Firefox crashes every day or so on my home computer. The most common error message is "kmode exception not handled." I've tried the suggested fixes. Nothing helps. The crashes are not being recorded in "about crashes" or in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\. So it seems the crash reporter has to be fixed before the problem causing the crashes can be identified. Firefox does not crash on my office computer and no other program causes my home computer to crash. Thank you.

whenever i stop, backtrack or advance a video as in youtube i can expect it to crash. the same with pages containing videos. also playing music sound clips i can guarantee a crash. this has been a problem for years.

When attempting to attach file to enail from File Explorer, or do a "Save as" of a photo, Firefox crashes and a "Firefox Crash Reporter" box appears, which instructs me to restart Firefox.

Just over a week ago, I found that a particular page transition always crashed by browser tab (i.e. a reproducible crash). This occurred on the Quora.com website when visiting the 'Questions' tab for any Quora Space. I am not aware of anything special associated with this operation, and it works OK in Chrome. There may be other cases -- outside of that particular website -- but that is the one most affecting me at the moment.

There are no associated Windows events logged. I checked about:crashes and the Crash Report folder but i cannot find any readable details.

If I refresh the page then the transition occurs without problem.

I would like to find the cause myself because I am on an Windows 7 64-bit ESR version, although I do not believe this is an ESR issue as it was working fine a couple of weeks ago. it is just that I cannot find any logged information on the cause.

My Firefox browser has been crashing for a while now (Years). It's fine playing YouTube and BBC iPlayer but when I advance the time marker to a different part of the stream or video, it crashes. It also has a problem when playing slots. It seems to crash a lot making it impossible to play.

I have tried using Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode but the same things happen.

My screen has been zoomed so I only see half of the email or image. Support at yahoo said that this is a Firefox issue. I would like to"unzoom" so I can see the full screen ar one time.

I've been having this problem recently on Windows 11 with Firefox, where switching my input language to japanese (ALT + SHIFT keys) causes the browser to crash immediately. This happens about half to one third of the times I do it. It didn't happen before and I'm rather confused.

Searching on Google brought up a few similar experiences, such as this one, but the suggested fix (switching intl.tsf.enable to false on the about:config page) didn't work for me.

 2. While i'm watching youtube, doing word processing (.txt) or when i set the PC to 'Sleep' mode,
     my screen either freezes w the display or turns black.  In both cases, my mouse and keyboard
     won't work.  Thus, i have to re-boot to fix.  Even Control-Alternate-Delete won't work to get out

      Download the latest ...

     <Download> <Dismiss>

    Hey, either one of those two buttons won't stop blocking my top RH corner of the screen.  It's rediculous.
    Even after i hit <Download>, the same pop-up shows up again n again.  Same w <Dismiss>.

    Just remind me once per week.  And don't crash my PC!!!

4. There is no 'Community' info on this annoying update pop-up problem. Just stop it!

we have a web application with different web pages generated by Vaadin. Since our client updated to Firefox version 128, Firefox reliably crashes on one specific web page. Previous firefox version was 102.

Crash message: Gah. your tab just crashed

This is what we have done so far but without success: - Checked on different customer terminals (all showing same issue) - Raised RAM - Changed to troubleshoot (safe) mode - Disabled hardware acceleration - Cleared windows font cache - Checked crash reports

Currently there is no option to update firefox to a newer version.

I keep having an issue on my desktop of every new tab I open crashing. I can access the homepage, but if I put anything into the search bar, the screen goes to "Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page." And when I try to restore the page, it brings me back to that screen again. I couldn't even access Mozilla Support on my desktop to report this, I am on this site through my phone.

I get random crashes while streaming video (for example youtube). I am using a laptop with 2 GPUs (integrated AMD and dedicated Nvidia) and a secondary monitor. If the Firefox windows is on the laptop display I never get crashes but on the secondary display I get around 1-2/hour. Also, this only happens with hardware acceleration enabled in Firefox settings, if I deactivate it then the issue is gone. I think it runs on the AMD integrated graphics, based on what I see in task manager. I also have uBlock origin, haven't tried deactivating it yet. The crashses consist in a black screen from which I can only recorver by doing a hard reset.

Any suggestions on what to try?

Endless crashes, going on for months (4-5) and no sign of any fixes. As far as I'm concerned, Firefox is totally broken and I'll have to switch away. It's unusable. A crash every ten minutes.

Hello, I have ran into issues with the file upload window in firefox locking the program. I am not quite sure if I have tried uploading anything since the last update a few days ago, but it happens regardless of the website I use. It basically just freezes up as soon as it opens the file explorer window. I tried on chrome with no issues so it doesn't seem to be a windows thing as far as I can tell. I restarted my pc to see if that would help, but with no luck. I opened up task manager when this was happening to check what was going on and firefox seemed to be stuck using almost all the ram on my system 15.7 out of 16gb.

Anyone have this issue occurring in the last few days? Any thoughts on how to fix?

Audio doesn't work with Firefox. This appears to be ONLY a Firefox problem. Headphones work with Edge. Computer speakers work. In Windows settings, testing audio works. But when I attempt to listen to something in Firefox, there is no sound at all.
