I have LastPass extension active in my Firefox browser, however it does not work. When opening my Firefox browser the LastPass icon in the upper right corner remains black with 3 white dots, not functioning. On other browsers the LastPass icon turns red, functioning. How can I get the LastPass to function? I have been forced to use Edge as my primary browser where I prefer to use Firefox. Please help.

How do I block autoplay vedio?

I know I can block Audio and Video, but I just want to block autoplay video. As if I use the block audio and video it will mute all videos I open, and I need to unmute it every time. I just want autoplay to not start, not mute the video too.

I am not happy. For years now I have been using Firefox problem free on my one and only laptop, running on Windows. Today, my streak was broken and the source of my unhappiness is that my usual Firefox password is not being accepted. Before continuing, (a) I am no computer whiz, totally self-taught by a really sketchy individual...ME ! (b) I have done nothing to cause or contribute to this problem. Powered up, was asked for my password (one and only I use ) typed it in...and NOTHING....ZIP....ZILCH ! Few things piss me off more than simple things not working for no apparent reason, like a password, that has ALWAYS WORKED FINE. (c) I am already unhinged by a number of things, the pandemic, Putin's War, the economy, living as a pauper and more. Because of that and a few more things, I am ready to put Mozilla Firefox in my rear view mirror......and carry on with the recommendations present when I first bought thus unit. (hint-Using Firefox was NOT one of those recommendations). btw I thought it was a nice touch by Lenovo to install a rear view mirror on my refurbed Lenovo T430s....I BET NOBODY ELSE HAS ONE ! Be that as it may, and help out there as to how and why my password would just stop working? AND, if someone can offer help in answering that, how about throwing in a QUICK FIX....or a SLOW FIX ....OR ANY FIX..... Thank you Brothers and Sisters of The Universe. I've been using Dashlane for a long while. It stopped working, so I deleted it to try to solve the problem. When I tried to re-install it, it won't work. I just keep getting an error about it being corrupted. I've restarted the computer, closed Firefox. It's the same. Dashlane tried to trouble shoot with me, but they have not solved it either. It worked on Google Chrome, but I cannot get it to work on Firefox. Firefox is my browser! I need help to get Dashlane installed and working on it.

I upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 22.04 and am running FireFox 102.01 (64-bit) now.

I noticed that (by default, at least) the FireFox titlebar has disappeared. What would have been its contents are shown on the tab-label, though I usually have enough tabs open that only a few letters of the title are visible.

That being said, about 75% of the space is empty on the Menu Bar, which only lists File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help Why not show the page title in a pane on the right-end (or middle) of the Menu Bar?

Firefox 102esr has almost every menu, popup and screen in dark mode - which I find extremely difficult to read, given I'm antique.

I've tried all the modes like light, system etc nothing seems to fix it.

Am I going to need a stack of css code to fix it - code for each and everything I want to set back to light, or is there a setting to achieve this?

I am constantly annoyed by the ever present "notification" to update Firefox to the latest version. There is no easy way to get rid of the nagging notice. PLEASE NOTE ::: I DID DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE MY PC TO THE NEWEST VERSION WHICH DID NOT LIKE AT ALL !!!!

So, I returned to the latest version I had been using and all is well. EXCEPT : I AM CONSTANTLY NAGGED TO UPDATE. WHICH I DID, DID NOT LIKE, AND DO NOT PLAN T DO IT AGAIN.

You need to add an option for user like me who have done what you asked and did not care for the result. IF YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL LEAVE, PERHAPS YOU ARE RIGHT ... IF YOU GIVE THEM THAT CHOICE. I PREFER TO SEE THE CHOICE TO KEEP WHAT i HAVE AND NOT GIVE IN TO THE LATEST WHIM. On this page with an Atari emulator, I am unable to use its controls that use the Alt key, such as Alt+P to pause.

It works with another browser, or with a fresh profile.

I've tried disabling add-ons and trying it again, but it fails even after disabling each of them. It also doesn't even work in troubleshooting mode, and that seems kinda odd?

It may be some modified settings in my Firefox profile? Though if it is, I don't know what settings, nor how to fix it. What sorts of settings are retained even in troubleshooting mode?

I was checking to make sure I was using the correct version of Firefox browser. I ended up on a page that stated "It looks like you haven’t started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" It went on to ask if I would like to Refresh Firefox, just like it was brand new.

In the Menu option on any Firefox page I can get on it states: "Account Disconnected". I have been using Firefox just about every day for 3 years. What is going on. I didn't dare click on the "Refresh Firefox" tab because I have no idea what will happen. Will I lose everything, bookmarks, settings, etc.?

I use FF all day, every day and recently it stopped automatically logging me into my account when I open the browser. I've read through the other posts on this topic and tried everything from creating a new profile to changing the History settings. Unfortunately, none of the solutions provided have worked. I know it's only one password to type in and then my profile is synced and it retrieves my bookmarks, saved logins, etc. but it's very annoying to have to do.

