Since >=FF57 compatible session manager addons (still) depend on bookmarks, I'm looking for a way to have Firefox regularly export bookmarks automatically.
Google keeps pointing to addon FEBE, which is not >=FF57 compatible.
Are there any alternatives?

I want to change the default fonts in Firefox. The problem is that the "Default font" setting doesn't really do this. Going to the "Advanced" dialog shows the truth: for every single writing system, the entries are
Serif: (Default) Times New Roman Sans-Serif: (Default) Arial Monospace: (Default) Andale Mono
I want to change which fonts Firefox uses for these "(Defaults)," and I want those defaults to apply to every writing system. Going through every writing system and individually changing them - for every user on the system, mind you - is not an acceptable solution. I didn't see anything in about:config. There is a default, and it needs to be changeable somehow. How?

Good morning. I have my permissions set to 'Block Audio and Video' under Autoplay yet it does not work. I have given no sites permission to allow autoplay yet it seems to be happening frequently. Not necessarily every site but quite a lot. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Per Firefox guidance there is an option to toggle on an option that would not would not prompt to update. The option box though is not an option in preferences (See below).
Did this option once exist, but it is no longer available and no one bothered to up date the trouble shoot guide?
If so, why does it not still exist?
Can it be brought back?
If not, is there some backdoor way to shut it off?
Thank you kindly
Firefox occasionally checks to see if any updates are available for itself and for your search engines. To disable these checks:
Click the menu button Fx57Menu and select Preferences. In the General panel, scroll down to the Firefox Updates section. Check Never check for updates (not recommended) and uncheck Automatically update search engines. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Is there a plugin to allow Citrix Receiver or Citrix Workspace to work with Firefox on a Windows 10 computer?
Without a plugin, the Citrix EMR viewer comes up which does not work. Past versions of Firefox had Citrix plugins.

I'm using Firefox 63.0.3 on Fedora 29 Linux. When I download an image in .FITS format (standard in astronomy), I get the "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialog box, and select "Open with". The suggested application is Gimp, which is useless for my purposes; I want the astronomical image viewer ds9, a descendant of SAOimage. The dropdown menu does not offer ds9 as a choice, so I select "other", which opens a "Select Application" dialog box. This also does not list ds9, nor is it in the "View all applications" list, so I go to "Find new applications" which offers me the same selections in fancier format, but also has a search box. I put the path to ds9 (/usr/local/bin/ds9) in the dialog box, but the choice is not offered -- I get "No applications found" anywhere along the path.
This used to work. What seems to have happened is that a design decision was taken to create a special menu of Firefox-approved 'applications' and limit the user's choices to these alone. Is there any workaround, or am I stuck with downloading files I don't want to save and laboriously opening them by hand in a separate application? This is driving me crazy, or more accurately, even crazier.

I use a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2, which is a drawing tablet. In Firefox, this on screen keyboard or writing pad keeps opening whenever I click on a box I can type in. I have a bluetooth keyboard connected, and when I use it, the on screen keyboard goes away, but I want it to stop popping up permanently, I hate it and I never use it. I've gone into the Options setting and turned off 'allow on screen keyboard when necessary' and also went to about:config and set the osk to false and it still pops up.

I used to be able to download videoes from my facebook but after I installed windows media player I can't. The video goes full screen instead with no way to download (from what I can tell). I uninstalled windows media player but am still having the same issue. I tried refreshing firefox but it didn't help. I can't find what's causing this issue. I've attached an image of the video playing after I picked download.
