I have reverted to 3.5 because the latest versions of FF include some nonsense called plugin-container. FF was brilliant prior to the plugin-container but now it is noticeably slower.

Are there any early versions of 3.6 without the plugin-container available for download.

Can someone fix the plugin-container nonsense. FF was perfect prior to the plugin-container

When I log into facebook, there is a white screen with the text displayed on left side of screen. I have tried to delete cache and cookies but page will still not display properly. Please help!

Do this: turn OFF all toolbar view from the view menu, with the Menu toolbar the last one. Problem: cannot find any UI to turn it back, stuck with a bare window, except the tab list.

this css style, which works fine with IE, does not display a colored scrollbar in Firefox:

In the past I managed to add a 'Custom Search Engine' to Firefox's 'Search Bar' (Windows Version) by just right-clicking that site's own 'search bar' and choosing 'Add to search bar'. I had no third party plugin installed to do this. It was provided by Firefox itself.

Or am I mixing up this feature with Google's 'Add Custom Search Button' ?

Anyhow, is there a way to add a 'Custom Search Engine' to Firefox's 'Search Bar' from any website, WITHOUT having to:

• install an add-on (like: Add to Search Bar 2.0)
• acquire search engines on 'mycroft.mozdev.org'
• acquire search engines from 'Manage/Add Search Engines' from the drop-down menu in the search bar ?

I downloaded some extensions that you have to open to use. The problem is that I can't figure out how to open them. They are not on/can't be put on the toolbar, are not in the "tools" tab, the only way I even know they are on my computer is by going to Tools > Addons > Extensions, and I can't even open them from there.

I have a URL I need to access "http://vb.bytware/forums/index/php" but fire fox keeps adding WWW to he beginning of the URL returning "http://www.vb.bytware/forums/index.php" whis is worng and therefore returns a Site not Found error.

I have two profiles for firefox. But sometimes Firefox starts with the first active, sometimes with the second. The question is: How can I force firefox to use the profile "default" as the default profile on startup when there is no other instance running? When I want to use a second profile in parallel I use the command "firefox -P --no-profile" to start the profile selector.

I was told by a webmaster that I need to "clear my cache" to make their website work right again. I have instructions to go to the "tools" option, but the new version of firefox doesn't have "tools" that I can find. Can someone please help. thanks

My computer was attacked by malware and could not boot. Tried upgrading Windows XP but can't because it needs a working Windows install. Can't re-install because there is not enough space on the HDD. So I replaced the drive and got Windows 7 working on it.

Now the Firefox question: how do I get my bookmarks on the old drive into my new one? I can access my files on the old drive by putting in in an external HD enclosure. But i don't know where to look for my bookmarks database folder so that I could move it to my new drive.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have years of bookmarks in the old drive.
