Hello! My Firefox browser is currently in a state where all fonts/letters in the Firefox interface (bookmark bar, settings, about page, website name...) are replaced by undecipherable characters.

I've searched for similar problems already and tried so far the following steps to resolve, unsuccesfully...

• Opening the browser in Safe Mode / Deactivating all extensions
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox

• Disabling hardware acceleration
• Trying on another profile




When I copy paste said text to another window (ex: Notepad, Chrome Browser…) it appears properly. And as you can see in the screenshots below the text in actual websites is readable -- only the browser's interface, setting, address bar... are scrambled.

Does that bug rings any bell? Do you have any other troubleshooting steps I should try to resolve this? Any help will be appreciated! : )

This is absolutely driving me out of my mind, I no longer have a tiny drag space above my tabs- when I 'customizem toolbar' and try to add a flexible space above them, I can't. The only solution is to constantly have the menu bar turned on, and at that point I'd just opt out of FF. I cannot figure out why this happened, and I cannot seem to fix it- please help me

The autocomplete dropdowns for form fields have recently changed appearance, and I strongly prefer the previous, simple design.

The new version has:

• Clock icons next to autocomplete/history entries
• Much more vertical padding, making the list unnecessarily large
• Rounded "pill-shaped" highlighting when hovering over an entry

The previous autocomplete list was much more compact and clean, without the clock icons, excessive padding or rounded hover backgrounds.

Is there currently a setting, `about:config` preference or other supported way to restore the old autocomplete list appearance?

Ideally, I would like to use the previous style:

• No clock icons
• Compact rows with the previous amount of padding
• No rounded/pill-shaped hover effect
• Otherwise retain the existing autocomplete functionality

If there is no setting to restore the old appearance, could an option be added to allow users to choose between the old and new autocomplete UI?

when I move the mouse to the top of the screen in full screen the bar thing shows up, this has caused issues and I want it to not do that, please tell me how to disable this

Since the latest update, the findbar is not displaying for me. I hit ctrl+f and I can type a word and it will highlight on the page, but I can't see the findbar itself.

In my about:config, the only modified findbar preferences I have modified are:

userchrome.floating-findbar-on-right userchrome.floating-findbar-on-right.enabled

I have tried changing them from true to false, but it doesn't fix the issue.

I use the setting brower.search.widget.new = false to customize my search bar. Since the latest update of Firefox (Firefox 154), I noticed that spacing between search results is larger and I don't like it as much. I am hoping to revert to the previous version where the spacing is more tight and easier to navigate. The first pic is Firefox 154 and the second is a previous version (147).

Coming from Vivaldi, and prior to that Opera Presto. I wonder if there is a way to customize the sidebar to get the bookmark folder to "Expand on hover", or to expand the sidebar button to a few pixels on the entire left side, and keep the tabs on top?

I know this was possible last time I used FF, maybe 10 years ago between Presto and Vivaldi. But I don’t remember if it was a browser config or add-on!?

I have just reopened my Firefox and have found that recent changes have suddenly put my tabs right at the top of the window - initially very confusing because I feared that I had lost them. I would like to put them back where I find them easier to work with, how can I do that?

Firefox v154.0.1 macOS v26.6.2

I have zoom set at 170% for web pages but I'm unable to do the same for bookmarks and tabs. Is there a setting that I have missed which does increase their size?

Despite using the most recent updated version of Firefox (154.0.1--64 bit), I am unable to change the font size and font style in my emails. I currently use macOS, Catalina, version 10.15.8. I've selected Palatino, 24 pt. in the Advanced settings menu, but no changes take place. Please advise.

Since the latest update, I can't see the text in contextual ("right-click") menus. I'm using Version 154.0 (64-bit) on Win 11 for Snapdragon. I've attached an example.

How to deal with this?
