So I'm having a small issue with the volume slider on youtube. The gray bar that indicates volume is about 1% of the size it should be (Please see attached image). It functions fine but bothers me enough that I've contacted support. I've opened it in safe/troubleshooting mode and the issue persists, and there in no issue on chrome. Any help would be appreciated, thanks ^_^.

Maybe after update, or i dont know why, but now. when youtube (or any other videoplayer) in fullscreen - taskbar menu is visible (Is on topscreen). In google chrome problem is not repeats. I'm using StartAllBack app for classic start menu, but till that day all was fine. I checked on two devices with firefox - the same problem (StartAllBack or windows version wasnt cahnged). I recently updated my browser, and I've noticed that while listening to music on YouTube, for some reason, the volume slider within the player also controls the stream volume within KDE Plasma's volume mixer, making for a much more frustrating experience. Now the volume resets to what was set on YOUTUBE rather than sticking to what was set in the VOLUME MIXER every time a new video plays or any time the page refreshes. This means that the volume gets reset every. single. time. The issue with this is not only that YouTube's volume slider isn't as accurate as KDE Plasma's, but also that a media player in a browser shouldn't be controlling its own system volume within the mixer because it causes issues and frustrations like these.

How do I separate player and stream volume?

Windows 11 Pro - Dell XPS8940 desktop - i9

Firefox will not play video from a website. If I save the video, it is a MP4 file. Windows Media Player and VLC will play the video file. But the browser shows the message: "No video with supported format and MIME type found."

Chrome and Edge will play this video correctly in their browsers. Firefox will not play the video on 3 different computers, and even when a different user account is involved (without Firefox sync).

The evidence seems to point at firefox. The website is a Wordpress site.

Is it possible that the website is the problem? If so, why do Edge and Chrome work?

I uninstalled Firefox (latest version) and reinstalled it. Not fixed.

My windows updates are current, as are Dell updates.

This is stumping me. I hope someone can help.

Здравствуйте. Последнее время заметил следующую проблему. При открытии некоторых сайтов, где есть видео или транляции, колесиком мышки открываю нужные видео или трансляции в новых вкладках. Ситуация следующая. Если не спеша открыть несколько вкладок, например 5, после перейти к ним, то нужно нажать в центре видео/трансляции "плей", чтобы видео стало работать. НО, если открыть вкладки (так же 5 или более) и сразу же переключаться на них, то видео будет автоматически стартовать. Раньше так и было при добавлении нескольких вкладок с видео, а после переключения на них, видео сразу открывалось. Теперь - нет. В настройках ничего нигде не менял, проверял как на версии браузера для пк на 133..., так и на последней 137... Отключал все дополнения, в настройках сайтов давал разрешение для автовоспроизведения аудио и видео. Хочу отметить, что такая проблема на многих сайтах. На некоторых же всё работает как и раньше. Также отмечу, что переустанавливал браузер с полной очисткой. Железо у пк хорошее, озу 32 гб. Никогда проблем такого рода не было. Прошу помочь с решением проблемы.

Issue Description: I’m experiencing a problem with fullscreen mode while using YouTube on Firefox on Windows 11 with a dual-monitor setup. When I enter fullscreen, the video does not cover the entire screen. Instead, I can still see parts of the Windows desktop or background around the edges of the display.

This problem started yesterday. The sound in YouTube with Firefox is extremely low. As far as I can tell, the problem doesn't exist elsewhere. Other browers are OK with YouTube and other websites that have sound are OK with Firefox.

I reinstalled Firefox and rebooted the computer - still has the problem.

Can't seem to stream Netflix. Firefox is up to date. New Widevinecdm update today 4/2/2025. Apparently since that update (today) I can't stream. I get Netflix error code F7702-1003. Searched/read several FF articles/forum Qs - no help. did a "refresh FF" - no help. don't want to install Chrome (Google knows too much about me already). Netflix worked fine last night. Tried unchecking "play DRM controlled content" - FF(Netflix site) asked to enable DRM - clicked ok - reinstalled. no help. Hard reboot - no help. Still running a Win7 64-bit desktop OS - works fine.

Firefox is no longer playing audio from the Internet. I am running Firefox on Windows 11, and have the latest update installed (10/29/25). What happened? How do I fix this.

I am 99.5% sure this is a Firefox issue, as I have no problem playing audio files stored in my computer, and no problem playing Internet audio using Chrome or Edge.

As the title says. I get this prompt on videos from different, yet particular websites and sources. And they fail to load. It's also happened where some video's work and some don't, side-by-side on the same website and session.

• I've tried clearing all of my cached data, my browser history, cookies, site-data, settings, and fill-out information. No avail.
• I've tried disabling all of my extensions and add-ons.
• I've even tried using google instead, but I just get constant loading on those particular video's with no thumbnail (As depicted in second picture).
• I've checked my video drivers for updates.
• I've tried reinstalling Adobe Flash Player, even though it says it's no longer supported.

Since it also might be happening in another browser. I understand how this might not be Firefox's fault. But I'm hoping you'll be able to help me still.

YouTube videos encoded at 60 frames per second are extremely choppy in Firefox only. Microsoft Edge plays the same videos perfectly.

I have deleted my profile and reinstalled Firefox, updated graphics driver to the latest version, and toggled hardware acceleration on and off. Nothing helps.

Whether a person clicks the fullscreen indicator or types F on the keyboard, the cursor will remain on screen as the video is playing until it is again moved. This also affects video played through the browser on steampowered.com. This issue appeared as of 143 and is still going strong in 144. This seems to be macOS specific as I am not noticing this behaviour on the Windows client. Could be a conflict with Tahoe.. I don't really know at this point.

There used to be a website where you could fire off a 'Firefox made me happy/sad' which is where I would've preferred to send this. So, have other people encountered this issue? And if so, are there any lasting solutions beyond wiggling the mouse?

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even when set to 480p. The audio continues to play normally. This issue does not happen in Chrome on the same laptop.

Now it was fine for a while, but now it's so bad that I'm having trouble watching YT videos properly. Reason: Browser open, logged in to YT. I click on a video to play - video opens, plays maybe 10 to 20 seconds, then playback stops spinning top, I also found out during the last glitch after update that if I switch the resolution briefly, higher or lower doesn't matter - important is to leave the current resolution and switch to another one. And oh wonder - immediately, instantly with the change, the video starts playing. If I wait for this - without doing anything myself, it sometimes takes 30 - 40 seconds for the video to start ... sometimes it just "hangs" ... This is extremely annoying - if it doesn't work, I have to switch browsers... What is also extremely annoying is that it occurs almost regularly after an update ... until the next one possibly, for unknown reasons, does not fix the error, but sometimes mitigates it. Now, however, the disruption/interruption is so massive and totally annoying that I'm thinking of switching. I'm just tired of it ...
