I use a master password in Firefox password manager to protect log-in details. Yet I have heard that add-ons have full access to passwords and other data. Is that true?

I use Linux Lite, Ubuntu-based (a very nice OS, by the way).

Completely out of the blue about 15 minutes ago, Firefox stopped autofilling my passwords.

My passwords are still saved in saved logins under Firefox preferences, but that's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about logging into a website and my password field isn't automatically filled anymore for any websites. And I don't don't know why!

I've restarted my browser, emptied cache, restarted my computer, and downloaded the latest version of Firefox, but nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Even with the check in the box to remember, Firefox will not remember user name or password for any web site I log into. It will ask me if I want it to remember, to which I click remember. but it never show's up in my Saved Password List, and it never remembers user name or password.

I have followed the support links and went over in detail multiple times.

This is a new setup, on windows 10 pro and FF 43, Vipre internet security. I did look at vipre but didnt see anything about saving passwords in a browser. Edge, and Chrome will remember them. Just firefox wont. so it dont appear to be an outside force causing the problem.

I tried setting a master password. it remembered that, but didnt change anything. so I removed the master password.

Going from ESR to regular firefox bookmarks and saved passwords are gone. Import does'nt have an option to import from ESR version. How do I get my bookmarks and saved passwords back?

So after a recent update on my firefox Dev Edition (42.0a2) it wiped my browser without my knowledge and transferred 'old' information to an "Old Firefox" folder on my desktop. I've gotten some of it back but my saved passwords won't transfer. I copy the files from the old folder into my directory but it doesn't show up in browser, nor do any of the passwords autocomplete.

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1 Firefox version: 56.0 (64-bit)

I could see logins.json file available at this location C:\Users\am250285\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\2htmyw1m.default-1502719430944 It has contents, but Firefox showing no saved passwords. Even it is not asking to save password now, when I am entering credentials on a web page!

I recently upgrade my PC, and my old system hard disk is placed as slave in my new PC. Having signons3.txt, key3, and signons.sqlite files from the old firefox, how can i import the saved passwords into the new firefox 41.0?

I installed Firefox Nightly (56.0a1 (2017-07-22) (64-bit)) and enabled sync for bookmarks and passwords. Bookmarks were synced correctly, but not the passwords.

I can see a the file logins.json in my profile folder, with the logins content. But if I go to Preferences->Security->Saved Logins the list is empty. Also, logins form field are not auto filled.

None content was imported manually. Nightly somehow synced and downloaded the logins.json, but apparently it's not using it.

I already did this exact same process (reinstall in new machine + sync) without any problem, except for this time/version. May it be a bug?

I already tried some forum solutions: connect/reconnect account; delete signedInUser.json; restarting; etc. Everytime the logins.json is correctly fetched from the web with the content, or the bookmarks are synced correctly, but Nightly apparently is not 'using' the contents of this file.

Hello Firefox! somehow you've made it so that my login information isn't held at forums.pelicanparts.com, a web forum that I go to and participate in at least 10 times per day if not 20. I can't keep reentering my username and password, csubmitting and then having to go back to where I am supposed to be. Make a workaround that I can turn your insecure warning system off for this site. I am sure it's a much needed system but also there are a ton of people that are fine with insecure passwords. Please send me a way to fix this ASAP. Thank you!

I have all passwords and log in info saved to firefox so it wil auto fill in usernames and passwords.

PROBLEM: On several sites ,even though it has all the info saved,and shows it in "saved logins",it refuses to enter anything in the username space making it immpossible to log into sites without doing it manually. Once I enter the username it fills in the passwords but this is just not acceptable and makes the browser useless to me as it makes everything a huge hasle just to log into a site.

Is there anyway to fix this besides going back to chrome???

I have looked at the information for having my password remembered, but the box asking me if I would like for Firefox to remember it never shows up. I am probably missing something very simple, but I am not sure what it is!

While i am trying to login on https://www.ticktick.com firefox is not prompting for saving username and password.

I have my firefox account on 2 computers. In one of the two, I've suddenly lost all my saved passwords. I noticed that after a firefox update, there's an extra installation folder (now at C:\Program Files(x86) and the "old" installation was at C:\Program Files. How do I copy the saved passwords file from one folder to another? By the way, all my saved passwords are shown perfectly on the other computer... is there a way to migrate them?

I'm using windows 7. Firefox version 44.ob1 when I go to options/security to look at my usernames, I no longer have the option to show passwords. they now show up as blacked out dots along the same line. Is this working correctly?
