Trying to download nord vpn and is says "failed" tried to download a receipt for the purchase of above and it says "failed" the browser on Win 10 is set to save files to downloads

Ive tried reinstalling firefox because i am not able to download anything with this browser. I thought freshly installing firefox would fix the issue and allow me to download but it didnt. I also am tried to download an addon/extension, and that automatically fails to download. How can i fix this?

Recently Firefox always has the error "failed to check for update". I have tried restarting my pc and running as admin. I am on windows 10.

I have been able to manually install the latest version by installing it over the top of my current install, how can I fix the error to be sure that my browser will auto update?

I upgraded from 126.0.1 to 127 today. Upon update, all my windows are gone. The only way I could access them is to revert to an older profile backup and reinstall 126.0.1.

I tried exporting my session with Tab Session Manager in 126.0.1 and reopen them in 127, but that only restores the last tab of each window (oddly). The json clearly lists 3 windows each with multiple tabs. I tried copying the sessionstore-backups folder, but no dice.

I started using firefox actively a year back or something like that, last couple of months it started driving me nuts as it started updating every time I launch it, which is very annoying even if it takes only 10 15 seconds, I sometimes need to check something really quick and I have to wait for it to finish installing an update, even though I checked the setting for it to do so in the background, it seems to only do it after I launch it disrupting my workflow, which made me switch back to Chrome temporarily, is there a way to fix this?

Why am I getting these notifications? I have the latest version, but this prompt not only asks me to update, but there's no mention that it will install the beta 125.0 beta 1

I tried to log onto Youtube so I could make a few comments on a football game. They had to send me a code to my email (HOTMAIL) BTW I never received a code to LOG into YouTube. I used "Snip & Sketch" as I have many many times before but now I open a photo to edit it and Microsoft has taken over my photos. I mean as far as my editing capabilities. I've tried all the "OPEN WITH" options but can not get to the basic photo editor. Need some help here... Thanks in advance Steve

I have not been able to sign in to my firefox account. I recently re-installed windows and tried to log in in firefox but its giving the error "The request was blocked for security reasons". How do i fix it? Help me i have important bookmarks and websites that i don't want to lose.

I reset a computer, deleting all my files. I want to use, as I do elsewhere, Firefox as my browser. And though I signed into Firefox using my old credentials, none of my bookmarks are there. How do I complete this setup?

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

I know that there is a generic Linux iteration that can be downloaded, but it does not appear to allow for use on ARM64. Is there a way that I can download, install, and access Firefox on my Orange Pi 5 Plus?

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually download the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

Originally reported on April 11th /questions/1444593: I have Windows 11 and the Firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "Failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

I'm using

• Firefox DevEd (manually installed) as my primary driver and
• the standard Firefox (installed from the package manager) for leisure/hobby related browsing

each with its own Mozilla account and profile, on Manjaro KDE. Sadly, either Firefox sees all the profiles. They have usually different versions. If I mistakenly start one of the Foxes in the other Fox's profile, the newer version of Firefox (usually Firefox DevEd) autostarts migrating that profile. Which it renders the profile "corrupted" for its intended Firefox.

I'd like to have Firefox DevEd unable to see profiles (or anything else) intended for the standard Firefox and vice versa. Or at least unable to botch profiles. I do not want to disable migration or use no. Given that Firefox configuration location is hard-coded, I'm not having high hopes for my wish.

I'm wondering if there is a way to keep two Firefox installations completely isolated, other than running them in containers.

I restarted my Windows 11 laptop and got error message about user profile. Restarted again and looks like it was corrupted so deleted my my user profile and Firefox config and bookmarks are gone!

Still have all the files just a new user profile and the old one is gone?

Any help how to get Firefox bookmarks back would be much appreciated

I've followed this tutorial on howto install firefox as deb via apt. After successfull installation the menu font looks really wierd. It looks stretched and the numbers are not displayed correctly.

Ubuntu 23.10 Firefox beta

We develop a system on D365 platform. On Chrome enviroment, I click the export option, it will download the excel file, I can open it on Excel. However, I click the export option on FireFox, it will download the excel file but I can't open it on Excel. When I use the notepad to open the file to see the content, I found the file become HTML content. I can see the file on web broswer. I don't know why the file content will be change HTML content when I use the Firefox to download it.

I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 and just reinstalled for unrelated reasons. I'm trying to copy my Firefox profile over from my backup to the new installation.

I used the Ubuntu Snap store to install Firefox and put my old profile in -- this is the one that I was using on my previous Ubuntu 24.04 installation just a couple days ago -- and everything seems fine, but I do see this error message:

[ERROR error_support::handling] suggest-unexpected: Error opening database: Incompatible database version: 18

It gets printed when I type things in the search bar, so it seems related to some sqlite database related to history and autocompletion.

Is there a way to fix this? I'm fine with just deleting it, so long as the other parts of the profile remain.

(This is a strange error, since after all I was using the exact same setup -- Firefox on Ubuntu 24.04, installed via snap -- just a couple days ago, and it was, as far as I know, up-to-date.)
