Hi.

Whenever I click a button on the keyboard, the CTRL+F function comes up on it's own. I had previously disabled it because it ruins all shortcuts on youtube and with tourettes, I often also get thrown around if I am reading long articles, because of misclicks.

Unfortunately I did the big mistake of updating, also with a tourettes-missclick, so my question is: 1) How do I remove the 'quick'-search function? I want the Ctrl+F bar to come up ONLY WHEN I CLICK ctrl+F, and I want it to go away again if I click ctrl+F again. I forget how to do it. 2) How do I remove all future update prompts? Given that it has been made so hard to configure firefox into something tolerable, I don't want to throw all my setup away with minor updates always thrown at me. It takes me a long time every time there's an update, I have to fix language and other stuff back again. It's just not worth it in time for me to use Firefox, if I have to make a setup so often. 3) Recommendations for the best version of Firefox to go back to and stay in for eternity, alternatively, browsers that does not change or add functions without first asking the user... (The answer is no, by the way, I don't want more new fancy functions)

Sorry for this nagging but I simply can't use my browser like this. It's just not working.

Up to a few days ago I was able to see "View all memories" from One Drive in Firefox. Not anymore.

I am subscribed to One Drive. Every few days I get an email from One Drive with the past memories from the day of the email. I will open the emails and click on "View all memories" then it would take me to the One Drive and I would be able to see those pictures individually. For a few days now I have not been able to do this on Firefox anymore. The website goes to gray like it is trying to download the pictures but it gets stuck there.

This is happening both on my desktop with Windows 7 and my laptop with Window 11. Everything works in the Microsoft Edge browser. I can see all the images individually from that day.

I have communicated this problem to Microsoft One Drive and it seems to be a browser problem. Is there any way that this problem can be solved in the Firefox browser?

Hello. My tablet, has limited memory, due to its age. I am now finding that one of the main reasons why it is so slow is because whenever I open firefox, it opens multiple firefox processes which drain the memory and in some cases crashes the system. I have followed all the advice given to reduce these multiple processes, however nothing seems to work and at least 6-8 firefox processes open each time I open it. I have unchecked the recommended performance settings as well as hardware acceleration boxes. However, I cannot find where to set the content process limit to 1. Please tell me how to do this and if there anything else I can try to stop it opening multiple processes or I may be forced to ditch Firefox altogether for an alternate such as Bing, Chrome or DuckDuckGo. I tried accessing Peacock but was told they only support version 127+. I checked my version is 115.xxx but says browser is up to date. What is going on?

I'm hoping to get some help with disabling the Insecure connection password warning in Firefox version 115.11.0.

In previous versions, I could disable this warning through the about:config settings. However, I couldn't find the specific setting (security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled) that was mentioned in some online resources.

I understand the security risks involved in disabling these warnings, and I only intend to do this on a trusted website on my local network.

Could you please advise on the best approach for achieving this in Firefox 115.11.0, or any alternative solutions to manage insecure connection warnings for trusted local sites?

Hi when saving bookmarks with the key Control+ Shift + D this saves all bookmarks but doesn't save pinned bookmarks, what keys save all bookmarks including the pins? Thanks

I have been using igHome as my Firefox home page for many years. Yesterday when I opened Firefox multiple porn pages kept opening. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and that didn't help. I tried CCleaner and Malwarebytes to scrub any issues but that has not helped. HOWEVER, if I log out of igHome the multiple pages do NOT open, so apparently this problem is related to my igHome login.

I am using Windows 7 on this laptop and I understand that is no longer supported, but is there any way to remove whatever is causing these sites to open when I log in to igHome?

Please note this problem does not occur on a newer laptop running Windows 10. I am able to use igHome with no issues.

Hi, I have an old PC with Win7 and Firefox 115.30.0esr (64-bit) (latest version from 11 november 25) and this website cultuursmakers.be has problems aka differences with Firefox 141.0.3 (of my Android tablet) and other browsers such as Chrome. The green heading block overlaps and hide the upper part of the content block. For example, if you select inloggen (log in), then you see that the user name (naam) is not visible and only the box for the password is shown. Work around: Right click on the header and select Inspect. In the Inspector (html column) select the header tag. In the Inspector (css column) uncheck in the '.header.--fixed' selector the line 'position: fixed;' Now the content block shifts down and all content is visible. Can you verify / fix that? Firefox "Window" drop-down menu is missing open windows. This has happened for a few upgrades. If I add a new blank window, the drop-down menu will fully populate, though if I navigate to any of the other pages, it goes back to being incomplete.

Rebuilt my computer, restored Bookmarks from 'bookmarks-2025-08-30.html' but the original 'Other bookmarks' (just below 'Bookmarks toolbar') is now empty and has been moved to the bottom of all my other bookmarks in a new 'Other Bookmarks' folder. How do I get the contents back in the 'Other bookmarks' (just below 'Bookmarks toolbar'). P.S. I have a backed up 'bookmarks-2025-08-30.json' as well as a ' bookmarks-2025-08-30.html' available, if that would help. Regards and Best, NP_145

I use version 115.11.0esr (32-bit). I need help with the color of open tabs. How do open tabs can be all in one color and that is black or dark gray? I don't want all open tabs to be bright because it stitches me in the eye. Active tab can be any color but for all other open tabs I want them to be in the same dark color - black or dark gray. Is this possible and how can this be achieved? Thanks very much.

Firstly, I have a brain injury. I am easily overwhelmed by information and am slow to understand - especially anything to do with I.T.

Recently, I began successfully accessing the internet / Firefox via my Wifi Repeater. As of two or three days ago. I keep being asked to "log in to access the Internet", but even after I do it (successfully, as far as my repeater is concerned) I'm no further forward; I keep being asked to log in.

Thanks to my repeater I have a strong signal when in my garden office. But after a month, Firefox has suddenly stopped allowing me to use it. I am back at Square 1, before I purchased the thing.

I need need to work from my office. Please help resume my Repeater's access.
