Can't log on to x.com. Getting this message: "Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com".

I added x.com and twitter.com as an exception in Settings/Enhanced Tracking Protection and still not working.

What the heck firefox???

I had to restore Windows to its initial settings. I lost all my programs because of this, including Firefox. I reinstalled the browser, logged in to my account (which is synchronized), but instead of recovering all my bookmarks I got nothing. Empty bookmark box. What's worse, they were initially available on the mobile device, but they were also deleted there (both from the browser and from the smartphone). Firefox restored history, add-ons, but not bookmarks. Is there any way to recover these bookmarks?

I reset Windows yesterday to attempt to fix a problem with my computer. After redownloading Firefox and signing into a few basic things (including my Mozilla account), I realised all my logins were gone. I have followed the steps in [[this tutorial|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1310179]] but it didn't work - I think saving logins in this instance of Firefox overwrote the other logins file, as when I opened it, it only had the login info from what I logged into after I reset.

Looking at my connected services, it seems the instance of Firefox from before I reset is still open. I mention this just because it's possible that this would contribute to a solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have a number of securely generated passwords and cannot access a good deal of my accounts.

I want to transfer all my bookmarks to another pc. I select export to HTML file and save to a flash drive. I insert the flash drive into the second pc then select 'import and backup' and 'import bookmark from HTML' . Then select the Bookmark.HTML on the flash drive and 'Open'. But no bookmarks ever appear anywhere that I can find. How can I get the bookmarks?

Hi, it has been a while that one of the updates on firefox removed the ability to navigate using the middle click, i waited and waited for some day an update drop and fix that but it's been a while and nothing has come, i was sure to test this on another computer and it didn't worked as well so i'm pretty sure firefox has some problems, i mainly use a drawing tablet because i don't have a mouse, so navigating is a bit hard without the usual middle click nagivation(i'm not sure if there is an actual name to that), please help

I would like to force spellcheck for all websites, and override any HTML code from the websites. which may be disabling it. This should be done automatically and not by inspecting and manually altering the HTML. I consulted with ChatGPT and tried adding some code to my existing userChrome.css but it is having no effect, even after clearing cache and restarting Firefox. For instance, faxzero.com has a form with spellcheck disabled. I tinkered with the CSS and kept testing faxzero, but the spellcheck always remains disabled. How can I accomplish my goal?

Recently I used the forgot about this site for reddit, but when I try to click on a link from either my bookmarks or from a web search I keep on getting. When I open Firefox and call up bing maps , it starts to load the page , then Firefox crashes . Has been doing this for several firefox versions . As the title says, it is very slow with Ublock Origin. I have refreshed Firefox and without Ublock it obviously works but I would like to keep the extension because it is the only one that works with Youtube Ads right now.

since the last update, the shortcut keys to highlight a word at a time left OR right are both highlighting the next word AND also jumping to the last tab. AGAIN! I noticed this was identified as a problem back around 2019 in a search. I now cannot move fluidly within text, nor highlight a word at a time quickly. Either it's whole line or simply a letter at a time... which results in a pretty incompetent, crippling experience. PLEASE FIX!!

I'd like to obtain some clarity on provenance aspects of Firefox released as a Flatpak.

I see in this article that one of the options is to use flatpak package: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

Is this article produced / reviewed by mozilla? Is flatpak an officially trusted, backed by mozilla, means of installing firefox on a system?

On flathub one can observe the "Verified" seal which indicates that such package is developed and maintained by original package developers (in case Mozilla). One can also observe in multiple forums here and there that mozilla is the one that builds and maintain this package.

Though a seal is nice, and users opinions are ok, it would be good to have artifacts that would evidence better this relationship. Also, would be good to have this officially stated in mozilla's website, under "Download options and other languages" section, something like "you can also safely install firefox through the flatpak package available on flathub which is developed / maintained / signed by mozilla itself".

Or maybe all of this information is around and i am just not able to link it together.

I tried redownloading Firefox after I saw that i was unable to download any extenstions/add-ons. Anytime i try to download something from the firefox browser, the download fails or gets cancelled. I never changed any settings, how can i fix this?
