Yes, they've all been updated and maintained, but, there are several whose functions are severaly depreciated - including one where I would now have to actually PAY MONEY to do what I used to be able to do with ease on the legacy version.

Urgently seeking legacy versions that all worked fine before my old PC hit the dust last week.

Everytime I open the suggestions in the address bar Search with Google or Search with Amazon appear at the top. You cannot remove them by using the 'forget about this site' feature and if you change the browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus to 'False' you don't get the suggestions. Can you tell me how to permanently remove Search with Google or Search with Amazon from the suggestions. Thank you.

I am running Firefox 76.0.1 on GalliumOS 3.1 on a Lenovo N21. For some reason, my add ons don't show up or work, even though they are installed. Firefox works great on my other two machines, and used to work great on this one. Thank you Jason Stone.

Viewing a national newspaper site today, Firefox popped up an odd message Continue to installation of Flash player. It then loads (tries) https://performintenselyquickapplication.icu and an ID string. I think I can run Flash already on my browser so why do I have to do this?

The URL worries me, it may be genuine but would like confirmation it is. As mentioned I can already see/use Flash so why the message?

Search for https://performintenselyquickapplication.icu returns nothing other than an Alexa position. Thanks in advance. McP/

Add-ons not showing in toolbar

Hello

When it comes to add-ons, then I add three of four at once or the same purpose, I try them all out, decide if I want to keep any of them, and then remove the ones I see that do not serve my target. All normal.

I know that it requires permission in order to have an add-on show in Private Browsing, that's done.

Now I had 8 add-ons on the toolbar, I disabled two or three of them so I can try two new ones. I did not like the new ones, so I just enabled the ones I had disabled, which where previously showing in the toolbar, all of this in Private Browsing having the permission of showing them.

As I enabled the add-ons again, they are not showing anymore in the toolbar..!!

Okay, I removed them and re-added them..not showing. I also did: not allow in Private Mode, then re-allowed..not showing. I simply restarted the browser in both normal and Private Mode, and yet not showing.. I also restarted my pc, and retried all previous steps again

  • This mainly happened as I removed the extension from toolbar, then added it again.

Still also 90% of the time, just disable then enable again, and only a few are showing again. Either when disabled then re-enabled or when removed then re-added*

So, what to do ?

Hello, i trying actually to create an add on for firefox (for my personnal using for the moment), my idea is : An Lo-Fi radio addon who plays in the background the sound of a live youtube lofi, so I made sure that when I click on the extension it opens an html file containing the live video, my problem is that : if I close the addon, or I change tab, the sound stops, how to make so that the sound plays continuously without having to keep the extension "open", to summarize I try to achieve a result similar to the extension "Nook ", I send screenshots of my code below

The good old option that existed in the Settings to turn off images doesn't seem to exist anymore. I used it occasionally to speed-up page loading when my network is slow and it really worked. Even Chrome, Brave and Edge are still providing that option. Really sad to see Firefox doing this.

PS: I know it still can be changed inside about:config. But that isn't convenient and can't be done for per-site basis.

Suggestion

Dedicated home button

A few years since I last used Firefox on Android, now I'm back and I'm missing a dedicated home button on the toolbar/ address bar like the one on Opera and Chrome.

Getting from an active page back to the speed dial is not one tap but three taps, which doesn't seem to be a very efficient way to do things?

Google search tells me I'm not alone wishing for a dedicated home button on Firefox Android so perhaps something to consider seriously in a not so distant future...?

Firefox used to revert to default printer settings every time we make an attempt to print. This was ideal for us since we are a business that prints the same style of documents frequently throughout the day, only requiring us to change the settings as needed for one-offs that had different requirements. It was very efficient.

Since the latest update, Firefox "remembers" any changes in printer settings for the next time it prints. So, when we make changes for those one-offs, the next batch of prints are coming out wrong. It is wasting a lot of paper and time.

Is there an option somewhere in Firefox's about:config that turns off Firefox's print settings memory, and forces it to revert to the default printer settings?

Hello all and I hope everyone is safe in this pandemic world! In my Applications and in my profile directory, I have Mibbit as the default irc and it comes up everytime I reinstall firefox. I think that this is strange, mibbit is for old crooners isn't it? I would think that FF has advanced! I would like to not see it when I reinstall firefox, is this possible

I also have an installed plugin Shock wave Flash...did I install this or does it come from FF?

thank you,

Now that Microsoft has moved to a Chrome based browser with the newest release of Edge, automatic, and fully functional website translations are now standard in both Edge and Chrome. I am a US Citizen, living in Mexico, that is not yet fully fluent in Spanish. This has severely limited my ability to use Firefox, which honestly, is a pretty big deal for me. I prefer Firefox for multiple reasons, but privacy is my major concern. Is Firefox working on a solution to this massive hole in Mozilla's browser product offering? Two major competitors are now offering automatic translation. What gives?
