I have the volume control all the way up. I turn the volume control on videos all the way up. I have just updated Firefox. The sound is too low. Is there an add-on? It used to be OK, not now.

Ok, I've resolved this in the past, several version of Firefox ago, under windows. Firefox crashes silently, open it again and no tabs are restored. Open firefox again and look in recently closed windows and the one with my tabs is not there, only little utility windows that are popped up when I log in at the coffee shop, so my recently closed windows are overwritten with windows with no tabs.

So I go to my profile sessionstore-backups folder and copy it to the desktop. I have 6 files, previous.jsonlz4, recovery.baklz4, and recovery.jsonlz4 at around 8 megs in size. I copied each to the folder one level up and renamed them sessionstore.jsonlz4, and each time restarted firefox. All that opens is a blank tabbed firefox window.

There was never an existing sessionstore.jsonlz4 file anywhere I could find, even with firefox closed, this file never appears anywhere I could find it. Searching files with Windows was also unsuccessful.

I feel like I have captured the files with my tabs, based on the date modified, several were from before the crash. Why can't I find a working tutorial on how to restore my tabs? Nothing I've found on the support site works though I follow the directions exactly.

So a while ago I opened firefox on my computer and noticed all my bookmarks were dead (they had the globe and wouldn't go anywhere when clicked), I thought 'weird' and didn't do anything at the time because it wasn't what I was busy with at the time. Then, recently, I open firefox and my bookmarks are linked wrong. Like, I have Netflix bookmarked, it says Netflix, it has been netflix for as long as I have used Firefox, but if I click on it, it takes me to an article I read weeks ago at this point -one I did not bookmark or even view repeatedly. In some of my folders all of the bookmarks are missing, like they aren't dead, they're just gone.

But if I go to my ipad firefox and access my desktop bookmarks from that sync -which I literally just re-synced today- I have all my bookmarks. All of them exist, the links are fine, they're there. But I have tried refreshing Firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling it, restarting my computer, logging out of my account, removing all my extensions, everything I can think of and! Nothing!

Also, if I try to restore my bookmarks from an older file, it does nothing. Or it will say it can't access them.

I don't know what's going on. I know if I wanted to I could go through and re-bookmark them all because I do have access to all of them on my ipad, but I mostly want to know if there is a way to fix it on my desktop or even figure out what happened. I can't remember anything happening around the time with my browser. Any help is much appreciated!

Not exactly sure why but the browser is no longer working for my banking. I first noticed it a week ago when I tried to log in and then ended up calling the bank tech support. They told me to use google chrome instead. I have been using Firefox for years and never had a problem. After researching for latest update changes, I tried changing the settings to allow cookies for the session for the bank but this did not work either. Any idea why this is happening? Thank you. Stopped receiving daily Washington Post newsletters yesterday, and they question if Firefox changed something? Is there something new preventing receiving them? If yes, how can I change it to allow the Washington Post e-mails? Thank you!

Hey, I have been putting up quality content that is being shared by some of the top content on the internet but am still unable to perform better in search. My URL is https://actogames.com/ from the team looking into this.

I want to be able to open any links I choose in new tabs/windows, either with MMB or context menu. Many sites use JavaScript to thwart this - only allowing the link to open in the same tab. aboutconfig settings make no difference for these sites. Disabling JavaScript also fails as inevitably the offending website then won’t work at all. I have not been able to find an add-on which achieves my aim either.

It’s particularly annoying when there are a large number of links and I want to open all of them in new tabs. The only way I have found is to copy the URL of the offending page into a number of new tabs and then click the links in each tab.

Firefox has been updated on my PC at least 100 times. It ALWAYS brings up the screen asking me to verify if thiis program can make changes to my computer, Why? Is v 102.1 the latest? I don't know I see other comments about other versions.

And so many more issues I am about to pull every last hair out of my head. I don't even know how your Bookmarks work, nothing like I've ever seen. And, why does Firefox Browser open in different pages, sometimes. I'll have 2 rows or 3 rows of add-ons. Sometimes the font is so tiny I cannot read it, other times it's just fine.

I know what you are going to do. You'll give me some instructions with words that mean nothing to me. Then you'll provide articles I can read, and they mean nothing to me either. I AM NOT an IT person. I just want to turn on my computer and have it work properly JUST ONCE! Wouldn't that be great, then maybe twice in a row!

