Hi,

I have 2 online stores built using Wordpress, both use the same theme, 'Storefront' and both using Woocommerce. The site with the issue, I am using a child theme.

Today I noticed the credit card input box on the checkout page is missing on the site with the child theme - the input fields aren't loading at all. (see screenshot) The issue only happens on Firefox and Firefox mobile. Everything displays on Chrome and Edge browsers.

I have deactivated all other plugins and checked after each one to see if the problem persists - it does. I have also tried using the Twenty Twnety-one theme to see if that makes a difference - it does not.

The site has previously been working and all boxes / input fields have been displaying properly until today.

If I inspect the element using FF console the document within the iframe is missing. Yet, when I use the console via Chrome or Edge it isn't (as expected becasue it displays on both browsers).

Any ideas as to why this behavour, will be appreciated - thanks.

Regards,

NOTE: I am using; Windows 7 / Android 8.0 FF 96.0.1 Chrome 97.0.4692.71 Edge 97.0.1072.62

I've tried a few things to fix it - virus scan, resetting systems to previous date before the updates, etc. Nothing has fixed this.

Firefox is constantly removing safe extensions, re-approving them, then removing them again a couple days later. This is very frustrating, and is enough to make me permanently switch to Google Chrome, since they don't do this, and since I have to use that browser when Firefox messes with these extensions. I have been a stalwart Firefox user for years, but Firefox is pushing people like me away with this ridiculous behavior.

The best example is LastPass. Chrome seems to think it's perfectly safe, as it is not removing it. I use it and need it to be available for sites I need passwords for.

Unfortunately, however, Firefox regularly removes this essential extension and others, then, as I say, allows it again a day or two later, then removes it again.

Please, Firefox, figure this out! Otherwise, you're going to lose a lot of users and get a very bad reputation.

Firefox is an excellent browser. I use it on all of my devices.

Is there a way to save the current tab to a URL file on the Windows (Version 7 and 10) file system. I realize you can do that by dragging the URL from the Firefox URL list box to the file folder but for various reasons I was hoping that it would also be possible as one of the choices from the Menu (as in "\File\Save Page As").

If that is possible I have another question.

In a Windows file folder with a number of URL files, can I select a number of those files and right-click the selected files and have them all loaded on to Firefox simultaneously.

I know that this worked with a single URL file in a Windows file folder (by Double Clicking it) but I have not been able to find a way to do it with a group of selected URLs in a Windows file folder.

Both of the above were available in the old (now no longer functional) IExplorer from Microsoft.

None of this is critical but I was just curious.

Thanks.

How do I reset to white and sync them on all my devices?

FIX what seem to be CLEAR conflicts with relationship between platform and user's device (desktop, Dell Optiplex 790 in my case - that do NOT occur with Opera, otherwise) as WELL as aforementioned ATROCIOUS performance quality - BTW, this is the SECOND update / upgrade I've done in LESS than a WEEK.....

My C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp folder fills up with Firefox update folders called "MozillaBackgroundTask{numberletterstring}", a new one of which appears every 7 hours (except when computer is off because I changed the Update setting after this issue started so the "Allow Firefox to automatically install updates" has the "when Firefox is not running" unchecked). Every day I delete the previous day's folders. This is annoying. It started within the last month. I don't use Firefox as my default browser. This only happens on my Windows 7 Pro laptop, not on my Windows 10 laptop. Can anyone tell me why this has started happening and how to stop these files keep accumulating please?

Thunderbird-emails with links. Links won't open w Firefox. issue is only 2 weeks old. Have been using this setup for about 10 years.

System 7;

  • Tools say Firefox is update.
  • Webroot says no malware issues.
  • I shut down computer.
  • I ran an Firefox refresh
  • I restarted computer
  • Crash report popup was filled out many times. It says report was filed.

I just received yet another popup: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window. I only have one version of Firefox.

I prefer to talk to technicians.

Update: This issue doesn't relate to "Mail to" when firefox is open. This relates to open emails with links. Links won't open. None of the suggested hints apply.
