I have no problems with most cookies, but periodically I need to clear the cookies for a particular website. I don't want to delete them all, as that would eliminate a bunch of username/password combos that I don't want to replicate. There used to be a way to bring up the cookies, and I could sort them so that I could delete all the ones for xyz (example: all the ones for familysearch.org). However, I can't find the place in Quantum to delete SELECTED cookies. Where is it?

I am using Multi-Account Containers, and am unclear on how it interacts with the other cookie and storage management features of the browser. If I clear cookies from Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data, does that clear all cookies in all containers, or just in "No Container"? Is there a way to delete/manage cookies within just a single container? Is there a way to delete/manage cookies for just "No Container"? Is there a plugin to help with this, or a manual means of editing cookies (editing text file or sqlite database)?

I thought that all expired cookies should be deleted automatically by the browser. but that is not the way it happens in my Firefox (same behaviour for different web-sites).

closing Firefox and even reboot of the computer don't help. the only way to remove expired cookies from Firefox is: by hand (which means I have to choose cookie in Privacy Tab of Firefox Options and press button 'Delete cookie').

well, the good news: expired cookies are ignored by the servers (tested with user script through my virtual server) but for unknown reason still continue to be stored idle in Firefox.

Is that the way it should work?

I have created reports in Wal-Mart Retail Link. To run the report, you right click on the report and a pop-up comes up that allows you to modify, submit, delete or share this report. These options are hidden by another popup that gives the options to Back Forward Reload...Inspect Element (Q). It runs correctly when using Internet Explorer but not Firefox.

I always run Firefox in private browsing mode. Normally I don't accept cookies, but turn on the 'Accept cookies from sites' when necessary. Until recently when I've selected 'Accept cookies from sites', cookies have shown up in the 'cookies list'. Now they don't. As far as I can tell, I'm not doing anything differently. Resetting Firefox makes no difference.

Hi,

First time posting on these forums. I am trying to learn how to defend myself against annoying tracking cookies, without downloading third-party software (just because).

As I am using FireFox I had a quick search on the web for the storage location of cookies from FireFox.

I've found the profile folder where cookies.sqlite should be but it isn't there. All there is is a few folders, listed:

cache2 jumpListCache OfflineCache safebrowsing startupCache thumbnails

Most of the folders have files that are encoded somehow so I can't read them. cache2 has two interesting folders in it, one in particular called "doomed". I opened one of the random files in it and it is some (presumably) JavaScript file that identifies itself as a "SurveyGizmo Interceptor Survey Beacon".

I am running the latest version of Windows 10

Can anyone point me where I need to go, please?

Just this week I was deleting individual cookies as they appeared or when I was through with the site. Suddenly, that option is gone. Additionally, the "Manage Data" button/link claims to be the replacement. It does not work. I logged into several sites and nothing appeared in cookies. This includes my google account which dumps a copious amount of cookies and trackers on your browser. I have taken a picture of where the "show cookies" link/button used to be located.

I don't understand this change. I want control of my privacy and Mozilla is the best but this option being gone and having no real way to delete individual cookies is maddening.

Please tell me how to remedy this.

Hi dear support,

I couldn't solve my problem even I tried lots of tipps and settings for allowing the cookies for google... Its a very tough issue.. I am using No Script and Adblock, but I hope they are not the issue.. I also found out, that whatever changes I make to FF cookies, like accepting third party cookies and adding exceptions, after a FF restart everything is by the old: 3rd party cookies are disabled and the entries are removed... Even if making the changes and loading the page without restart - the page in the attached screenshot appears.

Please help me with this issue...

10x u a lot and be blessed for ur work!!!!

Hello. I am not new to Firefox, but I have problem with cookies. It surprises me. The problem is that: 1) I log into a website; 2) I clear the cookies using both the "Clear Data..." and "Manage Data" buttons (marking all the options); 3) Firefox says "Your stored cookies, site data and cache are currently using 0 bytes of disk space." 4) I refresh the page of the website; 4) the website still shows that I am logged in; what is more, the developer tools->Storage shows some cookies (I do not know whether it is all of the expected cookies for that website).

What is more surprising to me:

5) After the above steps, when I set the option "Block cookies and site data->Type blocked" to "All cookies" and then refresh the page, the website says that I am NOT logged in, but the cookies ARE still shown in the developer tools->Storage; 6) after that, when I set this option to "All third-party cookies", after refreshing the website says that I AM logged in "again". The cookies are still shown in the developer tools->Storage.

To be sure, I have checked the above behavior using a new, clean profile.

I wanted to know if this is expected behavior. Maybe I just do not understand how cookies work (in Firefox)?

My environment: Firefox 63.0.3 (64-bit) (clean, new profile, beyond of course the above cookies settings); Fedora 29 Workstation; Linux 4.19.2-300.fc29.x86_64

UPDATE: this website does not handle session in the URL.