Does anyone else have any other potential solutions?

I was having an issue where FF wouldn't restore my tabs on start. "Recently closed tabs" wasn't available, and when choosing "recently closed windows," 2 - 4 new windows would open, along with one which had the previous session tabs.

I noticed in the task manager that FF wasn't actually closing, so I started using "exit" in the FF menu. Now, even after a computer reboot, when I start FF I see a number of windows open and close quickly, along with a identical "copy" of my windows taskbar sliding in from the left to the right, and "replacing" the current one. I had to record my screen to be sure that's what I was seeing. After the "extra" windows flash open and closed, the FF window with the previous session tabs "slides in" with the "new" windows taskbar.

This does not seem normal to me, as my Windows taskbar has never move before unless I moved it. I'd also like to be able close FF without exiting through the menu, or having to reopen and close several windows if I forget to. This behavior is the same in when I start in safe mode as well. I've never synced FF, or signed for that, and I ran malwarebytes and gotten nothing. Is something wrong here?

I use Yahoo mail within Firefox. Just recently it has changed so that if I select the download option, to download any attachment to an email, it will either open (if say a PDF) or ask me where I want to save the attachment, but then the tab the Yahoo mail is open in will close once the attachment has opened/saved. Before, I could download/open/save or whatever and the Yahoo mail tab would remain open (as I would expect it to).

since the last firefox update I am not able to visit the german Amazon Seller Central website anymore. I have no knowlegde in how to solve this issue and that is why I am asking for your support.

The link to the website is: https://sellercentral.amazon.de/ Whenever I want to visit the site, I get the error "HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request" (see attached image).

I already checked with amazon themselves, but they said the issue lies within my computer. My IT department said the issue is related to the browser most likely; and indeed, with Microsoft Edge for example, I am able to open the website.

Does anyone know this error and even better knows how to solve the problem?

When I try to log in to websites, three different usernames are prompted. One is my correct Gmail address, one is my correct mobile phone number, and the third is my correct Gmail address with 'joseph' appended in the case of Firefox, but 'busy' in the case of Chrome. How can I delete that corrupted prompt from Firefox ?

First experienced: Friday, Sept 2, when using burpsuite/foxyproxy during a hackerone CTF.

When using other Vbox instances on the same computer I have the same issue. This issue is usually easy to duplicate when using dev-tools or by simply doing an image search and moving the mouse across the images.

Crashes have seem to involve input from the mouse and scroll function within the browser. Once, let us call it a glitch, the crash can either take place while continually moving the mouse around the browser's page or immediately outside the page with the mouse. The "glitch" is a coloration, usually pink or lime-green with characters printed to screen and then disappears. I have been unable to predict when the glitch will happen, thus no screenshot to help.

Steps I have taken:

Googled on the problem which led me to learn about the Firefox about:crashes function.

Viewed about:crashes -- seems to be a Renderer issue linked to llvmpipe or Mesa?

Checked basic system logs for host and guest for anything evident: syslog, kern, Xorg, messages, dmesg, daemon, journalctl.

Used Firefox troubleshooting and extended troubleshooting.

Installed Firefox 104 with same issue.

Reinstalled VirtualBox.

Search on Firefox Renderer issue [from crash report]

     I turned off performance settings, still have same crash issue.

Last Report ID that did not fail to upload: bp-740acc47-0ed4-44a8-851c-ff21b0220905

Ultimately, I am unsure if this is a Firefox, VirtualBox, or Kali Linux issue, but Firefox is the one that this issue is having a severe impact on. My head is spinning at this moment due to all the logs and information I have digested over the weekend.

I appreciate any efforts in helping me decipher what is going on!

Hello, I just built a new PC and have a fresh install of Firefox.

As seen in the image, the default 'search' that I type into the address bar is trying to go to a webpage (the web/globe icon) I would like it to default to search, (like the magnifying glass icon), rather than having to press the down arrow to get to it.

I had this functionality on the old computer. Curious how to get it back. Thank you.

Trying to print license from State of Georgia website as required on "renewal" page and Firefox is not allowing. Not sure how to enable this process. Please help.

I am a new Firefox user. From the very beginning I am having such an issue: macOS has "Now Playing" item in the top of the screen where the menu bar is located, but Firefox does not work properly with it. The only interaction is available is Play/Pause. However, Chrome and Safari work well with this menu bar item, I can both see the timeline and rewind the video. For some reason it does not work in Firefox.

I should say that the problems also occur while using the touch bar. There is also a "Now Playing" item and there is also the only interaction available.

You can see in the picture I added that the time dash does not even move while the video is playing. The problem is the same on any sources.

I am using Apple Silicon version btw.
