed downloads. It keeps failing over and over again right at the end of the download. I don't understand why? It's not a space issue, plenty of that. So how can I check what is the reason for failed download?

I got saved the .part file, which is 5.13 gigs (full download should be 5.3). If I try to retry the download it just immediately fails and deletes the .part file. Why?

My problems started after the upgrade to 113 when Firefox would no longer load at all. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but nothing changed until I moved the profile (yeah profile mgr didn't work either). I finally got it to reinstall and ran sync but had to also reinstall my extensions/addons. The extensions appear to be working, but the are not displaying in either the toolbar area or in customizations.

I have tried searching all over and different solutions but thus far nothing has worked. That includes right clicking on the extension and selecting to add it to the toolbar.

I repeat, the extensions appear to be working though I cannot call some of them up (EverNote for example), and I need Lastpass on the toolbar for password generation and to access the vault.

Attached is image of customization scree that also shows toolbar area. No addons anywhere.

I used to be able to simply click and drag to reorder bookmarks but this no longer works (Firefox 115.02). Is there a new way to do this or, if a bug, when will it be fixed?
