I want to disable notifications when a download is finished, however the key in about:config 'browser.download.manager.showAlertOnComplete' does not exist any more. Is there some other way to disable these notifications?

Using the arm64 version of Firefox on a Surface Pro X causes several graphical issues. These issues started either with a update of Firefox or drivers.

What can be done to report this issue and help it getting fixed?

I'd like to report a problem which affects the rendering of websites in Firefox with a HiDPI monitor.

I'm having issues with the text and graphics of web pages, that are often mismatched or misaligned, with text being too large compared to graphical elements. See the enclosed pictures for an example; as you can see, this happens also on your website. Also, I've noted that pages (and plugins) appear to be "shrinked" as opposed to when viewed on Chrome, where they are shown to their true size.

Setting ui.textScaleFactor=100 and tweaking with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx did not change much. I must admit that I find this behavior quite strange, since HiDPI monitors have been around for more than a decade, and especially considering that this did not impact my experience with Firefox on Windows, using the same monitor and machine.

I hope to find an effective solution to this problem and look forward to your reply. Please let me know if I can be of any help in this matter.

I use a privoxy hosted on my home server to route Firefox traffic through a VPN. It usually works fine, but I am trying to set a few services to bypass the proxy using the "No proxy for" box in the Firefox connection settings - specifically streaming sites like netflix, hulu, and plex. Despite putting these domains in the "no proxy for" box, the proxy still seems to be applied - ie. Netflix fails to stream as it would if I were connecting through the VPN.

To test, I also tried adding "whatismyipaddress.com" to the "no proxy for" box, and this did successfully bypass the vpn (showing my real IP), so it is working to some degree. I can also confirm that that site shows my vpn IP when it is not on the whitelist.

I assume that these streaming services are connecting to a different domain when streaming video, which is not on the whitelist to bypass the proxy because I have not added them. Does anyone know if this is the case, and if so, how I could fix the issue?

This issue has arisen on Firefox for Linux Mint (my current version is 123.0 (64bit)). I like Firefox, and I like its bookmarks toolbar, and have used it for many years, but there seems to be a new bug introduced today:- The bookmarks toolbar is present and correct when I start Firefox, but now it disappears as soon as I select any bookmark, or if I enter any web address or if I open a new tab. The [View >Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar > Alway Show] option is already selected, but the toolbar is no longer visible. If I click on it again, the bookmarks toolbar reappears (or I can restart Firefox, and this will also restore the toolbar). But the toolbar now disappears as soon as I use the browser in any way, and so is currently not really of practical use, as it needs constant restoring. Hope you can help resolve this. I have tried to download the newest VDH Companion App (via the link on the github.com webpage) Seven (yes, 7) times and every time the download Fails or I get "Zero bytes". I tried to contact "Support" but there is only a Support Forum and nobody else has posted this as an issue that I was able to find when I searched. So no support is offered. The website suggests that I create an account to be able to post a new issue. However, Every time I have tried to set up a github.com account, I am Unable to do so. The page to set up an account either doesn't load OR if it loads, I can not add any information to it. I am a VDH Registered User and until this morning, the current VDH app I am using, version 8.2.1.1 was working just fine. But now when I try to use it, it says that my VDH Companion App needs to be updated. But I can not even download it to update it. I am running the current version of FF, 123.0.1 on an iMac with Sonoma OS 14.4. We used to be able to email Mig but not anymore. The github.com support page is unwieldy at best and I see that numerous requests for help or support have not been answered or even acknowledged. I am a paid Registered user with a license, but that doesn't seem to matter. I, like many others from what I read online, count on using this app almost every day and I would think that the mechanism for updates should be working correctly. The update files I tried to download came across at crazy low speeds, like 20.1 to 40.5 Kbps! I spent over an hour with Tech Support for HughesNet and much to my chagrin, No Other Websites had any issues with download speed. It was only happening on the github.com website and this one file update. Sorry if TMI but I am just trying to thorough.

My V123 for W11 doesn't show the vertical scroll bar unless the cursor is there. There's no "always show scroll bar" option in under general/browsing.

Is this a glitch? Can it be fixed?

