Why is Firefox not re-writing recovery.jsonlz4 file?
I am running Firefox 65.0.2 in Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. It is 8:16PM on 03/18/2019. The recovery files have timestamps: 03/05/2019 03:09 PM 2,049,220… (funda kabanzi)

Why is Firefox not writing a new file when I open or close a tab? Is there anything I can do right now do get diagnostics on this problem? I believe that tomorrow I may be installing Windows patches and have to reboot, and restarting Firefox will lose all diagnostic data. Thanks.

Windows 10, Firefox 66.0.1 crashes and does not shut down when closed, with these 2 error messages: 1) Mozilla Crash Reporter (all boxes are checked)
When browser is reopened another error message appears: 2) Close Firefox: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.
This appears even after a long delay before restarting Firefox. I have gone through the suggested list of fixes, with no effect.

Ever since ffx 65.* 2-4 firefox process hangs on termination and then crashreporter starts after minute
Same issue as question 1250811. I can start firefox in safemode, and just let the front page load and then close. This will, 100% of times, close a few firefox processes,… (funda kabanzi)

I can start firefox in safemode, and just let the front page load and then close. This will, 100% of times, close a few firefox processes, but the master process and a few child processes hang...with 12-25% load (according to sysinternals process explorer), for about a minute.
Then the crash-reporter shows up to tell me it ffx crashed.
