On my Personal GMAIL Account…
Why can’t I locate my emails when I deselect the folder they are in? I use to be able to deselect a folder and the email would automatically go back into my inbox.
There use to be the availability to restore from my Personal GMAIL account a 30 day previous history… I would have to wait for the restoration, and every email I had in my Personal GMAIL account could be found in my INBOX. Has FIREFOX UPDATES REMOVED THESE TWO OPTIONS FROM MY PERSONAL GMAIL ACCOUNT?

Many pages in firefox become unresponsive for me while loading and then appear to never finish loading. The address bar remains mostly functional, but:
One example page where this happens is the firefox 'Get community support' forums page itself which loads when I click 'ask now': https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-community-support?exit_aaq=1
What's particular about my setup?
I have produced this behaviour when having no browser extensions at all, not even my password manager. I'm using firefox on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). I found that on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, it comes installed as a snap even if I install it with `apt install firefox`, and I really needed a non-snap implementation so that I could integrate my password manager. (I'm using 1Password. To integrate the 1Password browser extension with the 1Password desktop application, I can't have firefox sandboxed by snap.) Therefore, I installed firefox as a deb package using the instructions given on https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install-firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04:
```
sudo snap remove firefox
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/ppa
echo ' Package: * Pin: release o=LP-PPA-mozillateam Pin-Priority: 1001 ' | sudo tee /etc/apt/preferences.d/mozilla-firefox
echo 'Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins:: "LP-PPA-mozillateam:${distro_codename}";' | sudo tee /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/51unattended-upgrades-firefox
sudo apt install firefox ```
Is there a better course of action? Having this password-manager integration is essential to me.
Sometimes in the background firefox will start to max out my ram usage (32GB). I am not sure if it is a addon or a site which is doing this. I captured a memory measurement, but not sure what to make of it. I don't have anything to add up parts or anything.
What is weird, is when I go back to firefox and tab through my tabs it will go back down to a reasonable level.
Dear Firefox Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have encountered with CSS styling on Mozilla Firefox.
I have implemented the following CSS properties on my website to achieve a zoom effect: body {
zoom: 70%;
} but it is not supported by Firefox.
I tried this approach: body{
transform: scale(0.7); transform-origin: 0 0;
}
While this approach is supported by Firefox, I am experiencing an unexpected behavior. Instead of a smooth zoom effect, the entire website is zoomed out, and the content is shifted to the left, leaving the right side blank with a white space.
I have attached a screenshot for your reference.
I have tried various alternatives, including using the zoom property, but it seems that Firefox does not support it. I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring a consistent and smooth zoom effect across different browsers, including Firefox.
Your guidance and support in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. If there are any workarounds or best practices to achieve a zoom effect without causing layout distortions, I would be eager to learn about them.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Hello, can you add better support playback on .mp4 videos? Seems with Firefox it's a hit-and-miss with some .mp4 videos that will play and some that will just show "No video with supported format and MIME type found".
All other browsers will play .mp4 videos without an issue but Firefox won't.
If you can provide better .mp4 playback support that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Here's one of those videos for an example: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Fv6SdftiCXeYPQOdF17H2JNpwjMu9P7q
Pretty much a URL string like example.com/videosample.mp4
I have had many recent issues accessing things with Firefox. A couple examples are Slack and NEUP.gov. If I try to go to NEUP.gov it never loads. If i try to log into the University of Michigan enterprise Slack, via SSO, it says 400 Bad Request.
Both of these work fine if I do them on Chrome. I also talked to Slack, and they suggested it is not on their end. I don't want to switch to Chrome, but if I can't access the sites I need to on Firefox what else can I do? Any ideas on why this is happening would be appreciated.
There are far too many context menu items that I neither need nor use. I would like it to only show those context menu items that I make use of, but there's no way to do it. I would like to see future updates or iterations have this incorporated as part of the Settings.
I used THIS link to change mousewheel.with_control.action to 5, which allows for using the scroll wheel to pinch zoom. My only issue is that it is extremely cumbersome, with 3 full rotations of the wheel required for a 2x zoom. Is there any way to increase the amount per tick it zooms in by?
I am seeing a very odd behavior. Sometimes, not always, it takes two or sometimes even three clicks to go to a link, especially bookmarks for some reason. That and at times I have to click on the address bar and hit enter even if I clicked a link to go to a new site. Mostly this happens with bookmarks and history items, but not always. I have disabled hardware acceleration and my few add-ons, I even put Firefox into safe mode to try to diagnose the issue further. Unfortunately I'm still lost and the issue presists. Any thoughts?
I'm using macOS Sonoma 14.1.2 and Firefox was just installed yesterday 120.0.1. The only extensions I have are AdGuard and 1Password.
I have noticed that when it occurs, I see the reload button cycle between the X and the Reload icon for like half a second and then does nothing else until I click on it. I have checked my Internet connection and it has been stable.
Honestly I don't have a clue as to where to look to resolve this sudden issue because I've never seen it before. While testing a simple single page static web site firefox keeps loading the same page into a new tab and a rate that I cannot keep up with. In a few short minutes there are hundreds of tabs open each with the same page. I've tried cancelling Firefox, rebooted my system, even removed and reinstalled firefox all to no avail (using Linux Mint). What's interesting is that all other browsers I try do NOT do this. They all work just fine. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions as to what might cause this and/or where to look to diagnose? Thanks in advance.
On my Mac (High Sierra), I can't make Tab font larger even after using jscher's great fix using about:config and devp. It worked beautifully on Linux Mint (Firefox 103) but not on Mac with Firefox 115. Will be 80 in July. Want to fix this soon . . . ha!
