I was filling out a City of Portland nuisance complaint form, but the "SUBMIT" button would not appear in order for the complaint form to be transmitted. I could only scroll down so far -- there was nothing more, no page two, etc. Email to City confirmed the problem with the form was on my end. Then I used Safari to get that same City complaint form. Same site, same form. But, on Safari there was about a full page more to the form that had been missing on Firefox. Additional questions, boxes to check, spaces to fill, places to upload photos/files. And at the bottom of the form was the "SUBMIT" button. I don't think I've had this particular issue with other forms, questionnaires, etc. elsewhere. Is there a filter or something blocking random stuff?

I'm not able to Screenshot the page as shown in Safari, so: https://www.portland.gov/homelessness-impact-reduction/report-campsite I think I can "Add image" as a screenshot of the form as shown in Firefox . . . . . . . . . . . . . . oh well, turns out I don't know how to make all that happen. Thanks for whatever anyone can come up with.

I use Firefox on Ubuntu Linux, and it works fine.

For unrelated reasons I have created a new Linux Mint 22 boot partition, and I would like to use the same Firefox profile on both Linux OS-s, without having to move or copy the existing profile I use on Ubuntu. (The profile is placed on a third independent data partition!) I cannot find any information on how to do it. All information I find involves moving the profile, but then Firefox on Ubuntu would not be able to continue to use it.

Cannot clear browsing history. Delete page does not work. Clear recent history does not work.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I think it automatically imported everything which was not desirable in this case.

Do not have account or sync so it is not pulling from either of those places

Firefox is the only program on my computer which struggles with connecting to the internet for some reason, other browsers and programs work fine. Everything times out, even the update checker in settings. It opens local files without issue. It started 7+ days ago, i have tried doing everything on the "firefox doesn't load internet pages in, other browsers do" but it didn't change anything.

I wanted to sign in to my google account but the link under logging in is towards a help centre question about clearing cache. I can in no way log in to my google account on firefox. Can someone help me with this? The problem I encounter has happened since I begin to use Firefox on Windows 11. The same problem happened to my Macbook as well, but a workaround is available. While with Windows 11, I can't find the solution anywhere on the web. Whenever I type on the browser, if I write a non-character notation right behind the word (like "this,"), the word would usually auto delete itself or sometimes, the word clone itself out (e.g, wordword, thisthi, etc.) or it deletes a small section of words right behind that non-char. I don't have insert turning on. I am quite uncertain whether you can reproduce this error on your laptop (for me, I have been through 2 windows 11 laptop and this error still persist). This error seems to only occurs for Vietnamese (Telex and VNI) default keyboard from Microsoft, Russian and English work fine. I suspect that it is caused by Microsoft Vietnamese, but I have unchecked all kind of spelling checking on settings. So should I use a third-party Vietnamese language typing for this situation or does it caused by something else?

One of the things I heavily rely on with FireFox is it storing words I type in reply boxes on various forums. Lately however, Firefox only seems to keep them for several hours, then they disappear. For example, I can type in "K Frame." (See image attached) The next time I go to use that field again, that text will automatically appear. And it may continue to do so for several hours, even if I close out Firefox and return later, but eventually, within 24 hours, it will disappear and I will have to retype it again the nest time I want to use that phrase. FireFox used to hold these words or phrases forever.

Any suggestions????? Both my Windows 11 and Firefox are up to date.

Bookmarks dropdown menu opens up halfway down and it's not possible to scroll back up to the top and add a bookmark. At first I thought it was a mouse problem - changed mouse - problem remains.

Can several homepages, each one individually assigned to Mail, Finances, News, Video be saved and re-awoken upon startup as individual desktops or home pages ? I would like not to have to repopulate windows upon startup.

I have an odd problem with a friend's Firefox and Thunderbird on Windows. The font changed to white in the address bar, the tab titles, some content on websites, some elements of the settings etc.

From what I can see there is no difference to my settings under "Language and Appearance". When I create a new profile either with the profile manager in Firefox or by renaming "%appdata"\Mozilla Firefox", nothing changes. So I can rule out a custom userchrome.css or similar in the profile folder. When I switch to "troubleshoot mode" with the old or the new profile, everything looks fine.

It also affects Thunderbird, but no other programms.

I can't figure out, where the problem lies.

I keep the browser open and at some time my C drive has limited disk space.(~100mb) Then extensions stop working and after a browser restart, all extension data are lost. In my opinion current extension data shouldn't be lost even if disk space is limited.

I can't play videos on any platform. it just gets stuck buffering. Steps I've already tried: -uninstall extensions -clear cache -restart browser -restart computer -uninstall & reinstall firefox current ver. -uninstall & reinstall previous ver.

I'm experiencing a relatively new issue where mono audio in Firefox only plays out of the left channel. The same sources play out of both channels in Safari. I'm on MacOS 14.6.1, Firefox 131.0.3. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

I keep a lot of pinned tabs, and one of those is my gmail account. After I delete cookies, I go to that tab to sign back in, and it opens another tab, causing me to have to pin and move the second tab and then delete the original tab.

Sometimes I'm taken back to login even after I've just left gmail for checking messages. Sometimes I can click and hold the back button and reopen it on an already sign-in instance of gmail, but not when I clear cookies.

This doesn't happen for any other site, just gmail. How do I fix this, or is there no fix?

when opening o365 and open a PDF attachment that was fillable, I cannot view the filled in texts, unless i download the file and view with my default PDF viewer., even doing preview i cannot see the filled in portions of the document. I can view on Chrome and Edge and outlook app on my PC. I have attached a jpeg for your viewing, if you look at top part it shows what i get in Firefox, the bottom is with any other browser or office app. I am using windows 10 and the latest browser Firefox.

Latest update (10/2/24) is impossible to use. How can I get back the prior version for Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 on my Macbook Air?

I have a TBI that really limits my ability to process information. The tabs now have a dropdown that is very confusing and gets in the way of my working. I have to shut Firefox and leave the computer, but of course when I am recovered from the confusion, I come back to the same situation.

I was able to find a way to stop the even-more-frustrating dropdown video preview, but it's not enough.

I have relied on FF for years, but it seem that putting more bells & whistles is more important than providing a functional browser interface. Please explain to me in plain English how to remove the overloaded browser and revert to a version I can utlize without a breakdown.

There's one specific field I fill in very often and for some reason Firefox is really keen on suggesting me two searches that I looked up more than a couple months ago, on a totally different site. I can't even remove these suggestions or add new ones. When I used Vivaldi, it'd learn what I insert (even if it'd end up suggesting tens and tens of options), while Firefox doesn't learn at all.

For sake of an example, let's say that the word I use every day in this field is XYZ. Not even once was it suggested to me, I've only ever gotten the two in the screenshot below instead. And I can't remove them using the Delete key as some other article suggested.

Speaking of which, I just noticed the same thing happen to the subject line in this form 🙃

I have what i am sure is a common scenario, a work pc (mac) and home pc (linux), and I want to have a work profile and home profile that are independently synced across those PCs.

It's no problem to setup sync for the work profile but while setting up sync for the home profile it seems firefox doesn't grok that the home profile already exists and treats it like a new mozilla account.

In debugging this issue (and the "Primary account email required for sign-in" issue, which prevented me from signing in at all) i've come across numerous articles that imply this basic home<->home work<->work sync across 2 devices does not work with firefox. Is this the case? this is a basic (IMO mandatory) requirement for a browser in 2024 and even the difficulty of setting this up is super jarring coming from Chrome.
