Hi, I have requirement to embed youtube video on the webpage. When I embed the video with with <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XGSy3_Czz8k"> </iframe> It works absolutely fine. But, when I try the same with <object width="420" height="315" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/XGSy3_Czz8k"></object> This does not work and it shows message as "A plugin is needed to display". How should we fix this?
Testing on Firefox 37.0.1 on windows 7.

I finally got tired of Chrome tracking me all over the place, so I returned to Firefox. I'm using a PC with Windows 7.
However, since I started using Firefox again, periodically a blurred bluish screen overlays my browser. I can tell the browser's still in the background, and sometimes part of the page will flash clear and then vanish just as quickly. Waiting doesn't resolve the problem. Nothing consistently causes this, although I am usually in Facebook, but I have to close the browser, losing my tabs, and reopen the browser. Since I never know when it's going to happen or what triggers it, I can't figure out what's going on. I've seen other queries in the community support forum, but they aren't exactly what's happening to me. Flash is up-to-date, the browser's up-to-date, malware screen finds nothing.
I'm out of ideas, but I really, really, really don't want to go back to Chrome, so if any of you has any idea what's going on here and how to resolve it, I'd love to have your input. Thanks!

Firefox renders text incorrectly. It uses DirectWrite, which is incorrect, it should use GDI to render text. In all the next updates please immediately rewrite the Microsoft Windows renderer sourcecode to render all text with GDI.

I am working in a Program called Kofax KTA and I have looked through every pop-up/link/java setting I can find and none of them will stop the popup from automatically minimizing.
The Whole Process - - -
You log in to KTA KTA then gives a list of documents that you can see the data for along with the image. The processors have 2 screens one for the data for the document and another for the image. When you click on the document the browser opens the page with the document info and opens a popup with the image in it. This works in IE but for numerous reasons I would like the users to use Firefox.
Any help at all would be absolutely amazing as all of you are my last hope. The Vendor is not being much help Either!
Addition to original question------------------------ I can not give a link to the site as it is an internal site. I have gone through every pop up setting that I could find in about:config as well as made sure that the popup blocker is turned off. If the popup blocker is on it does not pop out the image of the document at all. But with it off it pops out the document it just automatically minimizes that document and the only way to view the pop up is to right click and then click on maximize and drag the pop up to the next screen. I realize this only takes around a second but we have around 100 people processing documents and every second counts.

The problem started after installing Windows 10 and often happens on Politico and Fox News. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. After the uninstall I scanned the registry with ccleaner

I have created a couple of small pages that i have embedded into another web site. The embedded pages wont display on that site in FireFox but works on Chrome with no problem. How can I fix this so others on FireFox can view these embedded pages? I didn't know it couldn't be displayed until tonight and I have been looking for a fix since I was told. Some may see a solid white box and others see a grey box with a plugin is needed to view this content. However, if I view the pages I created on the server they work fine in FireFox. Just not when embedded into another web site. I'm stumped...

Hello, my illustrious guides, The concerned Site: http://cvl-demos.cs.nott.ac.uk/vrn/index.php I have the same version of Mozilla Firefox and same version of OS (Knoppix 7.2.0) installed both in my laptop and my desktop. My laptop Firefox displays the outputs of the site nicely, whereas my desktop Firefox doesn't. I have ad blocker and script blocker disabled in both the systems for the site.

I have been having trouble opening many web pages on Mozilla Firefox. Eventually I get the dreaded "The Connection was Reset." I have tried updating the browser, resetting Firefox, disabling extensions, opening in Safe Mode, but these do not work. The only thing that seems to work is if I close out the browser completely, reopen it again, go to this same web page again and it will open. Please help. It is very frustrating to have this continually happen. Many web pages open right away, but many have this same problem on my PC. I have updated to the latest version at the moment, 33.0. I have a Dell PC running Windows XP. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not have to start using Internet Explorer. Thanks for your help. This even occurs when I go to update Firefox. No data is transmitted. So I quit Firefox, reopen it, and then the download works.

Firefox can be idle in the background while I'm working with another program and this will happen or I can be away from the computer and it will just be sitting idle and it will happen. Sometimes one item, sometimes three or four. But then bang! the scrollbar just locks up completely and it's impossible to scroll the page.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Firefox on macOS is fine.

I want the screen size to be set as 90% ONLY i have tired using the option of "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" but did not work well.
The menu tab should look the same but then only the content to be seen at 90% please I do not want to use an ADD ONS, kindly let me know with about:config option only.

For some reason, when I started my computer this morning the tabs were all bright blue. When I click on another window and change focus, it reverts to the light gray that it should be, however going back resumes the problem. Starting in safe mode does not help, and turning off hardware acceleration does not help. I have restarted both the browser and my computer, and the problem resumes. The only thing that seems to change it, is when I change it to certain themes like space, who completely change the color of it. The default, dark, and light themes all are affected by this bright blue tab bar.

Ever since the last update (I think) to 57.0, I am no longer able to resize my browser. I can doubleclick to go into full screen, but the cursor doesn't change to the resize icon when hoovering over any of the edges. The bar is black, tabs are there but are only shown after you click on them.
I've run FF in safe mode, , normal and private browsing, disabled all the addons (which are only ghostery, adblock, ublock and a password manager) and removed flash but nothing changed the results.
Any idea how to solve this?

I am using: Firefox Developer Edition 57.0b1 (64-bit) on Aurora update channel
P.S. There is a glitch where you can do this, but you have to do it for each open window. I want a permanent solution. The glitch: Go to Customize, add Flexible Space before Bookmarks Toolbar Items, switch to another tab and come back, remove Flexible Space, and exit Customize. Another glitch is by restoring the window, then maximizing it.
