When I go to recent bookmarks list in firefox and select one, firefox is vectored off to paydaydeals.com I have right click the bookmark and looked at the bookmark details and they look fine. I have check add-ons and extensions none are listed as installed. How is firefox being vectored off to this site? See screen shots. I have scanned with Malwarebytes latest version and Eset online scanner no bugs found.

How can I fix this?

GODDAMN IT. Typed my info and some other link opens and wiped out everything I had typed here, that really pisses me off. Firefox is getting to be nothing but a damn headache now and I'm NOT going to try and retype all that info all over again and re-explain it, that's a load of horse manure, especially when my info typed SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN DELETED by some stupid automated crap! Spent too much time on this already and just WASTED my damn time!

Everytime I try to close my Firefox browser window, it just stops. There are multiple processes taking in excess of 200 or 300K in memory that seem to be causing the problem. I have to manually end the process just to close Firefox, and it is quite annoying. I just checked, my Firefox is up to date. Yesterday I deleted and re-installed Firefox, but it's still doing the same thing. This is kind of driving me nuts to be honest. I have Chrome, Opera, and Edge also installed on my computer so I'm ready to jetisson Firefox but thought I'd see what the community has to say first.

UPDATE - Firefox worked great for a few days but the issue returned not too soon after that. Whatever happened in the last update was only good temporarily. I've already done all the initial troubleshooting steps and believe I may have discovered the root cause of the issue.

There are multiple processes in Firefox whose size is over 100,000 kilobytes in size. Some are over 200K, 300K, and 400K.

As I compare this with other browsers I have on my computer, Edge has no processes over 100K, and neither does Chrome or Opera. I believe this is not coincidence, there is something internal to Firefox which creates large processes that is causing delays in closing it. Once again the problem has started annoying me and has started giving me thoughts of switching browsers again.

Hi, I use Cambridgeone.org materials to teach English online. Never had a problem. Taught last Thursday using Firefox 110.0.1 and digital texbook on Cambridgeone website.

Installed update to Firebox 111.0.1 the next morning. Now the full teacher's toolbar on the textbook doesn't load. (see image) It does on my desktop app (see image).

What can I do? Have cleared all caches, run disk cleanup, even disabled Privacy Badger without effect.

Many sites fail to run videos eg vk.com after updating to 111 version. N>B the videos run smoothly on other browsers

 I have already contacted MS support about the subject issue and they were no help.

I am trying to find out what is causing the issue and how to get rid of it.

 I can't be sure but it may be caused by a Microsoft "START" App.  The issue appeared

to begin about two weeks ago, so it's obviously caused by something new, which may be Microsoft related. Below is Dropbox link to a screen capture of the issue.

 Any tips for ridding my PC / Firefox browser of the issue will be greatly appreciated.

In Firefox Settings I have PDF downloads set to 'Always Ask' ... this used to work well enough (although, depending on my file download dialog choice to 'Open with Firefox', 'Open with - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC' or 'Save File', I seem to be accumulating duplicate PDF file copies in Downloads\Mozilla.org\Downloads ... the duplicate file redundancy is very annoying), however, with the latest update to Firefox, now I am unable to direct download PDFs from the down-arrow symbol within a given e-mail's Gmail attachment icon ... I can view the file in Gmail by clicking on the body of the Gmail attachment icon but the download button within the Gmail file viewer (top right) doesn't work either. So far as I can tell, this behaviour is confined to Gmail alone (i.e.: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#inbox) ... I am able to get the file download dialog for PDF document download links at other websites and successfully retrieve PDF files. What have the developers changed now? Whatever it was, quit it.

When I installed FF on this laptop, I imported successfully my bookmarks, but for some reason for one particular (large) folder, its bookmarks "Description" field was not imported.

I have both the HTML and the json backup bookmarks files. With the HTML file I can copy and paste individual bookmarks and descriptions, but I have probably over 1,000 bookmarks in this folder.

The web page, for my bank, won`t open. I have been using their web page, for a number of years. When I go to the web page, and try to login, all I get is a screen, with a circle, that keep circling, as if it were buffering, and never gets to the login page. Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome seem to work, but not Firefox. My bank is Security Bank Of Kansas City. https://secure.securitybankkc.com/login

For some sites, it gives correct english password. But for a personal site, my password is shown as encrypted, which i have not encrypted. The password is shown, but i could not understand why it shows as encrypted with alpha numerical numbers. how do i turn that to english and keep this as a password. I have never supplied encrypted characters. please give me solution . Does the firefox auto encrypt why it is not user friendly then

The little image shown will appear and float on the left bottom of pages I open including secure pages that require me to log in to enter. That little stick man I consider a security threat and have tried to get rid of it to no avail.

The picture I captured of it was when it was on blue background. If on white background, just the circle with the stick man in it.

How can I delete it?

Is There Anybody knowledgable enoughf at you customer division who can tell me whats wrong..... I tryed 2-3 times to try to get the verificatiuon code to the same of my 3 E-Mails..... Add address in search bar I get "ERROR OCCURRED" It seems something on my end is blocking this ip. Cannot ping from pc or router.
