I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

After my beta install upgraded from 12 to 13 yesterday, the new tab page was working as advertised. When I started my computer today, however, the new tab page appeared blank, just as it did in older versions of Firefox. What happened? Any idea how to fix it?

Updated to this version but the new tab page didn't save my most visited sites as is the intention. Dragged my most used websites over there and worked but there is no thumbnail-picture or anything to show, just empty boxes with just below the site described as in my bookmarks.

1) Removal of the menu item for Tabs on Top in FF 15. The option is still available in about:config. So please give us the menu option back.

2) Menu option for removing the Firefox "App button" seems to have disappeared as well. I use Compact Menu 2 so the App button is a completely unnecessary element in the Firefox UI. Please put this option back too.

3) The feedback system in FF15 appears to be broken. Clicking on the submit button gives not visible sign that the feedback has been sent and the web page does not change.

I have been having trouble with some but not all websites not performing wordwrap...it is like a full paragraph of text on one line. Pain in the neck to read and am ready to go back to IE but do not want to. Using FF 11.0 on a 64 bit W7 computer. Many things have changed on this computer in the last few months with updates and versions changing. I have disabled all add-ins to no avail. I searched the web and most articles that I find deal with word wrap problems that page developers are happening. I searched FF help and got 117 pages...and actually went through four pages, finding nothing even remotely relevant to this problem.

Can some one help?

I am unable to get the print select to work on Firefox 11.o. I am able to click on print select but nothing prints. Aside from uninstalling 11.0 to an older version, are there any fixes? I use a mac os x version 10.7.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is search.us.com a part of FireFox? If so, please help me remove it from my computer. I have deleted it from my add-ons and I have deleted it as a program through Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. I have repeatedly chosen different home pages, but it keeps coming back. It has taken over my computer. Thank you.

If I enable SPDY in FF 12.0 I can not connect to Gmail. The connection tries but just stalls with the connection indicator on the tab turning slowly anticlockwise. I can connect to Gmail with Chrome, which I believe has SPDY enabled by default.

The right click menu option "Send Link" appears to have disappeared from Firefox 16 (desktop). Why? Is it coming back. I used this feature several times a day (and so did several of my friends). There does not seem to be a Add-On to can perform the same function. Please Help!

Ever since I updated to FF 16 I no longer see the option to send an email link when I right click although it does still show up under file also I noticed my Speed Dial extension isn't working correctly with FF 16.

Today I have noticed it for the first time.. The icon use to look like a blank page with a mini firefox icon on it.. Now the htm and html icon looks like a blank white page that is bent on the top right hand corner.. I tried a firefox reset and it didn't help.. I don't wanna do a reinstall of firefox because I want to keep the old firefox download manager and not the new one that is on the right of the search bar.. ( I saw it on my ubuntu linux computer) BUT my computer with the html file icon problem is Windows 7 x64

for the search engine, is there way to change the default search engine instead of changing it each time i open firefox. (ie: mine is currently yahoo and i want to use google)?

Why have we had so many new Firefox versions this year? A major step was taken when 4.x was released at the begging of the year and since then we have had versions 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and now 8.x in the space of just a few months. It seems version 9 is already in beta....

Most of the updates seem to be minor or intermediate in nature - certainly nothing that would require a major version release - so why so many new versions this year?

Also, since the update facility does not automatically upgrade you to the next major version, are all these versions still supported?

I tried the advice in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved, but again, there was no effect on the problem.

I even tried https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How%20to%20set%20the%20home%20page. But, whether I set it to the "Default Page" or to a new home page, it doesn't matter...

Firefox 13.0 will still only open up to the "Welcome to Firefox" page.

Please help me. Is anyone looking at fixing this?

An odd icon suddenly appeared between address bar and Search engine.. It looks just like a "balloon" for a carton character. Can't figure out the source or meaning. Thank you in advance.

So they have locked the thread that relates to this question, on the spurious grounds that FF13 has a new new tab interface. But that new interface actually prevents you getting your homepage in a new tab. I used to use New Tab Homepage add-on, but that hasn't worked for several versions. So I then used NewTabUrl, but now they have decided to break that.

I am thoroughly fed up with firefox continually making me re-learn the interface of my browser every couple of weeks. I have more important things to do than spend hours trying to fathom what some vacuous 'designer' now thinks is a really cute way for me to get to where I want to go.

All I want is a new tab to give me the page of my choice, not some ridiculous irrelevant algorithm devised in a conference room with too many whiteboards and not enough common sense.

since installing firefox 9.1 on my xp, whenever I bring up firefox, with google browser, a box appears top right "instal google chrome" I've installed it, but the box won't go away.

Using Dell PC/Windows XP. I like how Firefox runs in safemode not so bloated as usual. I would like to be able to start up Firefox in Safemode, without having to always restart Firefox to get it in safe mode. Anyway to do this? Many Thanks!!!

I would like to not use Google as my search engine if Firefox, so I went and changed the Awesome Bar's search engine to Bing but I can't change the "about:home" 's search engine to Bing. I would like for my Firefox to show the Bing logo and search Bing instead of Google. Thanks.
