That's something Chrome does for ages. If I'm logged in to a local account on Windows and I want to reveal any of the passwords Chrome is storing, it will ask me for my credentials every time I try to see one of these passwords.

Firefox just shows them right away, exposing dozens of passwords to whoever might be using the computer.

I'm attaching 2 images, one from the password manager in Firefox, another from Chrome. you'll see that in chrome I'm asked for my windows credentials when trying to see passwords

I keep having problems with Firefox not loading certain pages despite that Microsoft Edge works fine. I've cleared my cache and cookies, tried disabling my firewall, and also tried Safe/troubleshooting mode and the problem was still there. Facebook Messenger and Google Hangouts are two of the ones that regularly don't work (and sometimes Submittable, Outlook, and Google Docs), but sometimes I can just refresh the page half a dozen times and then it works. I moved and switched internets two weeks ago and it may have started then (or a few days after). I also tried turning off the proxy and disabling Ipv6.

My comp: Windows 10, 64-bit, HP laptop, new in December 2019. Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx.

Hello, I have recently purchased a new laptop computer as my old one crashed. It is running Windows 10 which is new and unfamiliar to me. I am also using Firefox V85 as my default browser. In building my new bookmarks folder list I found the folder icons are coloured a nasty shade of grey. However, running Firefox on older operating systems (eg XP or Windows 8.1) the folders are a pleasing yellow colour. I have exhausted myself trawling the web, Youtube, and the Firefox help topics in trying to find a way to change the folder icon colour, but with no sucess. Please accept my apologies as I suspect that this question will have been asked before, but I cannot find any references to it. If anyone knows how to do this, please be aware that, whilst I am literate, I don't necessarily understand arcane computer terminology so I would welcome a simple key stroke by key stroke walk through. If there is a fix, it needs to work in both the Toolbar and the Sidebar. Many Thanks Chris

I am running Firefox 88.0.1 on Windows 10 and I can not get any websites/pages to load. When I click on the Firefox icon it opens the main Firefox screen but goes no farther. I can still access the menus but nothing will load. Also on the man screen on the 3 bar menu is a icon the says "Account Disconnected". I am using Microsoft Edge to write this but I hate it! I did a Windows update shortly before this problem popped up. Should I try to uninstall that update?? Any and all help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Starting last week (with the 88 update?), I've had problems using several sites that I have to login to. It started with Outlook (Office 365), but now includes Zendesk and even the Firefox Account. In the case of Outlook, I got an error message. For Zendesk, I can log in but the page doesn't render. On the FF Account page, I get a message saying cookies and local storage aren't enabled, though they are.

In all cases, there's an 'Uncaught exception...NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED...' error in the console. I got outlook working by using localStorage.clear() and sessionStorage.clear() in the console, but it was a temporary fix.

I've disabled all extensions to no avail. Some of these sites work in FF safe mode (hence logging in to write this), but Outlook is unresponsive.

What's going on? Is there a fix?

Questions and suggestions about how far back you can back tab the linked sites. I noticed that when there are too many links in a tab, the oldest drops off and you can no longer back tab to it. (1) Is there an option to set how many links are allowed before drop off occurs? (2) When that happens, how does it affect the JAVASCRIPT history.go() function? (2a) For HTML the first time the <body onload='function()'> the function can find the programs position in the link chain by using history.length. However, later (like returning from a link) is there a way to find that position? Saving it has hazards. Maybe you can suggest a history.current element. (3) I would like a way on browser screen to make the current link the first link (drop all the prior ones). It would reduce memory requirements. (I know, this should go in the suggestion box, but it is closed).

I can't use the auto-fill feature (for username and password) for the below website - https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/CCLogin.html I find it really irritating as every time I have to view my password to login to this website's account. I checked with Chrome, it's performing well, auto-fill feature is working for every website. Could you please check and help. Thanks! Prakash

Thanks!

Tried to sign up to Disney plus but receive an error - "We're having trouble loading a legal document for you to review..." and it says to go to the Disney plus page and view error 66 (yeah I know lol - but wishing doesn't make you a jedi).

The page advises to delete history and cookies etc which I have but I think it's another issue. I have also disabled adblock. I have included a screen shot of the console errors in the hope that this will help with advice. I am trying on my recently new laptop as my prior one has a corrupted drive and needs some work and time for me to fix.. I also tried on that laptop which uses fire fox but received the same error. I have tried on edge on this computer but get the same error. I have not tried on my mobile and may do so but I would like a possible solution to this. I have norton running but I don't know how to disable it and not sure if this is the issue. My internet is not bad so I don't think it's an Internet issue.

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome. - thanks.

I have a staging site for my website which is protected (not visible to the public) and requires authentication with the username and password to be accessed.

Firefox is blocking access with the authorisation window coming up empty again and again and again when I enter the credentials.

So - I have to use a different browser just to access this one site.

I have cleared the cookies and cache, removed the site from the browsing history - Firefox is still blocking the access.

how can I unblock it?

I use Windows 64 bits on my PC.
