how to stop Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.yahoo.com (see the browser console for more information).

Dear Firefox Team, I would like to ask you to consider updating Firefox for Windows desktop computers. I appreciate the innovative solutions introduced in your products, so I would like to propose adding a new functionality to the browser's home page. I propose implementing the option of displaying news directly on the home page. Users could easily select news categories that interest them, which would allow for better personalization of the presented content. What's more, it would be possible to set the refresh rate of the displayed news - for example, every 3, 5 minutes or at any selected time intervals.

I am convinced that such a feature would significantly increase the usability of the browser and could attract more users who expect quick and personalized information on a daily basis.

Thank you for your time and for considering my proposal. I hope that future releases of Firefox will find a place for this innovative functionality.

As the subject says and the issue being there seems to be no info regarding what "helper" is being installed !

I'm on macOS Big Sur and the update does not finish if admin password is not given...

So, what helper is it ?

Did I miss something (quite possible although I made several attempts) ?

I have an issue where I will frequently get the error pictured on random sites. This started happening a few years ago at my previous home with my old computer. It got so annoying that I had to switch to Brave browser for a while. I recently moved to a new residence, I have a new computer, and a different ISP and equipment, so I thought I would give Firefox a try again. To my shock, the issue still occurs exactly the same way at the same rate. I would say it is as frequent as 1 in 5 sites that I visit. If I hit the Try Again button 5 or so times, the site will load. The only thing I can think of that is common to the old computer and the new one is my Firefox account. Could there be something in my settings causing this to happen? I remember that I even tried Librewolf before switching to Brave but the issue occurred there as well. Any assistance or tips would be appreciated, I feel like I am going crazy at this point. xD

I am tired of this bullshit.

So i was using the beta branch of the firefox and beta version stopped working with a site for some time. so i tried to come back to the stable version.

After i do that and fix my config. In every couple of hours there would be a notification window pop up with sound saying this

"firefox this profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile"

So i did create a new profile BUT i copy pasted my own configuration.UI stuff from my old settings from "About:config"

This notification STILL comes up FFS what do i need to do then?

HOW COME MY UI CONFIGURATION TRIGGERS THE DAMN NOTIFICATION?

I will not re-do my fckng UI configuration by hand.

Hello, I have some issues with Firefox keeping my logged in my Google account. When I close Firefox it logs me out of Google, but not other websites. I have tried some methods from other threads on this site but still without success. I have the setting for delete cookies on Firefox close to off and have tried Firefox remember history and use custom settings. Thank you for reading this.

She denied permission to install helper at first, but that caused firefox to be dysfunctional. Retrying the install and giving permission to install the helper did not correct the problem. Her laptop is pretty much down for the count on this problem - firefox does not come up. Endless spinning beachball.

Is a work-around available?

It seems there is some conflict between the firefox helper and her VPN, private internet access (PIA) adding the login background task. She's. been using PIA for years.

I would try removing and re-installing firefox as a work-around but that would destroy the her bookmarks she relies on.

When i try to drag a text/word/link to between tabs (i generally have 10 tabs open) it opens a new tab at the far right. I tried to change "browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent" but it just opens the new tab next to the tab that i'm viewing. For example, when i'm at the sixth tab and i want to open a new tab (by dragging) between third and fourth tabs it opens that tab on the far right. This wasn't like that before how can i change it?

I've been using Firefox for 10+ years, and have not touched my add-ons etc for years. I also regularly clear my cache of temp files.

That said, searching my (vast) bookmarks in Firefox used to be lickety-split, very fast. Then, it started slowing down, on both PC (Windows 10). Then, a little while later, it started on my laptop (Macbook with latest IoS).

It's now gotten so bad that I am searching my emails to find the links I'm looking for, rather than putting my browser into a coma for a time, because it freezes.

What is the problem, and how do I overcome it?

I primarily use Firefox Browser but occasionally use Edge for better printing of certain document files, so I open specific files in Edge when necessary. I save files in the Edge One Drive. When opening them in File Explorer from One Drive documents, I prefer them to open in Firefox unless explicitly opened with Edge.

• How can I ensure that all my documents consistently open in Firefox instead of Edge?

I recently switched from Brave to FireFox, and notice that my Google search results page doesn't load properly. I'm not sure how long after switching this was an issue. I feel like Google worked fine for a time, but now it's suddenly loading improperly.

I've also grabbed the console output from Google when on a search results page. You can find that here.

I'm using Windows 11 and have never had this issue happen before as far as I can remember. I am aware of a thread with an identical issue, but my issue still persists even after trying their solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

Videos will not play in firefox. They will play in safari. I tried clearing cache and settings to allow websites to auto play video and sound. Nothing is working. It says I have the latest version of firefox. HELP!

Since the last two Firefox updates currently have 136.0.2 (64-bit) "Open link in new tab" has been doing weird stuff like.... 1) it will open the link in a new tab BUT also opens the link in the already open tab giving me two open pages the same. Kind of defeats the option of "Open link in new tab". 2) trying to highlight text is not as simple as it once was. Left click before the text hold then drag, sometimes it starts then the blue highlight box just disappears or jumps to a different part of the text and sometimes nothing at all happens. 3) the mouse has been playing up as well since the last two Firefox updates, click the x in a tab to close the tab nothing happens and it is not as accurate there was a sort of margin to where the pointer had to been before the command worked not right on whatever you wanted the pointer to operate now it has to be as accurate as possible before it recognizes the command as the x to close a tab ect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and drivers still happens. A still image would not really show the problem I need a video but I don't know how to do that and could I upload it?
