I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I am trying to view a list of Purchase Orders in my web-based ERP system (Unanet) but when I go to search, only 1 out of the 5 PO's appear. I have contacted Unanet support and they logged into my account and were able to view all 5 PO's, so we're certain the issue isn't within the ERP. It's either with my computer or browser. See attached image for reference, there should be 5 Purchase Orders listed. There seem to be a few errors in my console (on the bottom of the picture) but I'm not sure how to fix them. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Firefox 17 is not retaining cookie setting for websites. Besides removing all existing exceptions I had, it will no longer retain exceptions for cookies. I have the basic cookie setting as unchecked for accepting cookies (that is the default is not to accept cookies), but when I add an exception, it does not retain it when I close my browser. This is very serious stuff. I will have to move from my beloved Firefox to something that *does* work. I can't believe you haven't been flooded with complaints. Or maybe you have.

Since upgrading to FF17 I get requests for new cookies each and every day - even for websites that I'm surfing on since years, and for which the cookie settings clearly state to accept them automatically (if only session based). Accordingly, these sites have cookies stored in my profile, but FF seems to be no longer able to pick those up.

To me this looks like a bug in the program, as nothing else has changed between running (happily) on FF16 and upgrading to FF17.

The page isn't redirecting properly

Youtube will play on the small player, even load 1080P on the small player, and full screen works fine, but refuses to resize to the large player that takes up about half the screen. It worked just fine until I had to reinstall Firefox due to some other bug that is now fixed.

Previous versions of FF allowed you to select individual cookies that wouldn't be deleted when FF closed. This meant you wouldn't have to log in to your favorite sites each time you opened FF; - you'd already be logged in. Later versions of FF no longer have this functionality. However, IE and Safari both do have this functionality. For example, I used to be able to keep my google cookies and browse straight into google reader after the browser opened. Now I always have to login. Does anyone know if the functionality will be restored to FF? The current lack of versatile cookie settings is a hindrance to efficiency.

(PS. Cor-el, please don't answer as you're wrong on this. The key messages are that FF used to have this functionality and plenty of other users agree, and IE and Safari still have it so go and check it yourself, and it has nothing to do with Clear Recent History.) Thanks all. :)

Firefox suddenly stopped working with Mac OS 10.6.8- keeps blocking even Safari- will jot download , open pdf file downloads-- wasted a lot of time of several University experts- we can't locate work out why- x3 quit everything, download, reinstalled twice, machine switch on/off- something seriously wrong and wasting alot of time. It had been working faultless for years- recently iMAC 1TB disc was changed by Apple under their programme of exchange for 'free'- it has not worked since!!!! Many thanks

– I have the most recent version of Firefox. – I have my settings in Preferences -> Privacy on "Keep third party cookies until I close Firefox". – I've checked "Clear history when Firefox closes" and have ticked every single box under settings (except saved passwords). – But still, Cookies do not get deleted when I close Firefox – there are hundreds of cookies every time I open it. – If I go to Tools -> Clear recent history, choose "everything" and tick every single box, history etc. get deleted but the cookies remain. – If I go to Preferences -> Privacy and click "Show Cookies" and then click "Remove all cookies" twice, the cookies disappear, but they're back just seconds later. – I've even tried going to Preferences, clicking on Exceptions and manually adding some of the websites that showed up under "show cookies" and blocking them and then deleting the cookies, but still they re-appeared within seconds, and the exceptions were blank again. – I've checked all your support pages about this topic. – I've seen this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/740598?esab=a&as=aaq and tried it and it didn't help. – I've seen this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/936308?esab=a&as=aaq and this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/868910?esab=a&as=aaq, and yes I do use "Do Not Track Plus" and some of the Cookies seem to be Opt-Out-Cookies but most are not.

Please help me. I used to be a big fan of Firefox but this is getting really scary.

With firefox 17.0 Norton 360 does not pick up tracking cookies that were picked up with firefox 16.0.2. Uninstalled 17.0 and and reinstalled 16.0.2 - tracking cookies are picked up - updated to 17.0 and again no tracking cookies. I did not see anything in release note that would seem to reflect this situation. asked this question at 08:57 PST 11/29/2012 and the reply stated that Norton 360 should still be able to remove tracking cookies. WELL IT DOES NOT - WHAT HAS CHANGED FROM 16.0.2 TO 17.0 THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS. IS THIS A NEW BUG? The first reply did not answer my question however it was marked as "solved". I have rolled back to 16.0.2 and updated to 17.0 twice and the same thing has happened both times.

Every time I enable cookies (set it to custom enable) and I press ok, it didnt change. I go back into options and the information didnt change. I thought that the plugins had something to do with this so I tried browsing in the same site with all of the plugins disabled but that didnt work. Every time I press ok to change the cookies information, it just goes back to default whenever i go back into the options menu.

Some websites keep asking to enable cookies in my browser when they are and I can't get this sites to see that, they worked fine yesterday but not now. I've restarted the browser, restarted the computer, disabled then enabled cookies in the privacy settings and still nothing. Any help?

Since yesterday i can´t enter on my MAIL account, on my Facebook account, and i can´t do some kind of downloads that use the servers "Turbobit" and "Bitshare"... anyway i saw my configurations in the browser and i think that everything is ok... After that i made a restoration system without any result.... But i can say that a moth ago i had Chrome installed and i quit it because i had a similar error...so what can it be?

I am unable to login to gmail or rediff mail accounts , as all websites asking to enable cookies, though i have enabled cookies as mentioned in all forums. Are there any more settings to be done or at system level we have to make more changes.please help me to solve thw issue. What cld be other possible causes for these e.g some other softwares on the systems....etc

i can't go to gmail or log into youtube becouse it says my cookies aren't enabled but i know they are in every possible way i tried everything deleting history,cookies,memory nothing worked i have the same problem on chrome

I cannot access internet by using FireFox (Last version), IE, Chrome. Initially, I received a message "...cookies functionality is turn off, please turn it on..." In addition, I tried to clearing all history data, as well as reinstall, but it still not worked.

Could anyone help me to solve it?

i'm looking for the cookie exception list that seems to have moved in later versions. I'm having trouble with Facebook and yahoo mail in that Firefox is showing those sites in frames. If I reset Firefox it works fine, but I am tiring of resetting it twice a day to read my email. It was suggested to add these sites to the cookies exception list - except that it's not where it used to be.
