Normally it would simply pop up as Elk Grove Village as that is the website this is in, but it does not and I can not enter the name of the city in the box provided. I have a backup on my portable drive, where the F.Fox files cannot be deleted, not with WinRar either, they cannot be renamed. These are system files for F.Fox. The folder location is AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/ggsw864i.default-release/storage/default. In this folder I have had several files that belongs to the long file name category. They are compressed, cannot separate them by opening and cannot rename them for to assign a shorten name. There is no Properties to open. The files starting string: https+++ I have several data on this HD and it would be a huge task move the content then reformatting the drive. I did try the Windows Command Prompt rename method - it does not work either. Any help would be appreciated!

I searched for an official portable version of firefox and one of the first results was this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1247235 anyways this seems dissapointing since he says we should only download from official sources and at the same time there is no official portable version, can i be honest.. this sucks. You know time passed since that thread was created (3 years...) but still no offfical version, why?

Also, how are chances mozilla will work on a portable official version? any plans?

Firefox just updated with version 100 and I've lost (or can't find) the option to restore my last session. What's up with that? I need help please.

Why does the current version of firefox have a download manager window open very time a new download is initiated? This is a nuisance. It is typical for me to download many small files in a session and having that window open every time, and having to click it away is a nuisance. Is there a way to disable this feature I haven't found?

For the first time in a week I went directly to my GMX account but couldn't se my emails, contacts or any information other than the form layouts the pages are blank, however in Opera everything is seen. Also for many months Firefox doesn't allow the Recaptures to load so many sites, and services like sending of contact forms, wont work, its extremely frustrating as Firefox has all my passwords. I could go to Pale moon is the PW's can be shared as a FF user of over 20 years it is my preferred browser and would appreciate these issues resolved please.

i opened firefox (v.95) and tried opening up my email and found that all my saved passwords were gone from firefox on my computer. it said i should crate a firefox account to get my logins back so i did and i still could not access any of my web logins. so i searched the help pages. opened up my profile n made a backup of my key3, key4, n loginjson files, downloaded v.91 firefox esr and copied my key3 file into a new profile.

so i still dont have my web logins ... n now i have an outdated version of firefox with none of my bookmarks either. im sick of troubleshooting n my wifi is almost out for the month.

how do i get my web logins and bookmarks back so i dont have to spend hundreds of hours recreating them?

Can't get a login page to load on Synchrony Bank for Amazon Credit Card since update. Using Google Chrome to get into my account. Called Synchrony, they say it's Firefox since update. Can't call anyone at Firefox, no phone numbers available nor do they provide an email address, not right. How do I get someone at Firefox to fix this problem?

Hello

After the latest Firefox update, 101.0 (64-Bit) for Windows, the text of our website can't be read anymore because it suddenly appears way too bright.

It worked since years before and still works with other browsers.

Is this a know bug with version 101 and might be fixed? Or is there any other problem?

Back in 2019 I learned how to set Firefox so that a website opening a new window would always include standard menus (the website could not suppress them). Now I get windows without the menus and controls I need.

I used some combination of 

dom.disable_window_open_feature.menubar

   and

dom.event.contextmenu.enabled

These haven't done the job for over a year now.

How do I do this now?

When I try to play iplayer as of June 2022 it comes up with error 5000/5001. Other tv players are no longer playing either, Channel 4 for some time now. My laptop runs on Windows 8 and I have the latest version of firefox. In plug ins my codec is set on always activate as is Widevine CDM. I tried unchecking 'play DRM controlled content' in settings then checked it again and it has come up with Widevine CDM will be installed shortly, but nothing has happened.

I'm a regular user & used Firefox since long time on my PC & Smartphones i loved this browser. Firefox is my main browser and there are more than 50 website Login & Passwords saved on my Firefox account. Because i trust Firefox so much. I don't keep passwords anywhere except Firefox & i don't even remember all this logins. Recently i forgot my Firefox password and just reset the password unaware of that is caused delete all my logins. So when i reset i lost all my important logins and password. I don't no why you guys did this and now i lost all my hopes. i cant even log my Facebook, Instagram, twitter and so many important websites i daily using. Please i appreciate if recover my old logins & password to this Firefox account and let me keep using Firefox in future.

I need help I cant log into my health plan, I click on log in it brings me to name , pasword etc but nothing happens, the little round thing on the center does not rottate. please help i am not computer savvy. Thanks for any help you can give me.

A friend used my PC and now whenever I have to fill in a form with my details their name always shows up above mine as a possible autofill option. How do I stop this?
