I do not have any mobile device to sync with Firefox. HOWEVER, I would like to sync with Outlook.com from Microsoft. Centurylink my ISP provider was off-line for quite a while so they could create a better email program and when they finally came back online, last week, there were a list of things in computer language that I am supposed to do but do not understand. Like you, whenever I want to ask a question I have to send it via email then the response is the same thing listed in their instructions, NO HELP at all. Now, on a daily basis, I am receiving emails from Microsoft Outlook stating "Please update your credentials for the account Rhonda89@q.com." "It looks like we don't have permission to get email for Rhonda89@q.com."

The daily emails from Microsoft Outlook started on October 24, 2022, about the time Centurylink Email came back on line, I think. They did not send any messages advising us of this. I happened to find the information when I looked for it online.

I am still attempting to reach someone at Centurylink for help...lol

In the meantime, is there anything you can do to assist in this endeavour.

Thank you, Rhonda Caywood

Today I downloaded the latest Firefox upgrade and got a flaming orange toolbar which is difficult to read. Troubleshooting the issue by browsing the internet, I tried several things I don't remember, and also clicked on the DuckDuckGo privacy tab when that option came up. I was unable to change the color of the tab but then suddenly got a gray screen with all gray tabs. There is no color.

It is not a Microsoft issue, as I have tried rebooting several times and always get a color screen at the reboot. But when the page starts loading, all the icons are gray. I tried a system restore but after a long reboot got a message that the restore was unsuccessful because apparently blocked by my security software (Webroot). The advice was to temporarily disable Webroot but when I go into my apps, the only option is to uninstall and I am hesitant to do that because I don't know if I can quickly reinstall it without having to call Webroot customer service.

At this point I can't figure out what to do. Can you help without my having to reset everything? I always keep a lot of windows open which is one feature I like about Firefox, and really don't want to have to reconstruct all those pages.

I will appreciate your help in solving this problem, which I think is a software issue and possibly related to some things I might have clicked while trying to change the toolbar color.

Hello there,

I have changed my default browser from Chrome to Firefox because of the "v3 chains".

I can´t get rid of the 4-5 px Border around my windows Browser frame. It reflects somehow parts of the onscreen-content... in the images you can see the YT-video that I was watching. It is pretty anoying... I tried some changes but nothing seems to work. I use the dark-theme in Windows-designs and dark theme in FF-Themes..

Yeah, it is one of these very little things that makes me wanna cut my screen with a chainsaw on the edges. Does anyone have a fix 4 that, plz?

stay borderless.

I wrote earlier about the slowness in my computer that sometimes forces me to restart it that's happened ever since I added the Firefox Private Browsing Feature.

I was asked about my security and I said I use Norton 360. I've also added Norton anti-tracker. Could that be causing the problem?

Thank you.

I recently added the Firefox Private Browsing feature and I believe I made a mistake. Since then my computer often slows to a crawl and I have to restart it to get it to function normally. I wish to delete the Firefox Private Browsing feature to end any burden it may be on my computer. I do mean delete and not disable.

How can I remove the Firefox Private Browsing feature?

Sincerely,

Michael Brandt [email removed from public]

I have a scraping application that uses Firefox to read finance variables in certain web pages every minute. It's implemented as an addon with content script and background script. The content script refreshes the page once a minute, waits for the DOM to finish building, and then reads the values in the table. It sends these values to a webserver.

I have made it work, but at a cost. My first problem was that the DOM isn't built in tabs that are out of focus. I mean, when I click on another tab and the content script refreshes the page that is now inactive the new DOM isn't built and there is nothing for the script to read. I solved this by running the app in a separate Firefox window. Blurred windows don't behave like that.

But there is another problem: When the screen goes black because I haven't pressed a key for some minutes Firefox again stops working. It's evidently made for interactive use and not very automation friendly. I solved this by configuring the power settings never to let the screen go black.

Now it works, but these ad hoc solutions are not satisfactory. What's the proper way to do this? Can I put FF in non-interactive mode somehow? On about:config there are a zillion properties that can be set and I assume something can be done there, but I need somebody in the know to guide me. Is it enough to order all tabs to run in separate processes? What about the screen blackout problem?

I recently had to restore my computer. Doing that I have to get the new firefox which I now have version 102. Updates disabled instantly. I was on version 88. On version 88 this feature was not on it and version 102 now has this feature and I do not like it.

The feature I am talking about is if you open the downloads panel and view the downloads list and right click on one of the downloaded files in list there is now an option to Delete. I accidentlly hit this and thought it was just deleting it from downloads panel. Nope it deletes it from computer permanently, not even to recycle bin. Click Delete its gone for good until download it again.

And this delete option is right above the option remove from history, which I use a lot.

So I want to know how to disable this delete option? Thanks

HP 17" laptop with Windows 10, Firefox v105.0.1, MSN home page (have had it for years}: "Crash" or "Hang"?

When opening second or third tab (following news/magazine articles), I will get three or four "tops of a pages" and cannot exit. Mouse unresponsive. No error messages. Display will flicker during and after getting completely off of internet. Before this, display is fine. To get out, I go to my email tab and open a new tab then exit unresponsive tabs.

This all started a couple of days after a "another" Microsoft update. I uninstalled the last update but that did not help. I then searched for all available Microsoft updates and down loaded three of them.... no improvement to the issue. Ran PC Matic scan but no improvement. Several restarts during these actions.

I'm not a computer guy so any fix needs to be simple. Should I just uninstall Firefox and reinstall? I do have some add-ons but can't remember what they are. Will cross that bridge when necessary.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
