I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I get these updates just to stop the annoying side popup/down. But what I get usually is no use to me and my browsing. What it seems to me is most update's "Fixes" are just for the dudes that keep playing with/building on the browser and screwing it up.

Plus I don't get to see WHAT the new update fixes are UNTIL I've downloaded the update.
 I sure wish that you...someone.... puts the option BACK IN where a person can stop/ignore updates....COMPLETELY! 
With the last 2 or 3 updates it seems... for my use of the browser... makes it a hell of a lot SLOWER. And a ton more pauses and crashes.  
Firefox was a great browser 10 years ago but with all these geeks playing with it and trying to make it ONLY to suit his/her needs is making it a pain.

Two questions, please

1) My Firefox ANT add-on extension apparently has a file "time limit" set to greater than 2 minutes. In other words, if I try to download a file online that is 2 minutes or less in time (i.e.- an audio file), the ANT application does see recognize or allow it. Is there a way to change this so that any file, regardless of time, can be downloaded?

2) Whenever I open Firefox, a Mozilla Policy File also opens in a second tab. Is there a way to stop this from happening every single time? It's VERY annoying!

I'm amazed, just AMAZED I can't find the answer to this with a simple google search, or searching the questions here, and I re-worded my search several times. All the answers I could find, even chatGPT (I know it's not alway sup to date) told me to use this option even though I specifically told it it wasn't there, is anyone aware that sometimes the option isn't there? What gives? Not blaming anyone specifically, but this a really simple question, I'm I the first person it's ever happened to?

I'm trying to fix a sound problem where videos will not play, and this is a suggested step. The sound on youtube videos plays with Google Chrome, so it's not my sound drivers, just with firefox it doesn't play. One of the steps as well was the clear my info, I cleared everything except history, I wished there was a way to back those up, I'll look it up.

Starting firefox in safe mode doesn't fix the problem either.

A webpage has 1,200 rows.

I do Select All or drag the cursor from the first row to the last row to highlight all of the rows.

I then do Copy.

When I do Paste (using Match Destination Formatting) to paste the copied rows into an empty Excel spreadsheet, only about 65 rows get posted.

What am I doing wrong?

In the last few days, I have noticed that a number of websites are throwing me SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP errors. Most websites, particularly more modern websites, seem to not have this issue. As some more professional examples, www.twitch.tv and www.dndbeyond.com throw this error. I have tried setting temporarily TLS version fallback limit and min to 0, with no change. I'm not really sure how to go about debugging what cyphers these websites do support and why they are throwing these errors. Any help on where to start would be greatly apprecaited.

I often restore tabs and browser sessions using the Tab Session Manager addon, with lazy loading and the discarded property enabled.

This loads tabs quickly with their favicons, but sometimes it fails to load certain tabs and loads new tab pages in their place instead which gets really frustrating. I could turn off the discarded property, but then it loads the page again and adds an entry to my browsing history which I don't want, it doesn't when the property is on. If I turn it off entirely then all the tabs would load, and too many at once would lag my computer.

Sometimes though, Firefox just doesn't load favicons and I want to load them manually. I'd like a way to load the favicon for a tab without loading the whole page.

I have tried Import Wizard from Firefox but unable to see Avast Browser in the list, restart the pc and re-launched firefox import wizard , still unable to see Avast brower in the list

Run the firefox installer again - no go

We downloaded the GPO Templates for AD and looking to customize Firefox.

We would like to disable Forms and Autofill: Autofill addresses Autofill credit cards

Also would like to lock down so they can't reenable if possible.

We would like to do this all through GPOs if possible. I found these in the about:config: extensions.formautofill.addresses.enabled extensions.formautofill.creditCards.enabled

But again want to do through the GPO. Is this possible?

Side note while working on GPOs, I set Exceptions for the popup blocker and they are not showing up in the browser. I also filled out to remove Search Engines but they all still appear in the browsers. These two GPO settings don't appear to be working.

I am extremely angry that I decided to move from Chrome to Firefox for a safer browser just for Firefox to lose all my login information I accumulated after some years of use. I am not sure when or how this occurred but I never received any notification that nothing was syncing or I had been logged out. I want all my login information restored. On top of that, I've always had issues with Twitch.tv and any video site crashing. My only concern is my logins being restored.

Firefox repeatedly crashes when attempting to play video or audio files of whatever type, in every web page.

I.e., just opening a YouTube page without playing the video is fine, but when I click on Play, it instantly crashes.

I constantly get logged out of ESPN on Firefox. Doesn't happen on any other browser using the same plugins. It's inexcusable for this issue to persist for nearly 6 months now. The worst part is that I can't log back in. The "Log In" button won't work and I'll have to sign all the way out of ESPN+ just the sign back in. It's happened 26 times this year. Firefox is getting worse by the day.

Hello, Sometimes i get random "lag" this lag then continues for some time and maybe stops, i cant even play a Youtube video even that is lagging or scrolling a webpage. I tried a few things but i don't know what i should try next.

I know there are ways , with more clicks or longer shortcuts to get to some folders but this is the main and most easily accessible way to get to my bookmarks. I know this has been discussed in some older posts but they are all archived so I can't ask any questions there. Sorting by name, for me, is quite inconvenient as sometimes the bookmarks title isn't immediately, easily remembered. Thanks.

Can you suggest firefox browser settings that might be getting in my way? PNC bank suggested turning off my malwarebytes protection in order to use their site! Not an answer that makes sense to me.

I will also try to contact malwarebytes for their suggestions.

I updated. There was then supposed to be a 're-store session'. Didn't happen. And I'm not about to read a thousand pages of twaddle to find out why. Firefox actually just sucks. My tech installed it. I'm going back to Safari.

When using Firefox on OSX (Ventura 13.4) after about 1 day Firefox slows down so much I have to quit the application and restart it. Then it is back to normal speed. I'm not sure if this is an OS-X issue or Firefox issue, but restarting the app fixes it for a few hours, then its incredible slow again.
