Hi , My main machine is a personal windows laptop. Firefox sync works fine and syncs all things including "all" my installed extensions . recently company issues me a macbook and on it when i install firefox and login my account for sync it syncs other things like bookmarks but does not sync all my extensions only a few of them.

I already tried multiple things like sync delibrately from windows and then pressing sync on mac or reinstalling firefox on mac . but its the same issue.

1. Auto Tab Discard
2. Download Manager (S3)
3. DownthemAll
4. Stylus ( very important for me)
5. Tab Session Manager (THE most important for me)
6. TamperMonkey ( Important)
7. (Temporary Containers)
8. uBlock Origin
9. Xkit Rewritten
10. Zoom Image

Firefox (10.0002 64-bit) is bookmarking every single page I visit, making the bookmarking function useless to me. I just noticed this problem recently. Someone posted a similar question in 2016:

He seemed to think the problem was related to an app -- but someone else posted to that question and they did not have any new apps. Nor do I. I haven't knowingly installed any apps to Firefox in the last year.

Can someone please tell me how to stop the bookmarking function from booking pages automatically without my input?

MY ORIGINAL ACCOUNT EMAIL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WHEN I TRY TO LOG IN ON A NEW COMPUTER FIREFOX SENDS A CODE TO AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT I CAN NOT ACCESS. HOW DO I GET THE CODE SENT TO MY SECONDARY EMAIL?

Per an article on yahoo news, I decided to clear data by going to: Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies&Site Date->clear data

In hindsight, this turned out to be a mistake. Previously when using yahoo mail, it let me stay logged in for two weeks. Now I have to log in each time. There are also 2 or 3 other sites that logged me in automatically, but now have to log in every time.

How can I undo what I did?

Somewhere around FF 86, the print preview was broken so one only gets a tiny, unreadable print preview. For a while, print.tab_modal.enabled = classic experience (false) worked. Sometime in the last few months, that was taken away and no longer works. How now do we get a print preview big enough to see and make our choices about things like scale?

I note that I run Windows 8.1 (up-to-date), Radeon HD graphics, 1280 x 1024 monitor.

Back in 2019 I learned how to set Firefox so that a website opening a new window would always include standard menus (the website could not suppress them). Now I get windows without the menus and controls I need.

I used some combination of 

dom.disable_window_open_feature.menubar

   and

dom.event.contextmenu.enabled

These haven't done the job for over a year now.

How do I do this now?

p.s. I note that I run Windows 8.1 (up-to-date), but have a Windows 10 I could use if it would work better there (up-to-date).

When FF on my Windows 10 machine crashed FF asked if I wanted to refresh FF. I said yes, and FF reopened as usual with all my tabs. After I closed and reopened FF the next time, it reopened without any of my tabs. I then discovered that FF had unchecked the “Startup Open previous windows and tabs” box, which I had previously religiously monitored to be sure it was checked. So I lost all my previous tabs.

In my sessionstore-backups folder I found the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 as last in a list of three more recent file names. I then dropped the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 in the scrounger tool on this site: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. It expanded in the big window, and when I clicked on Save uncompressed JSON as text, I see all the URLs run together in a text file.

How can I use this information to recover my tabs, please? If so, how? Or is there a better way to use the Scrounger – or another – tool?

Otherwise if I delete the three more recent file names in the list above the upgrade.jsonlz4-20 file, and restart FF will I recover the missing tabs? If so would I the check or uncheck the Startup Open previous windows and tabs box?

Lastly, can I restore my missing tabs using Windows’ “System restore” tool from 3 days before the crash?

My system disk failed, so I had to restore it from pretty old backup, with old Firefox version installed and old profile data. Now I want to start Firefox and reopen all my recent tabs from Firefox Sync, but not from my local (old) profile. How should I proceed?

Hi, I'm wanting to add QANTAS Shopping Points-Prompter to my add-ons. It says that it is available for Firefox but each time I try I get 'Oops, we can't find that page'. I've been liaising with QANTAS and they say there is no issue at their end, and I have downloaded it with other programs i.e. Chrome. Can you assist me please as I would prefer to use Firefox but that won't be possible if I can't get this add-on.

I am unable to access Zendesk via Firefox, but can in Incognito Mode. I have cleared the cache, but this has not fixed the issue. Please see attachements. How do I fix this issue?

MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 FF 99.0.1 Have tried clearing Cache, Cookies, Troubleshoot mode.

Google Maps > Search > Share > Embed a Map, the map to be embedded is not displayed (likewise when embed is pasted into Wordpress page, for example)

While same procedure in Safari or Brave works as expected (map to be embedded is displayed in Google maps and embed code displays map in webpage using Brave or Safari).

From the Google Maps page > share > Embed a map > right click This Frame > Open in new tab And then looking in the Console. There are a few other ignored errors but then this...

Hi,

Trying to login to access microsoft products and this works with all browsers except Firefox. I'm reduced to using Edge or Chrome... Well Chromium.

I believe this is due to MFA and it going in a loop, see the screen shot, it keeps taking me back to this page.

I know the username and password are correct, but it still loops endlessly no matter how many times i put my password in.

I've also ticked allow single sign on for MS account, i've cleared history, caches, cookies etc, even reinstalled FF thinking maybe I had ticked something somewhere but to no avail.

Please note, I am working for a business so I may not be able to provide info sensitive to the business. however this is the page it keeps redirecting to.

Any help would be appreciated.
