I want to allow websites access to my exact location. Where in about:config preferences do I set this up? I have read many confusing threads about this all over the web. And I may have messed up a few of those preferences. So please tell me about related preferences and what their settings should be too.

I also want to block all other location info such as from my IP, Google, wifi, cell towers, etc.. So that the websites only get the exact latitude and longitude. It is easy for me to get my exact latitude and longitude by searching for my address on Google Maps. The latitude and longitude is in the resulting URL.

I am on a desktop PC using Windows 10 Pro.

This is just a complaint . . . Settings>Cookies and Site Data>Manage Data does not show the server that set a cookie, it only shows the domain -- e.g. domain.com, not https://www.domain.com or even www.domain.com However, Settings>Cookies and Site Data>Manage Exceptions requires the complete server name. If I don't include "https://" or "http://" it adds them. This makes it difficult or impossible to actually manage exceptions; I can't specify which cookie(s) I want to allow, block, or save if I can't see the data that's stored.

Why can't I choose a domain in Manage Data and get a Manage Exceptions pop-up?

Hi, When you click "settings" in notifications, in the privacy and security settings, a new window opens instead of a tab, so this setting has no URL of its own. In Chromium-based browsers they have the URL "*browser name*://settings/content/notifications", so I could add this URL to bookmarks and access it quickly. Is there any way to do something similar in Firefox? Thanks

I have developed some training with html canvas. The target classroom PCs have no internet connection. I loaded the standard Firefox file on a portable hard drive, but when I go to load it on the classroom PCs it attempts to connect to the internet. Is there an offline version?

I no longer have access to the email address where you keep sending my verification code to, so that i can finalize my logging in and get access to my account, So, how to fix this please?

Hello all,

There are a number of threads on this topic asking how to sync Shortcuts from one device to another. It appears that across the board the answer is that you cannot do this (see: this, this, this, this, or this to identify just a few).

It does appear to be the case that you can copy `browser.newtabpage.pinned` from `about:config` but this cannot be transferred to iPadOS, iOS, or easily shared between Android and macOS. It also does not update long term.

There have also been requests for this feature to be added (see this) though a lot of content around this topic appears to be confused as to what to call it and is notated within other recommendations.

I am wondering if anyone from the Mozilla/Firefox team can speak as to why this setting is not available, and what would be needed to see it become possible to sync shortcuts (and ```especially``` pinned shortcuts) within Firefox Sync.

Every time I want to reload this file to change or debug something, I have to close all my browers windows at once, reopen FireFox, and restore my previous session just to save my tabs. It's growing so exhausting that it's making me want to switch browsers. Is there any way around this?

Hi everyone

I can no longer drag a bookmark to a folder and insert it where I need to in the folder, which previously was very useful.

Now when I drag a bookmark and try to insert it where I need to it defaults to inserting it as the first / top bookmark in the folder. Which means I have to drag it a second time to its desired position.

Please could anyone advise about how to get the functionality back.

Hello, I'm teaching German as a foreign language - both f2f and online via Zoom. Up until recently I could call up the websites I would need for the online training, turn off the computer to save power and when I started it again the next day, all the tabs from the previous session would automatically reappear when I started Firefox. But now I cannot click the option "Open previous windows and tabs". I really don't want to completely delete this program and start from scrap because I'm scared I might lose all the bookmarks I collected for my job over the years. Hi, I've have used firefox for quite a while. I had many logins & passwords saved with the account. Before i just used to download the app on phone, login to my account without even sync i'd have all my logins. Now i just installed the app on the phone (i had to reset it) but there are no logins to be found. Please tell me how to get the logins back, I've lot of important logins.

I am receiving hundreds of spam emails from gmail.com email addresses and they all say to: and list at least 20 or more googlegroups.com groups. SO it seems they are using my yahoo email to send all these google groups a message to join some dating site. Most all of them go to spam or trash but I want to know if I can block them completely by blocking or using a filter that can block words, or domains like @googlegroups.com. SEE BELOW It only shows my email in the raw message. Your filters only allow me to send them to the trash folder when I would rather block them 100% I have no idea why I am receiving them and not a member of googlegroups and they are using my email to send these through. I can block each gmail but they change every time. I do not know if there is a actual from email I could block that is hid in the raw message but I doubt it since they change the from email.

So i buy vehicles from an insurance auction, IAA. As of the last few months, whenever i go to iaai.com to view some vehicles and then go to try and watch the "Engine Starts Video" it goes to play it but its just a white blank page with the sound playing but not the video. I have ran Firefox in "Safe Mode" and the video plays normally. So i thought maybe a plugin or add-on or something but i cant find anything at all. That pretty much sums up how far my skills can take me, as far as the settings. I was wondering if anyone here would know where to start, what to check for, anything. Everything works on any other website as far as i know. i haven't encountered another website where it does this. But this is the computer at work and so i use that website a lot here and its frustrating because i don't want to have to use another browser since i have everything already on Firefox and a switch would be a headache

Problem: "Video cannot be played on your device as it does not meet content protection standards" Message when trying to stream videos but only on Amazon Prime.

I have searched the internet for an answer only to be told the problem lies in the browser. I find this confusing because a few months ago I was always watching Amazon Prime videos on Firefox browser. What has changed? How can I correct it? I have the latest Firefox update (108.0.1 64 bit) on my mac Book Pro, MacOS Ventura 13.1.

When it is working normally, I get a normal, fast result. I did the same "twitter" search I mentioned above and then I cut/paste from the address bar in google for you below, which is a normal result:
