Firefox has taken to sending pop-ups of breaking news, which I then have to clear manually (Win 10) How can I stop this.

I have looked in settings, but can't find an off switch for this "new" toy. At least the Thunderbird notifications disappear after a few seconds! These just pile up till they block the entire right hand side of my screen - and then they keep going, and block other more important notifications in the main notifications bit.

I am using the latest Fiefox and i have disabled all adons i have tried everything I have changed my Facebook password every time i g try to share something on Firefox get a black box on the bottom right that says something wrong . I have tried to copy the entire hing but can not i got some of it I have even reinstalled firebox ans still can not share anything I have tried contacting Facebook but that does not happen no response i appears to work in Chrome on a noter Facebook account so it is Firefox. i will send you what i could get on the screen shot the part that is missing s the part that says something s wrong

When I use Firefox it removes shortcuts from my home screen (starting from the right) and replaces them with sites that I visit, even if I visit them only once.

I have been to settings, Recent Activity is turned off, Rows are set to 2, and the only other option is Shortcuts > Sites you save or visit.

I don't want Firefox to automatically add visited sites to my shortcuts and remove my saved sites.

Why does this happen? I was even logged in, and my tab groups are gone. Why??? Do I need to use a different browser? And Firefox has had trouble with some websites where the paying portion is not correct. However, if I go to a different browser (Chrome), the paying portion works correctly. I'm getting kinda tired of these weird things going on. Please don't offer a feature that doesn't work like grouping tabs.

Today: Can't access website. I think it is the ISP or the router. Reset the router. No luck. Tried a different device on the Wifi. Works fine. Tried a different browser. works fine. Shut down Firefox. I had 2 browser instances open with several windows in each. Could not restart firefox, as it did not close correctly. I closed the broken instance(s). opened FF again, only got one set of windows, not both sets. The other instance had a bunch of grouped windows, and the groups seem to be gone. I can recreate most of those, but had some windows with ongoing work and things I wanted to look at and now they are gone.

FF crashed when I tried to get some answer from ediblearrangements.com help.

I keep telling Firefox that I do NOT (that's NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!) want autoplay of either audio or video. Why do certain websites keep autoplaying audio? I DO NOT WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please try to comprehend that I do ***NOT*** want to listen to that website's audio!!!

bold text I receive news notifications from mozilla firefox as popups; the dismiss option no longer works so they stay there blocking access to other areas. How do i fix?

I am trying to install Keeper Password Manager and use Yubikey login. Setting up the Yubikeys with Firefox does not work. I used Chrome to create the Yubikey login and they work with Chrome. I never normally use Chrome, only Firefox. When I try to login to Keeper on Firefox I get an error message instead of the login.

After updated to Firefox 140.0.4 (20250707120347), all site do not load for me, general sites, like youtube/google. There's nothing wrong with my Wifi/Internet Connection, even Microsoft Edge can load the websites.

The TOPIC above is ALL!!! I use AOL for most everything!! I noticed that there would be a "CHANGE", but this looks BAD!!!! I HATE EDGE!!!! I'm 86 and this change is too deep for me. As the Subject line says, Firefox will act like it's working normally for a little bit but shortly after using it websites stop loading and no new websites can be accessed. Usually after about 10 minutes. Closing and reopening Firefox restarts the cycle. Works for a bit, then stops. Other browsers like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome work fine.

I've checked my Firewall, deleted and re-added Firefox, made sure it had both Public and Private Network access. Also tried using Firefox in Troubleshoot mode and tried resetting Firefox. Same behavior, made no difference.

I don't see any error messages when this happens. Tabs just spin and load indefinitely with nothing ever appearing in the window. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not too tech savvy. The only thing I tried was to reinstall Firefox which did not help.

This happens often. I start Firefox, and on the home page is a list of articles linked to several different publications. So I'm generally already on a mission, but I think "I'll come back to that article later", and I go off to do what I logged in to do. And when I get back to the article a few minutes or hours later, it's gone! There is a new set of articles. The articles have all refreshed, and the one I wanted to read is gone. So can I see back to what that was? Or some other way to retrieve that article I never got to read before it went away?

How can I open an ad on a one-time basis, as if there were an option when right-clicking?

Sometimes we search for something we want to buy. The ad is near the top of the search results and seems to be worth investigating.

But we can't open the ad. Our wonderful ad blocker is, like our guard dog, too zealous sometimes protecting us.

The answer I'm looking for is NOT to go into Settings, etc. That's swatting a fly with a sledge hammer.

recently some websites won't open. in other browsers sites open fine. problems with pinterest.com figma.com cleared the browser, deleted cookies and cache, reinstalled the browser everything opens in google chrome, i attach screenshots

I have a MV3 extension I created that has a popup and data that is stored in sessionstorage and extension storage.

When I use the extension in a private window it does not work because data does not persist between each time I open and close the popup.

This causes problems, for example you have I have to login each time I open the popup, instead of the auth status persisting. It works fine in a normal window though.

Is there anything I can do that allows data for an extension running in an inPrivate window to persist. (Maybe some additional manifest code / changing the browser config)

I've recently swapped to Firefox from Chrome and I've noticed a huge hindrance.

I use a chatroom website and when I swap to the tab and begin to type, the first letter is randomly eaten/won't be entered into the text field.

For instance I was typing the word "What" and the text field only displayed "hat". Or when typing "Either" only "ither" appeared.

I thought this may have been related to a hardware acceleration issue but both settings did not work. So I started to look at Hotkeys but none of them should be interfering.

Some others have stated they have this issue too and I've been unable to find any solution. Any help?
