Attempting to add a tag while in the library to existing bookmarks: the tag vanishes.

When attempting to save a bookmark, using "Bookmark this page" and then selecting Bookmark Menu to display a list of saved folders, the list of saved folders that appears is a short partial list. This list does not permit scrolling to view the remaining unlisted folders. I hope to be able to use as before with all the folders showing in the save dropdown,, not having to save in "Other Bookmarks and then drag all the way to the folder I want. No problem seeing all of the folders in library or in side bar.

I just purchased a new computer. I am trying to restore my browser bookmarks. I followed the steps to create bookmark folders. I clicked on the bookmarks icon, scrolled down to the "show all bookmarks" link thus opening the "Library" window. I then created the folders I wanted under "Bookmarks Menu" but they do not appear in the bookmarks listing.
Every time firefox syncs, it doubles up my bookmarks. I deleted the duplicates, and they keep coming back...

I fixed it not long ago by manually deleting every duplicate. Took hours. Today, they are all back again...very frustrating...

In the past I have been able to save my Bookmarks into a Word doc so I could further sort and organize them. When I did this the links from the bookmarks were active and I could click on any one and go to the corresponding website/article or whatever.
For some reason when I now choose "Export Bookmarks to HTML" in Firefox and double click on the link to open them in Word I am presented with a "File Conversion" box that I'm unfamiliar with and when I click OK it spits out what looks to be some type of coded gibberish and not my Bookmark links.
The attached 3 files are numbered 1 to 3. Please read them in order. Thanks.

When the "browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML" setting in about:config is changed to True, the current bookmarks are supposed to be saved to bookmarks.html in the active profile folder each time FF is closed. I, however, just upgraded to Windows 10, and even though this setting was changed, no such file is saved. I've seen no reports of this capability changing under Win10. Should I report this as a bug? dL

Tried to backup the Bookmarks from before I idiotically clicked the update button, but alas, its unable to do that.

While back, firefox users got outraged due to bookmakrs comment section was removed. Users were no longer able to write comments for their bookmarks. Firefox said that websites accessing bookmarks, could also read comments which could contain personal information such as logins and passwords etc.
For that reason FIrefox team decided to force users ditch comment section.
The problem here is not the comments but the fact that bookmarks are accessible to other websites. Firefox is not just allowing but had implemented an API for websites to access bookmarks. This was done so that websites can crawl your bookmarks and push ads based on what they find. It may also be a government imposed function. Either one.
So now that thousands of users personal information was exposed to unknown websites accessing their bookmakrs, firefox resolved this with "taking feature away" ? instead of "remove bookmakrs reading by websites" ?
WTF ? I have no words to describe this moral corruption. They purposly created a function that allows websites to access your bookmarks comments. After enough information was shared they decided to pull the plug to make them selves look good as "we care about your privacy" ? What the hell are you talking about ? YOu care about my privacy ? STOP websites from reading my bookmarks !!!!!!!!!!! Websites should have NO access to ANYTHING. They should not know what browser i have, they should not know what bookmarks i have.

For example, I am interested in several broad subjects and at different times I might want to see the bookmarks on one or another. I already have folders. Is there a way that I can 1) separate this large set of bookmarks into one or more "sets," and 2) have access one or another "set?"
