Suddenly I cannot search from the search bar. It defaults to the address bar. why "fix" something that was not broken. Being forced to use the address bar is frustrating. If you go directly to the address bar, it tells you it cannot find that site.

I would like to remove the search options from the address bar because I preferred the old setup with a separate search window (and the address bar was just unable to perform searches). How can I set this up?

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . K.

I don't understand. Firefox is eating up memory again in the latest versions, and on top of that, it's the GPU on my PC.

4GB for the app and up to 8GB.

In last few days I really have a big problem with trying to browse with my favorite browser Firefox. It is that cursor always goes to address bar instead of search bar when I am trying to surf the web. I tried all the fixes that I found online with changing things in about:config still with no solution.

I am running on Windos 11 and using latest Firefox version.

Right, it's bit hard to explain this but I'll try. I often right click on text to search google for it, but also just google stuff regularly. What happens is, after the new tab opening and I move to different tab from that google search, it forces me back to that tab. It usually happens right after opening that tab and just waiting few seconds and then switching tabs will "fix" it but it also randomly switches me to open google search from before after minutes have passed for no reason. This started happening few months ago but as I've been using less and less of my pc it hasn't been TOO much of an issue, but as I am starting to use it more again it is driving me insane. I can try to video it, I tried searching but couldn't find same behavior mentioned anywhere. Not sure what I can try to fix this.

tldr: moving from new google search tab changes tabs on itself and forces google search one to be focused, usually right after opening but sometimes after some time has passed too.

The problem that is occurring with Firefox is one website American Airlines, I can not log in to my account with Firefox, however Chrome has no problem logging in. Running Windows 11 up to date Firefox 147.03 64 bit. below is the error message I get Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.aa.com/homePage.do" on this server.

После включения ПК бывает, что я не могу ввести текст в браузере.(как буд-то включается режим только для чтения, что не позволяет текст ввести). горячие клавиши работают, но текст не вводиться только в браузере. Оно само по себе проходит. Как это исправить?

Why is firefox blocking the paypal popup??? I've tried all the solutions to get it to work, but it still does not work.

Went into Settings/Privacy & Security/Permissions, Block pop-ups and third-party redirects is selected, but I've added http://paypal.com and https://paypal.com to the exceptions

ich habe ein Problem. Beim gestrigen Hochfahren meines Rechners und Start von Firefox war meine ganze Struktur weg.

Tabs und Gruppen waren futsch und somit wurden alle darin gespeicherten Seiten ohne Struktur angezeigt. :-(

Wie kann ich die Gruppen wieder öffnen?

Online habe ich hierzu nichts gefunden.

I have a machine I've been using for months and haven't got around to archiving the history and tabs for some research I was doing. I realized this could be problematic if anything happened to the machine, so I decided to sign-in to my Mozilla/Firefox account I made years ago, so it would be safely sync'd.

Everything was fine at first, it showed it was syncing and whatnot, but then after several minutes, Firefox crashed. Upon relaunching, ALL of my history is gone! Neither signed-in nor signed-out shows any history at all, except the searches I've done just now trying to undo this mess. Did I really just loose months of history due to some bug or is there a way I can manually restore or see it from the mess of cache/profile files on my machine?

Ubuntu user, so will be at ~/ or similar for most things I assume.

It displays fine in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. My main browser is Firefox. Is there something wrong with my Firefox settings? firefox 147.0.3 64Bit

After it updated to 147.0.3 it says that it is not compatibile with miniversion 147.0.2 nor with maxiversion 147.0.2. It suggests re installing (done) so can now at least access Mozilla again but still says at varying times not compatible etc. It is Windows 10 Any suggestions?