I thoiught i would be happy with Firefox, but I'm not. Just like I'm not happy with Windows platforms from 7 onward. Instead of making things easier for the everyday user all you do is make things more confusing and complex. I read some of the questions on this website and I don't even know what they're talking about.

DO YOU SEE THE INFORMATION ATTACHED? It is WRONG and has been WRONG for months and months, but no one wants to address the issue. Most of you simply IGNORE this information and I'm guessing you don't know how to correct it.

First of all, I DO NOT have Windows 8, I've never had Windows 8 or any derivation of Windows 8 on this PC or any other ELECTRONIC device I have now or in the past, EVER! One day I turned on my PC checked for updates and to my HORROR this is what I found.

The latest information you have assigned to me is THUNDERBIRD, DON'T know what it is or why I have it listed as something I use, I Don't.

Firefox is the WORST browser I have EVER used. Whenever I have a problem you respond with some ridiculous IT jargon and I'm supposed to fix it and there are so many problems I can't even begin to count them. YOU EXPECT EVERYONE to know how to program, understand programming jargon, and simply fix YOUR problems. What you need is a SUPPORT phone number for those of us who are not as SMART as you. Yeah, yeah I know your all volunteers, MAYBE it's time you hired people who know what they are doing and can speak to people in a language that is UNDERSTANDABLE to most of us in the REAL WORLD!!!!!!

Fix this problem. I want it fixed, not by ME by YOU folks at Firefox before I transfer all of my files to my new PC.

OH, I know EXACTLY what your response is going to be; You're going to waste my time with a million questions that have NOTHING to do with anything, then you'll want me to try this or that or the other thing while you CROSS YOUR FINGERS and hope that I can fix it! DO NOT DO THAT, or you will simply IGNORE my question which is what MOST EVERYONE in your organization does. REALLY, they simply pretend I haven't asked this question.

GET with the program and figure out HOW TO SERVE regular everyday people who use your product. I've read too many articles about problems that you continue to have without resolution, and the numbers of people leaving FIREFOX.

I WOULD HAVE to say, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! I don't care if you use volunteers or not, what I care about is communication that makes sense to me, NOT to you. When I read your articles that are supposed to CLEAR up the issue and then you name those volunteers who wrote the article, am I impressed? Only in the sense of the stupidity of your idea of HELP!

STOP WITH YOUR educated guesses about my BROWSER, this is just another way of AVOIDANCE FOR YOU! If NO ONE in your organization will even address this issue you couldn't possibly know ANYTHING!

I have changed my default browser from Chrome to Firefox because of the "v3 chains".

I can´t get rid of the 4-5 px Border around my windows Browser frame. It reflects somehow parts of the onscreen-content... in the images you can see the YT-video that I was watching. It is pretty anoying... I tried some changes but nothing seems to work. I use the dark-theme in Windows-designs and dark theme in FF-Themes..

Yeah, it is one of these very little things that makes me wanna cut my screen with a chainsaw on the edges. Does anyone have a fix 4 that, plz?

After update to 115.2.1, FF crashes at startup for one User, but not the other. FF Safe Mode also crashes (SHIFT key). I tried running the 115.2.1 install on the problem User, but it also crashes right after completion. The second user is handicapped, so I have yet to try to uninstall/reinstall because FF runs on her User and I hate to screw things up so that she is locked out.

• • • JUST NOTED - Chrome also crashes with same NTDLL error (same DLL version number). Did the FF update do something with the NTDLL file?

Terry, thanks for writing me but I even have problems when I only use a couple tabs and I rarely use Facebook or Reddit. Yet even with limited use of Firefox it inevitably expands and expands using up more and more memory until I have to exit Firefox. Is there anything I can do to limit Firefox?

I'm just reinstall my windows 8. But, i don't know why the firefox appearance are weird and difficult to used because of the appearance. What should i do? Nb: It looks normal on "troubleshoot mode".

i get 'server not found' and 'try again' window when trying to access sites and even within sites if i manage to get on - after several 'try again' clicks

could this be related to recently installed fibre optics or do i have a virus - my anti-virus protection is bitdefenders

how can i change text color for downloaded themes  ? as the photo this recommended theme wold be better if i can change colors of the text on tabs.. couldn't find a recommended extensions to do this job
