I'm running the latest version of Firefox on Win 11 64 bit.

In looking through settings, I noticed that DNS over HTTPS, which is set to the Cloudflare default, is inactive and giving the error (NS_ERROR_NET_INTERRUPT). Using NextDNS is fine.

The problem is not unique to FF, as another Chrome-based browser has the same problem, and I have switched that to OpenDNS.

I have been through all the possible causes and diagnostics for Cloudflare not working (firewall, running FF in safe mode etc.) but can't see anything.

However, I did download the Cloudflare desktop application, and when this is running in background, the Cloudflare DNS/HTTPS settings work perfectly in both FF and the other browser.

Whilst I can of course keep using the other DNS providers, I'd prefer Cloudflare, but I don't really want to have yet another app running and consuming resources, which would be the case with Cloudflare.

If anyone has any suggestions for why Cloudflare isn't working, or how to fix it, I'd welcome them. I have searched high and low for more information, both here and elsewhere, but if such exists, I haven't found it.

Hello if i enter proxy and ip address in firefox in Manual proxy configuration section then when i open a website its asks for username and password my question is can proxy owner see my data and i am using https websites like post data ?

I am trying to login to email service tuta.com. Due to malicious actors, the site is being blocked by Firefox when it should NOT be. Malicious actors have made false reports to create a DDOS on Tuta. When I try to connect to the site I get this message: "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue"

How do I tell Firefox to stop blocking this site as there is NOT a security issue.

Until I installed the latest update (136.0.1) I could open Firefox and navigate, never having to log into PW manager until I came to a site where I had to log in and use a saved PW. I have many sites where my login is remembered, and I don't have to log in, so this isn't needed most of the time.

Now EVERY time I open Firefox that request for my primary PW pops up and I have to hit CANCEL twice to clear it before I can to anything. It's an annoying pain in the tush.

How do I turn this off, or set it so that that pops up ONLY when I have to log into a site?

when managing an extension, you describe all the things it can do such as read anything on your computer. But you never say what the consequences might be, such as stealing or selling your info. Why don't you tell the reader what the consequences might be?

Using firefox 148, when I select the "CIRA Canadian shield" DNS over HTTPS option it does not work. If I select the other 2 options Cloudflare or NextDNS those options work.

What is the problem with DOH for CIRA option ?

so each time i set my network to manual proxy configuration, the browser wont load searches and still can't intercept request on burp suite. i have imported the certificate,and added foxy proxy add-on . Note that i was able to do all of this few months ago and it suddenly stopped working. i was seeing a message that says invalid peer certificate signature

Trying to enable NextDNS for DNS over HTTP but it shows as not active (TRR_PARENTAL_CONTROL). I do not have any parental controls enabled on this device so im not sure whats causing this isssue.

Around 12/28/2024 my LastPass Password Manager extension dropped off my Firefox. When I tried to reinstall nothing happens except the flashing dots, which just go on. The LassPass extension does work on my Chrome browser (only used as a backup, Firefox using Duckduckgo rules)

Steps I have taken. Relaunched firefox. Rebooted laptop Deleted all Lastpass cookies. Did a firefox refresh. Tried to install older version of lastpass, they download but won't let me add.

Hi, I used to see the HTTPS designation in the Firefox address bar, but no longer see it lately. It does appear in the Edge address bar.
