I'm encountering consistent video playback issues on Firefox while running Fedora 38. The error message I receive when attempting to play videos from certain sites, notably LinkedIn and Twitter (now X), is:

• The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.*

Furthermore, when examining Firefox's console while attempting to play a video, I observed the following error:

• [Child 5999, MediaDecoderStateMachine #1] WARNING: Decoder=7fdb3c55a100 Decode error: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_FATAL_ERR (0x806e0005) - mozilla::MediaResult mozilla::FFmpegDataDecoder<60>::InitDecoder(AVDictionary**): Couldn't open avcodec: file /builddir/build/BUILD/firefox-118.0/dom/media/MediaDecoderStateMachineBase.cpp:166*

Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to LinkedIn or X (previously Twitter). 2. Attempt to play any video content. 3. Observe the aforementioned error.

Additional Details: - OS: Fedora 38 - Firefox version: Initially 117.0.1, then updated to 118, both 64-bit. - This issue does not occur on Google Chrome on the same system. - I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps without success:

 1. Updated Firefox to the latest version.
 2. Enabled DRM content.
 3. Booted Firefox in Safe Mode.
 4. Disabled hardware acceleration.
 5. Cleared cache and cookies.
 6. Used a Flatpak version of Firefox.

This issue has significantly impacted my user experience, and I hope to find a resolution soon. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The scrollbar is way too thin. I've searched online and tried all of the tips and they don't work. The scrollbar is almost useless.

I have clicked the 'always ask where to save download' box, but the save files to downloads is still active. How do I get it to ask me where to download to every time?

Firefox used to have an option to put tabs back under the address bar, it is missing. I don't want to mess with custom css files every update when mozilla breaks things again.

Hi firefox support. So I have not been able to access a website called "roblox" For ages. When I google the name and click it this comes up the refresh button goes crazy and tries keeps reloading. Please help.

If I want to read a Pocket article, it asks me to sign in to Firefox. When I put in my user name, it does not advance beyond this page: https://accounts.firefox.com/oauth/signin?client_id= . . . I'm guessing that it may be allowing cookies, but it looks like cookies for Firefox and Mozilla are being allowed. Can you assist so I can save a Pocket story?

Currently on macOS Firefox 117.0.1 and in the last week I noticed I can't authenticate with my Yubikey anymore. The browser will prompt for the key ("touch your security key", etc.). While the prompt will go away after I activate my key, the browser window won't advance past the authentication page. Short story-- I haven't been able to use my Yubikey for any site recently.

Bank has changed access requirements to require geo-location when logging into account. Under Firefox settings, I found the geo-location settings screen; however, have not found how to add my bank's website for the purposes of allowing access to my geo-location when accessing their online banking services.

The only options listed were to delete 2 listed websites with geo-location access.

There is no add button to allow geo-location access when logging into my bank account?

The LastPass icon has disappeared from the menu. I've tried re-installing the extension, and looking in the "customize" list (right click on the menu area), but it isn't there. Please advise how I can get it back. I rely on it. I think this is a result of a Firefox upgrade.

Fist I HATE IT when sites try to answer all my damn questions before I can ask. NEVER IS WHAT I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT!!! Second WHY make it so Hard to ask a question???? Have to jump through all the damn loophole. Third why can't I use voice to text. THAT WAS THE SIMPLE MAIN QUESTION ⁉️

Firefox for linux ubuntu is what I'm using on my laptop. I installed browsec VPN and it does not launch. I've used this before linux mint and I did not have any problems.

I have Firefox 115.1.0esr on Windows 7 desk top PC. When I try to log in to my Comcast Xfinity online account they say my browser certificate is invalid and I can't log in. Any suggestions? Thanks

So I very rarely use facebook for anything other than messages, and occasionally log into it from firefox. I would even say that I go out of my way to use it as little as possible. The past few weeks I have however been getting popup notifications for new messages from firefox notifying me of messenger messages when I have no facebook messenger tabs open.

I do not have any plugins that would affect this in any way which leads me to believe that Firefox is keeping me connected to facebook when I don't want it to.

If this is the case I'd love to know where the settings for this are, because any search results I do lead me to plugins, which I don't believe this to be an issue with, and maybe also recommend not to have them on by default. When I have my browser open I like to know that what I see is what I get, and having facebook open in the background without my knowledge, I do not appreciate.

We have a website we are using for supply chain. When we look at orders it shows up in PDF for printing. While using FireFox after a few PDF's they are starting to show corrupted data. Even after deleting cookies and Cashed data
