Seeking on search engine may bring the old result: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/670997 (back in 2010 13 years ago)

In order to help community I let a trace here of my search, it was a bit long, but I finally found getting help on IRC.

After a mistaken forced restart (inadvertent pressure on the shutdown/start key), one of the 3 windows I had open is invisible. It shows in the 'Windows" menu as one of 3 but when I select it - nothing. It does not show as a recently closed window in History. I have restarted Firefox multiple times, including deleting the xulstore.json file then restarting (a fix from another similar thread).

How can I restore this inaccessible window?

Thanks

Hi, I use smartphones for very basic purposes, talk, text and minimal browsing, for instance, and largely have no use for about 99% of their other available apps, so am now considering phones which are between being smart and dumb, that go online but not by much. Currently I am interested in the Nokia 6300 4G (LTE) phone which Mozilla apparently is associated with but it uses a less-well known KaiOS Linux operating system and my question would be whether the Firefox browser can be installed on that phone, please. I thank you! Doug

For years I have watched the French evening news (le j-t de France 2) on Firefox. But once the latest version was installed, it has no longer worked. I get to the website okay, but when I click on the arrow to start the program, nothing happens. I've made the website an exception to pop-up blocking and have canceled the no tracking icon on that site, but it hasn't helped. Any suggestions? (I'm a professor emeritus of French.)

When downloading PDFs from a fax service using Firefox, the browser will sometimes download two copies of the file: first a 0kb file with the entered name, and then the actual file with (1) at the end of the file name. It doesn't always do this, but I can't figure out what does or doesn't cause it to happen.

Any suggestions on how to get back to downloading just one file with all the data in it?

My email screen has gone to a larger page that will not fit on the computer screen, whether in full screen or partial, the inbox is pushed off the left side, and the email previews are so large they extend half the way across from the right side. Previously most of the center was for email lists, but now it is just a small part that will only show two or three emails. How can I change it back the the old format?

Firefox always brings up the saved password for a particular website, but the password is old and wrong. Going to the Logins and Passwords management page, I enter a search for the website as it appears in the address bar, but there is no associated login in Firefox. There is no password associated with any part of the website's name or URL in 'about:logins' . Yet still some password shows up with a saved login. How do I find the password for this website and correct the password?

Hello.

Typing anything in URL (address) bar causes my CPU spike to 15-20% shown in Windows Task Manager, and up to 80% shown in Firefox Task Manager. I have 8 core / 16 threads CPU running at 4.0 GHz, so typing text in browser taking 15-20% of that is rather bizarre to me. OS: Windows 10 What I tried: - disabling Firefox Accessibility Service - hardware acceleration on/off - troubleshooting mode

Don't have same issue in other browsers (Chrome, Opera) Any ideas what else that might be?

PDF file creation(?) / "print preview" issues (April 2023)

Hi Firefox Team, I am using a web-based program that requires me to print documents. When I click "Print", Firefox tries to generate a printable copy, but fails - it ju… (funda kabanzi)

Hi Firefox Team,

I am using a web-based program that requires me to print documents. When I click "Print", Firefox tries to generate a printable copy, but fails - it just shows "about:blank", which isn't helpful.

However. Firefox seems to be perfectly capable of GENERATING .PDF files, because the same web-based program allows me to email these documents. If I pretend to email the document, it generates a .PDF copy of the document, and I can then open & print that .PDF file from within the program / within Firefox, using Firefox's default viewer. No downloads, no nonsense. It also allows me to view a consolidated set of documents as a .PDF file with no issues.

So the issue appears to be a "print preview" problem?

I can open & print a .PDF in Firefox. I can generate & print a .PDF in Firefox. The Firefox .PDF viewer seems to work as expected.

I have tried to set Adobe Acrobat as my default viewer. When I click "Print", Firefox does the "about:blank" thing... but Acrobat pops up over the top with a beautiful printable .PDF copy of the document. Strange? But I can't just click "Print" within Firefox and print my document, because that's apparently in the too hard basket.

I've attached a few images here - I'm not sure if they're helpful or not - but I've tried troubleshooting this as much as I can.

Things that have NOT helped, so far: - going into about:config & playing with both Print & .PDF related settings in there - bargaining with the program - general .PDF Viewer related troubleshooting solutions found on Firefox Support - turning it off & then back on again - uninstalling & reinstalling Firefox - "using Microsoft Edge instead", as per the program developer's recommendations (yikes) - using a different printer - using another different printer - using a third, also different printer - staring soullessly at the screen - trying to use different extensions for .PDF handling & generation - reverting everything to original settings just in case I'd totally hoofed things up

I am at my wits end with this darn thing hahaha, so I'm hoping someone here has the answer I'm desperately seeking :)

Thank you in advance!

How to open all sub folders simultaneously in Library to see all my content.

On the left side of the 'Library' is the list of folders with sub folders in them. These show up great on the left....BUT...I would like to open all the sub folders on the right to view the contents as one long list.

In the picture attached is folder '3 - English' on the left.

-The nested folders 'Idioms' 'Punctuation' 'Grammar'...etc., in the right side are not opened.

How can I have these open on the right to show all their content also?
