My Navy Federal Credit Union did a major update to their system today 04/07/2021. After the update I was no longer prevented from logging on w/FF87.0 private window. Saw others having many problems similar to mine & you might mention to them that FF87.0 may now be more advanced than the various systems that they are not able to login to after the FF87.0 update. I was using MSEdge to access my blocked sites & almost went back to FF86.0.1.

Problems with Youtube full screen not working persist. Could be a spyware tool embedded by Google that is broken now. Not a big enough problem to force me to roll back version of FF. Saw many others were having online video problems since update. I don't have an answer for them.

Guessing as privacy protection increases our access problems will also increase as hacks, spies & adware try to battle back. Me? I like my privacy & thank Mozilla folks for their great work. God bless one & all. Stay safe.

Hi, Since we got a new printer at our workshop we have had problems with printer settings reset on both our label printer and our Normal printer.

We have set printer setting on windows and made sure they are correct.

Firefox changes our label printer settings back from lenght 50 to 296,9 and back to portrait. And when we use our label printer our normal printer changes back from landskape to potrait and from A4 to Letter. This problem started when we got a new printer, worked fine with our old printer.

Why do I see several detectportal.firefox.com running under http connections? Isn't it only for portals like wifi free access sites? see enclosed about:networking

I am trying to install a certificate that works in Chrome without problems. The error is "The PKCS #12 operation failed for unknown reasons."

How can I fix this? I have tried things like uninstall and install again but the problem persists... I am Windows 10 Pro user and I have the latest Firefox version.

I have successfully deployed and configured Firefox to my company through Intune however I was wondering if it is possible to alter the installed Desktop/Start Menu icons to a custom .ico so the end users don't associate it with a browser but thier web based application.

In Intune I can only change the deployed Company Portal app icon but cannot alter the default Desktop/Start Menu icon. I know I can do this manually for the Desktop Icon but for 1200+ users this is not fees able to do manually

Hi I recently had this problem, when i open a video (to listen to music) and open another tab to watch some gifs, the video bug multiple time for a brief delay but is little bit annoying, i never had this problem before, i made some research and followed some steps.. i couldn't resolve the problem: - cleared the cache - refresh the page - launch Firefox on Save Mode - Force youtube to use H.264 _ installed this add-ons : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1245735 - reduced the performance (use less memory/cores) _ disable hardware acceleration.

Since version 68 it is not possible to start Firefox in minimized mode in the taskbar. Do you have a solution please? With shortcut property = no résult With a batch file = no résult I am using Windows 10 and last version of firefox (87.0) Thanks

I'm not quite sure what causes this, but I have reinstalled firefox, cleared cache, but everytime I try to open any sort of links (while firefox is closed) It simply gets stuck and does nothing, and I am forced to close it via task manager.

This is my version of a Firefox usability review for 2021.

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro, on new hardware, and run identical add-ons and extensions in both Firefox and Chrome most recent versions (auto-update).

For the last few years about 10% of all websites I visit weekly have some kind of functionality that does not work in Firefox, but does work in Chrome. This forces users (at least me) in to the arms of another browser, because Chrome *always* works.

Today, I couldn't lookup a license key on Kaspersky's website due to a 'Cross-Origin Request Blocked:' error. Result was; key not found. Switching to Chrome, I had my key in seconds. This kind of problem happens A LOT.

I get frustrated because either the security level of Firefox is insanely high and unforgiving, or Chrome is completely unsafe. But we know that's not true either. Why am I safe in Chrome, but not in Firefox when viewing the exact same web pages? My anti-virus isn't enough?

As websites lean more and more heavily on scripts, Firefox becomes more and more unusable for me.

To be clear, I am a network admin who has been experiencing these security SNAFU's in Firefox that require switching to Chrome in order to compete registration, fill out some forms, or access some kind of AJAX type info or CDN files, that is extremely frustrating when you don't want to use Google's spy tool, Chrome.

I DO appreciate the Firefox browser, and its developers. This is just an FYI - no reply needed.

Just added New Tab Version 1 to Firefox version 72.0.2 with DuckDuckGo as Search Engine and default page.

When I call for a new tab I get the message - "Access to the File Was Denied" and "The file at moz-extension://7b4a03b3-0438-454e-bf65-9629bce7ae58/newtab.html is not readable."

However, if I then click on the Firefox Home Page Icon (little house icon) I get straight to the Home Page with the search function available.

Anyone know why I get this interim error message, or why I don't get transferred straight to the Home Page?

after a firefox update my titlebar buttons are just white and I cant change it, even tried reinstalling and completely removing the folder in %appdata% but it still didn't work and it's really annoying.

After one of the last FF updates, I noticed that I no longer needed to enter my Primary (Master) password to sync or access my logins or site passwords. After a bit of checking, I found that in FF/Tools/Options/Privacy & Security... My "Use Primary Password" box was unchecked! Was I hacked? I use full-time Malwarebytes (licensed) along with Win10 Security (which are suppose to play nice together; and have for years). I never received any indication of an issue from either app. Multiple (full) scans came back clean.

Or was this an inadvertent change caused by one of the later FF updates?

Btw, I use the same W10 and FF on several other machines, with virtually the same setup; none of which experienced this issue.

I'm using the latest FF 87.0 64bit in Win 10 Home. I launched FF to a blank tab only, and see the following messages in the console listed below, too advance for me to understand. Also when I add uBlock Origin, it blocks the telemetry data, see the errors below also. Even if I allow access to uBlock, it'll still block telemetry data. For the sake of security, I've changed my browser signature info to 1234 in all the strings below.

What do they mean? Do I need to reset my FF?

After installed some expired certs on a server in house, I try and bring up a management page that worked fine prior. The error is: The server presented a certificate that contains an invalid encoding of an integer. Common causes include negative serial numbers, negative RSA moduli, and encodings that are longer than necessary.

Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_INVALID_INTEGER_ENCODING

How can this be worked around, a setting of some sort maybe?

Since a few months, I have noticed a nasty issue with pasting on some websites.

For example, when I try to paste text in the body with CTRL/CMD+V on the web interface of my email provider (mailbox.org), the cursor is moved to the end of the message but no text is copied. Right-click > paste does work, and no issue for the recipient and subject fields. The issue is only when writing emails in HTML; plain text works fine. Another example, when editing a protocol on protocols.io, hitting CTRL/CMD+V leads to a blank page, which needs to be refreshed (but the text has not been pasted). There is no option to do it via right-click > paste there. Same issue when submitting a manuscript on PCI Paleontology.

All these examples are specific to Firefox (I have the latest version installed); it is reproducible both on macOS 10.15 and Win10. It doesn't seem to be due to add-ons (I tried to deactivate them one by one and nothing changed). There is no problem with Chrome-based browsers (e.g. Iridium) or Safari.

Is it maybe some configuration or something? Any idea?