I had to reinstall windows 10, and then Firefox on my computer, after logging into Firefox on this fresh install (had to reset password), my saved passwords and bookmarks are not there. They still exist on my phone, and my phone is now asking for the new password to start syncing again. If I log in on my phone, will it sync the passwords there to my computer? I am worried syncing will cause the ones on my phone to disappear. Is there any way to export my passwords/bookmarks on the phone(android) to file? As a backup just in case. I logged in on an old computer thinking it would sync, even if it was out of date, but now it also shows 0 passwords saved.

How to stop Firefox from going to an already open tab when trying to open the same site again ?

yes i want 10 tabs open on the same site, stop switching to one open tab. i discovered i hold shift/alt ti prevent this, there must be an option to disable it altogether, how?

I recently installed openSUSE TW on my new laptop, and as part of the default Firefox install it bookmarked many openSUSE websites. I removed them from my bookmarks, but they still remain in the address bar recommendations every time I click/open the address bar (see pic). I have cleared the all time history, I have double checked to make sure that they are no longer bookmarked, and the only way I can get them to disappear is by completely disabling "Shortcuts" in Settings -> Address Bar — Firefox Suggest -> Shortcuts => Untick. I'd prefer being able to just click the address bar and click on the websites I frequently visit. This has happened in the past, but I thought I just removed them from the bookmarks and the links went away. Any help greatly appreciated!

For the past week, when I sign into Facebook, the news feed is constantly refreshing itself. Once in a while the first post will stay, but the remainder of the news feed keeps refreshing. It is impossible to read anything as posts flash on and off, mostly off. The news feed is the only thing that is affected, visiting pages for likes and groups load and display properly, as do the games I play. The same occurs if in the private window mode. This does not happen if in the Chrome browser. What can be done to correct this situation?

Bing says my browser is the one to set my SafeSearch on strict by default, but I can't find the option to turn it off. Is there even an option or is this a Bing issue?

I've read all the suggestions but can't get Firefox Sync to transfer the open tabs from my old PC to my new one. I'm signed in on both to the same account, both are on my LAN with a wired ethernet connection, and I've checked every box in the "what to sync" field. When I click "Sync Now" the icon spins for a few seconds like it's doing something but the tabs from the old machine do not appear on the new one as I expected them to. Nor can I get them by closing and doing a Restore Session.

This seems pretty straightforward and how most users would expect it to work - am I missing something? If not, why isn't it working?

I am trying to access video content on cbc.ca or Amazon.ca and receive an error message that "no compatible source was found for this media" - Amazon or on cbc.ca "Oops...None of the given sources can be played".

Prior to updating Firefox to version 123.0.1, both played video on these sites without an issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF and the issue persists. I can play the video from these sites with Chrome or Edge without a problem.

Windows store does not offer the pack.

I am not running malware bytes or a VPN.

I have cleared my cache, and browsing history, rebooted = no change.

I have no add-ons, extensions or themes installed.

I prefer to use FF, but require that I can view videos from many sites.

Today I went to utube and couldn't watch anything. I noticed a new item in the bar at top of screen, it stated account has disconnected. I changed my password and went back to utube and locked out again. I am running a full system scan just in case.

My Firefox has gotten so buggy lately I can't use it. I'm writing from Edge. THere are numerous issues. The sign in process got messed up a couple months ago. IT asks for email address, then doesn't provide password screen option, takes forever to send email, and then sometimes repeats itself. Tabs crash and clicks fail to work randomly. Out of desperation I reset my Firefox password and that seemed to help temporarily, but not enough. So what's happened and how to fix??? Thanks.

Whenever i put javascript code into the url box when making a bookmark, (trying to add a bookmarklet to my bookmark bar.) after i click save, the bookmark just doesnt even show up, its like firefox isnt even making the bookmark. i dont even know whats going on it was doing this before i had any addons

Above 70-75k characters, text input fields on any site have a ton of input lag -- like, I have to wait 10s after I type a sentence for the sentence to finish slowly updating letter by letter. I've tested across multiple sites, and in Private mode (to confirm it's not caused by extensions, none of which are allowed in Private mode).

I also tried setting `accessibility.force_disabled=1` as suggested here and here, but that didn't help (and yes, I restarted). Disabling hardware acceleration didn't help either.
