I have read through all 3 of the following posts linked below on this issue, and cant make it out.

I am trying to move the find bar to the top of firefox. Tried the really long codes suggested, and the short ones. Yes, I enabled "true" in the config settings. Added the chrome folder and text file, I think in the right section. Restarted firefox lots of times upon each code I tried, still not working.

So I've noticed that after putting my computer to sleep, upon return Firefox will be unable to load any videos from seemingly any site. The temporary solution to this is to reset my computer as sign offs, locks or returning to sleep do not clear the issue. I've tested on different browsers/sites and can confirm that this is exclusive to firefox. I have booted firefox in troubleshoot mode, cleared my history and given the sites time to load with no luck on any of them.

Is there a solution to this?

tell me how to undo the "More from Mozilla" in about:preferences. I have NO idea.

I try, but I am usually confused by these help articles.

I have been having with YouTube for a couple of days. It asks to turn off ad blockers. I have done so and it still requests to turn ad blockers and still won't allow viewing. YouTube works on other browsers.

I am sure YouTube is playing games but can you help?

Can you be honest and address this?

I have reinstalled and refreshed the app many times, but whenever I try to search something, it says "An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. This happens with every single search on every website, not just google.

I've tried other browsers (e.g. brave) and it works fine there. I can close the tab, close the browser, reopen it and I'll still be logged into chatgpt but not with firefox

I've tried clearing cookies, settings them to always be allowed, re-enabling web-rtc, disabling enchanced protection, nothing works. IF i close the active tab with chatgpt even momentarily i will always have to re-log in again when i reopen it

I have been using Firefox Mozilla for many years. This morning it opened up fine. Then this afternoon (Dec 7, 2023) it would not open for me and when I try to open a new tab it says that it crashed.

I looked and I do have Firefox as my start up browser in my settings. Thank you for any advice on getting back to my favorite browser.

Since snap firefox keeps crashing somehow, it just hangs.. i cleared cache and all, reinstalled it, but still.. ?

They say linux is a broken system (:

macOS 14.1.1 on an M2 with FF 120.

When going to sites such as nbcnews.com/now or https://toronto.ctvnews.ca, A/V sync is off by about a second.

This appears to be due to the volume being muted when video playback starts. Unpausing the video leads to the video freezing for a very brief moment, then the A/V sync is clearly incorrect.

This can be replicated on YouTube by loading a video, muting the video (if not muted already), refreshing the page (F5), allowing the video to play, then unmuting the video. The sync will be incorrect.

If the audio is unmuted when the video play back starts, this does not appear to happen.

Following this article has no impact: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings, nor does setting media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false.

This issue does not occur on Microsoft Edge.

I'm trying to import my passwords from chrome and cannot get it to work. I've set signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled to true and have tried both directly importing from chrome and creating a csv file and copying from that, but chrome won't copy passwords over directly and when using the csv file almost all the passwords are listed as missing fields and won't copy over. I'm unsure if there's something i'm missing in teh copy process or if i'm just stuck manually copying over passwords

This is for https://outlook.live.com where I cannot access my full list of folders. I am using Firefox on Linux (in Fedora 34) and my scrolling feature hasn't been working for a few days now. When I search for an email in one of the inaccessible folders, the folder does appear.

As an idea... I added https://outlook.live.com to the pop-up exemptions, no luck.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I selected "Tips and Tricks" because I always feel like everyone seems to understand the answers and I do NOT.

I have and donated to Firefox since it began. I think it is a great idea. I have severe dyslexia and ADHD.

I keep add-ons to a minimum and my home page free of everything. I use menus to find what I need. Having short-cuts all over is too distracting. When FF is not available and have to use another browser, I find it very difficult: they are loud, busy and ads are all over.

I am finding "help" more and more difficult to understand. Do the folks realize that I don't use computers all day long? That some people don't use the same definitions as people who work with computers? (I tried to find the meaning of "default" with 0 results, phrased the question many ways.)

I am hoping a beginners guide review would help, as thing have changed since Firefox was new or "Firefox for Dummies" was written!

Is is/are there basic manuals? Please help. ("Please don't respond with what help are you looking for" - that will not help the next problem).

Is there a way to enable using both a default pattern as well as a custom image for the background on Firefox Color? I really want to enable both but it is making me choose one or the other. Please help me do this or enable the ability to do so.
