Even though my laptop, tablet, phone and PC have the language settings set to English (GB) my Firefox across all platforms has changed from displaying English results to displaying results in French. I have gone through and changed all my language settings in and outside of the browser from English (Canada), to English (GB) to no avail. It still shows up in French. and I have had an French to English translator popping up when searching in Firefox. I can't see anywhere else to change the language. Everywhere I see, it says English (GB), but still displays French headings to the searchs. Any help will be great. Thanks.

on PC A, firefox just lost all open tabs (even pinned ones), history (for this device only thank gods), open windows.

I installed a windows yesterday on a different PC (lets call it B), and logged in with the same microsoft account PC A uses. Then installed firefox and logged in to sync (on PC B).

Did that somehow overwrite the profile? Even though it was a different PC?

I am using Firefox 129.0.1 on a Windows 11 laptop and the three dots do not appear on the shortcut tiles when I hover over any of them. I have checked online documentation and it still describes using the three dots to add, edit or remove a tile. Am I missing something? Help would be most appreciated.

When I enter a search term like "Boston hotels map" I'm looking for a map but instead I get a list of commercial web sites that are trying to sell me a hotel room - how do I change this so that I get information, not ads?

I want to use a fingerprint reader for login.gov and id.me but do not seem to be able to get my just added fingerprint reader to be usable by Firefox (129). It identifies in hardware as a CS9711Fingprint. Anyone have any input about this?

XUL Runner platform version 129.01 is not compatible with 129.0 miniversion 129.0 maxversion 129.0 When this happened at first I did not have the use of Firefox. I then went to Firefox and down downloaded Firefox and started over. Then I went to go to my bookmarks and could not find them, bummer. I type something in Firefox, say "mice". A Google search string appears in the address bar, but it is greyed out, and nothing else happens. I have to go to that bar and hit Return to get to the search results. After this has happened once, everything appears to work as expected until I close the browser. On reopening, the problem has returned.

bold textdownloading only produces " .part " files in my downloads directory. I had previously attempted a large file download but error message said it was not completed. Now cannot download anything

I have been using Firefox as my primary browser in Windows and Linux Mint for many years, and I have always found it to work when other browsers would not. Recently (last few months) functions in Ancestry.com stopped working. I thought that the problems were within the Ancestry system, and getting help within Ancestry was very difficult. I finally got a help chat session a short time ago and learned that everything in Ancestry should work using the Chrome browser. Very reluctantly, I loaded the Chrome browser on one of my Windows 11 computers, and suddenly all of the functions within Ancestry worked properly. I sincerely hope that FIrefox will soon resume being fully functional with Ancestry.com.

Whenever I type youtube.com into the search bar and hit enter, it says it crashed and i can't get in. Here are all my crash id's by the way

When I try to edit & crop in Google Photos, I get the image artifacts as you can see in the image with lines and the image doesn't correct itself so it's impossible to edit well. If I save the image after all the lines are added, then reload it will show but then I have to start the crop over again to get both sides.

This works fine in Google Chrome, so there is some issue with the Firefox browser on my laptop. graphics: Intel Iris Xe Graphics 1920x1080 x 8bit 60.05 Hz refresh rate

What could be causing an issue on Firefox but not Chrome?

I set up a custom search extension and am trying to use 'z' as the keyword.

It doesn't work. If I use anything else, it works fine, I just can't use 'z'.

Since I use 'z' in Chrome, I'd like to keep it consistent.

I don't see any other search engines using that keyword.

Is there something I'm missing here? Why can't I seem to use 'z' as a search engine keyword?

Firefox now asks for primary password every time it starts even if it is not needed to access a site with a saved password. Removing and resetting primary password does not fix the problem.
